I have often switched to more eco-friendly products in order to minimize my household footprint. Up until recently, when it comes to laundry, that meant purchasing the biggest costco-sized container I can find in order to purchase less packages. However, these laundry strips have truly changed the game. I tore half a sheet into each of my laundry loads and they were just as effective as my go-to brand. And I absolutely love how easy-to-store these are vs a big jug of detergent.
I've done the math using jugs that advertise each jug equals 225 washes (newsflash: thats a lie) and these end up being about the same price-wise but MUCH easier to measure because the strips are pre-cut. Plus, not having to figure out where to put a giant jug of laundry detergent in my brand new laundry room sounds great to me!

It's biggest downfall is how loud it is... Even with the fan on its lowest setting, I was able to clearly hear it from a couple of rooms away. But if you're a fan of white noise, this will definitely lull you to sleep!

Listen, my dog Mia is really not picky when it comes to treats. I mean, she thinks icecubes and lettuce stems are treats, which I’m not mad at! But I DO know that some treats upset her tummy which means my husband and I have to deal with the “mess” afterwards and that is no bueno. 👎🏻
I can confirm that after a few days of occasional Kanine Kookie treats, Mia had zero incidents. That probably has to do with the VERY short list of ingredients, which includes oats, salmon and a wee bit of maple syrup. Thanks to the salmon, is a significant source of omega-3, a nutrient that promotes healthy skin and reduces inflammation (great for dogs with joint pain).
And, barring all of that, they are a Canadian company out of Belmont, Ontario so that should be enough to give them a try!

I was pleasantly surprised at how good these tasted! Although the ingredient list does not specify which kind of herbs are used, it tasted like some delicious Middle Eastern fare - a little bit spicy and a whole lot of flavour. You can cook them in a variety of different ways (airfryer, pan-fried, etc) but we opted for BBQing them. Quick tip: let them defrost before cooking, as it reduces their cook time significantly and retains all its juiciness.
These would make a great option for our vegan friends during BBQs this summer - and for only $15, they won't break the bank.

Of all the 3 sample products I was given to test, OGX's repair serum was probably the one I resonated the least with. I gave it a shot and tried it out 2-3 times after a shower and ran it through my wet/damp hair a few times with my fingertips. While it smells just as good as the rest of the line, I didn't see any dramatic differences with my hair. Perhaps after a couple of months, I could see a difference, but it was too short a sample window span to see noticeable differences. -

Out of my 3 OGX samples, I'd have to say that my favourite was definitely the conditioner. It smells fantastic, glides on really well, and I found it left my hair feeling super soft and silky smooth after it fully dried!

Supporting Canadian-made products is more important now more than ever. My go-to coffee brand is certainly not Canadian so I was thrilled to be given an opportunity to try out some Saltwinds coffee!
It smelled wonderful as soon as I opened the bag and when I poured myself a hot cup, I was overcome with a lovely, smooth coffee that was not overly bitter. This medium roast coffee was aromatic, airy, yet still strong enough for a self-proclaimed coffee addict.
I will happily recommend this company and blend for anyone who is looking to switch up their coffee for a locally-owned company who delivers on their promise of a rich, smooth cup of java.

Rotisserie chicken is an absolute staple when it comes to Portuguese cuisine. While I could never duplicate their exact recipe, I can definitely (try!) and cook up a great chicken roast on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
I used Brander's Ribbit Rib & Roast Rack atop of your average roasting rack so I can catch all of the drippings to later make a tasty gravy. It can be used like a basket to hold things like whole chickens or pork loin and if you flip it, you can place racks of ribs for easier cooking in your smoker.
I made some super tasty oven-roasted potatoes and a salad (Greek, can you sense a theme here?) alongside the chicken. The dinner was delicious (because I made it, duh) and the rack made all the difference. It was just as easy to clean as it was to use - I didn't have to scrub much at all and it was squeaky clean!
I can't wait to use this rack again, hopefully on the BBQ once the weather warms up for good....Because I don't know about you, but this unseasonably warm weather feels like a trap!

I picked up a bottle of this cleaner from Barbecues Galore a couple of weeks ago and since it is way too cold to clean my BBQ from top to bottom, I explored its other uses! It can actually be used on a variety of different surfaces including stainless steel, ceramic tiles and even porcelain.
I sprayed it on my airfryer's basket, drip tray and rack and let it sit for a few minutes before cleaning it all off with a sponge. It smells alot better than I thought it was going to (no super chemically smell) and all the bits of food residue washed off really easily.
For $14.99 a bottle (currently $7.49!!!), its a steal - go get it while it's hot!
