As a MAC addict, I was kind of nervous about trying different foundations since I'm always worried they might not match my skin colour. After reading about it, I decided on getting this affordable foundation (well, cheaper than MAC for sure). I am pleasantly surprised as how well it blends with my skin tone. Its medium sheer, so its great for the day time or right after workout. I am definitely a huge fan for this line because of its quality and its great price! I would recommend getting it at Walmart than a drugstore as its usually cheaper -

When I went to AE's new lingerie store, I was blown away by the different kinds of undergarments they carried! Most of the garments are cotton, so it seems like they're looking for comfort. I really liked their panties, especially the ones that they had on sale for $3. It came in different colours, patterns and sizes which is always a plus. I got at least 15 different pairs! I've been using it for more than 2 months and they're definitely not flimsy. They also carry boyshorts, pajamas, perfumes, etc. The best of all is how they do the packaging. They package the products tissued-wrapped in a very cute bag with a choice of a nice ribbon to finish it off. I'm going back again! -

Are you looking for quality eyeshadows at a reasonable price? Then L'Oreal HIP Duo it is! I've never imagined I would find drugstores eyeshadows as vibrant as highend products like MAC, Too Faces, Urban Decay, etc. What I like about the duo is how the colours compliment each other - its really like getting a two for one deal. You can use one shadow or spice it up using two shadows. Its all about your preference. I highly recommend this product for those who are looking to enhance their make up artistry, but doesn't want to spend a fortune on high end products. I appreciate this line because it really gives great quality for such an amazing price. I bought three of them thus far and I'm getting more pretty soon! -

For my friend's birthday, I was invited to dinner at the Drake Hotel. When I arrived, the hostess was took our jackets and seated us in one of the booth areas. Although it was busy, the waiter took our orders quickly and efficiently (bonus: he was good looking!). The menu was pricier than I expected, so I opted out to the salad which was amazing. I really liked the ambiance - it had an artsy feel to it. We went to the concert venue which was just downstairs. Even though it was small, it was definitely cosy and warm. All in all, I had a fantastic time at the Drake. The only problem I had was the location - it was not central, so it was harder for me to find it in the shady area on Queen Street West. -

I, like many others, have major dandruff problem. It was definitely out of control. Even after washing my hair, I would always have dandruff collecting like some ant colony in my hair! It got so serious that I was losing extensive amounts of hair every day. Eventually, I had to go to my dermatologist for clinical treatments. He prescribed me couple of different medications which frankly didn't work in the long run. I used home-made concoctions, bought high end products and even used Nizarol which didn't work on my hair. Three months ago, I purchased Neutrogena T-gel Shampoo, a dandruff treatment, upon my friend's request. I got the original dandruff shampoo bottle for $12.99 at shoppers drug mart. The smell was "chemically" and you can definitely feel a tardy texture once you wash the shampoo out. Within three weeks, I was able to see a change in my hair. There were less dandruff which ultimately made my hair look and feel healthier. After two months, 99% of my dandruff issues are gone. I love the new feel; its good for the hair and for my self esteem. Initially, I used the shampoo couple of times a week. Now that I see a significant change, I only use it once a week. Its such a fantastic product that my parents are now interested in buying it! My hair is growing well and I can definitely thank the shampoo for it. I never thought I could maintain my dandruff dilemas! I highly recommend it for those who are in the same position as me. It works wonders for me and I hope it works for you too! -

My initial thought of the mascara was pretty negative - probably because of the simple packaging and how unattractive it looked. I hated the tacky colours - who uses green and pink together? You know when they say "don't judge a book by its cover"? This mascara is exactly that. Unlike your 'average' mascara, the wand of Great Lash is smaller and the bristles are shorter in comparison. I was always a big fan on huge wands because of its great volume effect, but I was completely blown by how much volume I got using the small brush! Its really easy to use and is a great size for any traveler's bag. I grew to love its simplicity and its classic feel. From what I hear, the mascara became so popular that Maybelline still maintains the same packaging which I really appreciated. From all thats said and done, I always look at how much its worth in comparison to the price. For the quality which can be equated to something from a high-end product, its definitely worth buying for the retail price of $4.99 at shoppers. Sometimes, they even have half off sales! It has to be the cheapest, most effective mascara out there in the drugstores. I would highly recommend it to anyone who's on a budget and wants to have fabulous long lashes! -

I really liked PHisoderm body wash. It couldn't have came at a better time. Since May, I had been using the new Dove body wash. If you remember, I reviewed it and loved everything about it. pHisoderm Body Wash had some great qualities which most body washes lack. Firstly, its a vicious substance and is more liquid than your average body wash. This is because of the essential oils that are in the product: Aloe and Chamomile. It also has Vitamin E which is very nutritious for the skin. Unlike most body wash, it does not lather up as much as I would like. However, using a loofah works wonders. It really keeps the skin hydrated and less scaly (I have dry legs!). Similarly to the facial cleanser, the packaging is basic and simple. Personally, I found this body wash better than the cleanser due to its unique characteristics. Retail price is $7.99 and can be found at drugstores such as Shoppers Drug Mart. I would buy this product again and recommend it to friends and family. -

Recently, I received pHisoderm Dry to Normal Skin Cleanser and pHisoderm Body Wash. Like most people, I was not familiar with pHisoderm until I got the products. Its a Canadian company that offers both facial and body cleanser. The skin cleanser was cream-like substance that felt like putting on lotion. It did not lather up which was fine with me because I have always been a fan of Cetaphil. Unlike Cetaphil, it did not remove make up which was a downer for my part. However, it did leave the face moisturized and refreshed. The bottle has basic packing and is quite large, so it would last for a very long time. The smell has a subtle distinctive chemical smell that may offset others, but I was not bothered by it. I recommend using this product at night because of its moisturizing component, but you'll need to use wipes to remove your make up beforehand. After two weeks of use, there were some small pimples on my face, but that may be due to other factors. The retail price for this product is $12.99 and can be found in drugstores such as Shoppers Drug Mart. Although I am still a fan of Cetaphil, pHisoderm is relatively cheaper and does a decent job. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an affordable mild and sensitive cleanser. -

Like most people, my face needs constant care. Its not perfect; its combination of dry and oil patches of skin. I used to buy the regular St. Ives apricot facial scrub, but it was too harsh for my skin. I found out about their sensitive skin one which I found it be more comfortable and easy on my face. The beads were not as hard as the regular skin, so it did not make my face dry at all. I love to use it during shower and before I go to sleep. It definitely leaves a clean and moisturized feel after washing it with water. I really enjoy it, especially at the price they sell. This is not only a great exfoliator, but a great cleanser. This is something I would highly recommend it to my friends and family! -

Couple of months ago, I purchased the Smashbox Soft Lights in Shimmer. I actually like this blush even though it may be too light for most people. According to Sephora, it gives a luminous pink pearl. In other words, its shimmery hence the name. This is a great blush for those who are looking for the subtle hint of pink on their cheeks. Unlike matte, shimmer tends to look unnatural if you have too much on. In the sun, my cheeks give me the subtle glow that I like. When I'm out at night, I use it as a highlight on my cheek. I usually have a darker pink matte blush before I use the Smashbox Soft Lights in Shimmer.
Overall, its a great product. I use it almost everyday during the summer. Because it already gives me a shimmer to my face, I tend to use sheer lipgloss or a light matte lipstick to finish the look. Retail price: $32
