I purchased this hand cream after hearing great things about it from friends and family. My hands were extremely dry and the skin was cracked and even bleeding in some places. I have to wash my hands rather often and it has caused severely dry skin that no other hand creams or moisturizers have seemed to help. After about a week of using the product daily, my skin had begun to heal and was more hydrated than it had ever been before. It provided such relief and has been keeping my hands nice and moisturized ever since, no more cracked or bleeding skin even with the frequent hand washing. The product comes in a flat, round pot and is colorless and fragrance free. Another great thing about it is that it's not at all greasy, and it absorbs into the skin quickly. It can cause some mild stinging if applied to very dry or sore parts of your hands, but the directions on the label state that this is normal as long as the stinging is not excessive. I would highly recommend this product for those who are in a profession that requires frequent hand washing, or in my case, for Moms who are fighting the good fight against the spreading of germs! -

I was fortunate enough to be sent Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep gel-balm for free as a part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club! It arrived in beautiful packaging along with a companion product, Vichy Idealia Life Serum. The product is in a gorgeous pink and silver ombre jar that has a mirror on the lid so you can quickly apply the product wherever you are and be able to see what you're doing. I was so excited to try the Skin Sleep later that night. It had a beautiful light scent, I read on vichy.ca that it is made with jasmine and green tea. Although scented products do not usually agree with my very sensitive skin, this product has been tested on sensitive skin, is paraben-free, hypoallergenic and suitable for all skin types! That is an awesome feature for those of us with really sensitive skin. The next morning after using this I noticed that my eyes were not quite as puffy as they usually are when I wake up. I have hooded eyes, so I deal with puffiness all the way around my eyes instead of just underneath. This product definitely improved upon that, as well as making my skin feel tighter (in a good way, not that uncomfortable "I just used a face wash that's 90% alcohol" way).
One of my other favorite things about this product is how incredibly hydrating it is without being greasy, which is a quality that is rather hard to find in the skincare isle. All in all, I am very impressed with this product and certainly plan to repurchase when I run out. I got my mother to try this product as well and she planning on purchasing Vichy's Idealia Skin Sleep and the Idealia Life Serum on her next trip to the store. Huge thanks to Vichy and Chickadvisor for the amazing products and testing opportunity!

I was extremely excited to find out that I was going to receive Vichy Idealia Life Serum for free to test & review as a companion product for the new Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep gel-balm, which was also sent to me to test & review from ChickAdvisor free of charge! With a combined retail value of $111 CAD, this was an incredible product testing opportunity that I am so pumped to be a part of! Can we just take a second to address how adorable the pink gift box is that ChickAdvisor sent these products in! Such a nice touch!
Vichy claims that this product will provide a fresh complexion, even skin tone, refined pores and rested features. So, I began using the serum immediately upon its arrival, and have been using it twice a day for two weeks now. I was astonished when after only 4 days of using this product, I was already noticing a dramatic reduction in the size of the pores in my T-zone. It caught my eye because I have one very large pore on my cheek that must have had a very large blockage at some point and no matter what I do it will not close or get smaller. On day 4 of using this serum, that especially large pore had shrunk down to a normal size. My pores have begun to get larger with age and this is the only product I've ever used that has reduced their size, and in only 4 days!? I was beyond ecstatic! I have certainly noticed that my skin is much softer and more hydrated since using this serum, and my complexion is beginning to appear more even with less dark spots.
This product comes in a gorgeous pink and silver ombre bottle with a pump that makes it easy to control how much product comes out. I noticed that the product has a pink-pearly sheen when I pumped it onto the back of my hand, I read afterwards on vichy.ca that the serum is also a radiance primer which is enriched with golden and red pearls that leave your skin glowing. Not shiny, but radiant!
This product is scented, it has a light rose or floral fragrance which to be honest kind of threw me off at first because I have sensitive skin and fragrance tends to break me out. However, this product is intended for all skin types, even sensitive skin. It is also hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic and paraben-free which is very favorable in a skincare product.
Overall, I'm in love with this product. I have been recommending it to my family and brought it along with me when I went to visit my mother so she could try it out for herself (she loved it, by the way!).
I personally don't believe there is any affordable serums available that even come close to Vichy's, I am beyond sold on this product and I will be running to the store to repurchase it the second I run out! Thank you Vichy & ChickAdvisor for introducing me to my new must-have skincare product!

