This bath tea was really nice because it basically does all of that for you in one little satchel. It’s got epsom salts for sore muscles, oats to help soothe the skin, rose petals and lavender, which is known for helping with relaxation and calming your mind. In essence, it sets the tone for a proper wind-down session.
It smelled amazing and definitely helped make the whole bath feel more intentional vs me just sitting in hot water. My only qualm: I don’t think my satchel was sealed properly because I did notice some of the lavender floating around by the end, so it wasn’t completely mess-free. It’s not a dealbreaker, but worth mentioning.
Overall, I really liked the convenience of having everything in one convenient little satchel. It saves you from buying a bunch of separate things and honestly would be such a cute addition to a self-care gift basket- and theyre Canadian to boot.

Let’s start with the positives: it’s under $4 a box, which makes it a super economical grab-and-go option if you forgot your lunch at home. It’s also ridiculously easy to make. You can add ½ cup boiling water and let it sit, or (what I did) add water, microwave for 1.5 minutes, then let it stand for about 5–7 minutes until fully cooked. Zero effort. It’s also vegan and gluten-free, which makes it a solid option for a variety of dietary needs. And portion-wise, while I found it small for an adult meal, it would actually be a great size for a kid’s school lunch.
Now for the honest bit: the flavour was good… but I wish it was bolder. More pineapple. More garlic. More onion. Just more oomph overall. If they elevated the flavour profile by about 50%, it would be a repeat purchase for me.

This was my 2nd Hatch delivery and I loved it just as much as the first. I like that you can enjoy it cold over ice or transfer it to a heat-proof vessel to serve warm. Taste-wise, I loved how sweet and bolt it was without being overly decadent - delicious! My only complaint is that at 100mL, the can is a bit small for someone who prefers a bit more of a substantial drink, but at $4 for such a rich drink, the price is definitely right.

I’ve tried their “regular” body lotion before and loved it, but this Ultra-Rich version takes things up a notch. It’s noticeably thicker without feeling heavy, and it glides onto the skin just as effortlessly as the original. No tugging, no greasiness — just instant comfort.
The scent leans more floral than their classic formulas, but it’s soft and subtle. Once it absorbs, it barely lingers, which makes it perfect for nighttime use. This is very much a "last thing before bed" kind of product — the one that lives on your bedside table, waiting to give your hands a final dose of moisture before you drift off.

I was pleasantly surprised at this! Instead of that overly sweet, artificial taste a lot of hydration mixes have, these were lightly salty and refreshing — very Powerade-adjacent, which we all know is key post drunken stupor). My standout flavour was pomegranate cherry (a combo I will now actively seek out during grocery runs), and overall I found these way easier to drink than most electrolyte sticks I’ve tried. Bonus points for being Canadian-made and easy to grab at Walmart near the pharmacy section.

This Motomaster adjustable 2-in-1 work table put that theory to the test. I’ll be honest — the build phase was… humbling. The instructions are only a couple of pages long, and while I’m sure some people flew through it, I definitely had a few hiccups along the way. A bit more detail and larger diagrams would have been helpful.
Once assembled though? Completely different story. This thing feels solid. The legs are extremely sturdy, the wheels roll smoothly, and the adjustable height makes it genuinely practical. The standout feature for me is the removable top tray — it pops out, has its own wheels, and lets you slide right under a car without hauling the whole table with you There are also magnetic sections built in, which is such a smart touch for keeping small nuts and bolts from disappearing into the void.
At around $170, it’s definitely an investment, but the build quality backs it up. If you’ve got a gearhead, DIY-er, or weekend mechanic in your life, this would make a really solid gift idea

Once upon a time, I had such a bad experience with jarred butter chicken sauce that I swore it off entirely and committed to making it from scratch 😅
So when I was given the chance to try KFI’s butter chicken sauce, I’ll admit I was skeptical. Very skeptical.... But I’m genuinely happy to report that this one surprised me in the best way. I did season my chicken with the usual suspects (garam masala, cumin, ginger, etc.), but the sauce really carried the dish from there. As it simmered, I gave it a couple of taste tests — a splash of cream here, a pinch of cayenne there — and it thickened up beautifully Served up with some naan and rice, this dish was ready to be devoured.
The final verdict? Not a single plate survived without being wiped clean using naan, which is always the true measure of success. I’m especially glad I received two jars, because this is absolutely something I’d use again! Full transparency: I still love making butter chicken from scratch when I have the time. But for busy nights, this is a solid pantry shortcut that doesn’t taste like one. Bonus points for being made in Canada!

I picked up Plantropy’s Jackfruit Dumplings because at 7.99, the price is actually great for a plant-based meal. One of the biggest barriers to going veg is cost, and this totally solves that. Plus, it’s frozen, so it’s perfect for those “oops, I forgot to defrost dinner again” nights.
But here’s where it lost me: the flavour just wasn’t there. It needed more seasoning, more spice, more… something. I’ve tried Plantropy’s kebabs before and those are genuinely great, so I had high hopes. The dumplings just didn’t hit the same. And portion-wise? Definitely not enough for 2 (even with a side) which makes the price per person a smidge higher. So unfortunately, this one wasn’t a win for me. Loved the price. Loved the convenience. But the taste and portion size just didn’t deliver. 🤷♀️