These false eyelashes are one of my all time favorites! They are made by House Of Lashes (you can order from their website houseoflashes.com) and they are in the style called Iconic. They come in an adorable pink package that looks like a dollhouse, and the tray that holds the lashes is very durable. These are synthetic and they are in a very full and fluffy criss cross pattern. One thing I dislike about them is that the lash band is extremely thick and inflexible, which makes them very hard to apply and keep in place. They're rather heavy and can be uncomfortable if worn for long periods of time. I definitely do not recommend them to anyone who is new with false lashes. I had them for months before I figured out how to apply them properly. I found that I didn't need to use any extra glue to compensate for the thickness of the band, I just had to wait longer than usual to allow the glue to become tacky enough. I would definitely recommend using a quality glue with these, such as Duo adhesive. Overall, once you get the hang of applying them, these lashes will be your new favorite I promise! -

I received a 237mL bottle of AcneFree Oil-Free Acne Cleanser for free from ChickAdvisor to review. It retails for around 8-10$ on Amazon. I began using this acne wash as soon as I received it, in place of my usual Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash, and I am sold on it! My previous acne wash was okay, but I found it so drying that I could not use it every single day. Products that lather leave my face feeling tight and dry, but this product does not do that. It is more of a cream cleanser, and doesn't get too bubbly. The lack of lathering definitely makes a difference to the amount of hydration that I am left with after cleansing. It states right on the front of the bottle that it is a Benzoyl Peroxide Lotion, so this product almost works as a cleanser and a moisturizer in one, although I still do use a moisturizer after it. Another huge plus for this product is the fact that it is fragrance free. There are no perfume ingredients in this product, which is an absolute must for most of us with sensitive skin. Perfumes tend to break out sensitive skin, which would obviously not be a favorable factor in a cleanser designed to fight acne. As for this product treating breakouts, I definitely noticed a decline in my larger breakouts. However, I did not notice much of a difference with white & black heads, but the product label doesn't claim to treat those. It also definitely holds true to its claim of being oil free, I do not feel oily after using it, nor do I feel too dried out. Overall, I am a fan of this product and I will continue to use it and purchase it myself in the future. -

This is the most unique nail polish that I have ever seen/owned! It is more of a top coat than a nail polish, the base is just a clear polish. However, it is full of many different sized "glitter" pieces in opaque black and teal. All of the glitter pieces are hexagon shaped and are sized differently, there are huge pieces, tiny pieces, and every size in between. It is best to apply this product in a tapping motion in order to place the glitter/confetti contents on your nail instead of just pushing them around. A few layers are needed and you definitely need a thick, clear top coat or two. Looks great on its own or over colored polish. Beware: DO NOT cook or clean without gloves while wearing this. It DOES chip if not properly sealed. -

I purchased this product online, so it was really a shot in the dark. I liked the fact that it was super affordable and that it says "flawless finish". The coverage for this foundation is medium to full, and it does its job. It does have SPF 15 in it, so it has a floral scent that is a little overwhelming, but good for the skin. It has more of a dewy finish than I would prefer, but its fine if set with powder. It will need to be touched up throughout the day, and I find it has an orange undertone which I don't like, but its not too bad. The packaging is gorgeous and the product pump works well and is controllable. Overall, for the price, I'd say this is a decent product. -

Firstly, let's start with the "directions". It states on the bottle: Shake well, dispense to fingertip, apply to face. That's not very informative besides it saying to apply with fingers. I tried to apply this with my finger, and it does not blend out at all. You can clearly see where you initially dotted the foundation onto your face, it dries on almost instantly and looks streaky like fake tanner. Next I tried a foundation brush, a flat top kabuki, and again it streaked. Finally I tried using a Beauty Blender sponge and this applied it best, although it was still not a pleasant application. This is nowhere near a full coverage foundation, so forget this one if you like coverage. It has a very orange undertone, but it does dry matte. I find the formula much too watery, and it smells like interior wall paint...yuck! The applicator is very odd as well, just a wand with a teardrop shaped piece of plastic at the end which the product drips from onto your finger. I will not be repurchasing, nor do I recommend this product. Maybelline has many great foundations, this is definite a miss for them. -

I've had this lipstick for a while, and its definitely stood the test of time. I purchased this because I had no red lipsticks at the time and this one was on sale and had the shade of red I was looking for, I got the shade 10 Rossetto. It's a versatile lipstick, it looks great worn on its own, with gloss, and with a light brushing of translucent powder through a tissue to make it matte. What I like best about it is that even when you apply powder and create a matte lip it remains soft and moisturized, as opposed to most matte lipsticks that dry out the lips. It stays on for an expected amount of time, nothing extraordinary, but still good. Given I don't wear lipstick all that often, I think its a great product and price for my needs. -

e.l.f. Matte Lip Color is a good find for the price. I bought this from e.l.f.'s website for $3, so price wise you really can't get much better than that. It is a dryer lipstick than a non-matte lipstick, but that is to be expected. In my experience, this product goes on best on freshly exfoliated and moisturized lips. If you have any dry or cracked areas on your lip, this product just builds up in the creases and makes the imperfections even more obvious, rather than covering it up. I would also recommend that if you're going to wear this when you're out for an extended period of time, do yourself a favor and bring it along with you. You're definitely going to need to touch up this lipstick, as it keeps getting drier and crack while you're wearing it, and that doesn't look so hot. So overall, for the price its great, just make sure you're well moisturized and have it nearby! -
