Thanks ChickAdvisor for the free sample of the Dove Original Beauty Cream Bar. I've been using it in the shower and find it to be much better than other bars of soap. I'm still a fan of body wash, but for a bar of soap I think this one is pretty much the best on the market. It leaves your skin with more moisture than the vast majority of other bars. It has a nice light scent, therefore both men and women can use this item. I'd definitely buy this product again. -

A friend recommended this mascara because she's been using it for years. It's a good price and a solid average mascara. It's much thicker than other mascara's I've used and really builds volume to your lashes. It washes off very easily and doesn't leave much residue around your eye (big plus).
On the flip side, I find it can leave your lashes looking clumpy if you're not careful. Once it's applied (and dried) it makes it very hard to apply more coats without large clumps. For the price, it's a good value but not a product that I'd see myself buying consistently.

I'd never seen this Blistex product until recently at the grocery store. Two things caught my attention - the price (it was only $1.49) and the scent (raspberry lemonade). I'm more than impressed with this product. It's a nice light lip balm and the scent is amazing. It's very fruity and others can slightly smell it (as I've been told). It hydrates my lips well and comes with SPF 15. All and all, for $1.49 you can't go wrong. Highly recommended! -

This is the first eye cream I’ve ever used. I never fully understood the need for eye cream at a younger age, but this one in particular really changed my perception. It’s very smooth and you only need a small amount. Since using it daily my eyes are noticeably soft and smooth – appearing and to the touch. The cream is fragrance-free, but there is a still a slight (pleasant) scent. I can see myself continuing to buy this particular product because it’s been great so far. -

I’ve been using this eye make-up remover for over 10 years and absolutely love it. I’ve tried other brands, but always come back to Clinque’s Rinse-Off Eye Solvent. It’s so light it’s almost like putting water on your eyes. It never leaves my eyes red or sore after using. I find that a small amount goes a long way as well. You don’t need to rub very hard for your make-up to come right off. Even though it’s $18 per bottle it’s worth every penny. I’d highly recommend this product to any of my friends. -

I also received this product from Fashion Magazine during their fall giveaway. I’ve never used a cream this expensive ($170) so was very excited to see the outcome. I found it to be very oily on my skin and ended up only using it in the evening. The product does seem to tighten your skin, but very lightly. I liked the packaging, but the container is rather small compared to similar creams on the market. The cream has a very smooth texture and a small amount goes a long way. Similar to other reviews of this product it lacks SPF, which should be a given for a product in this price range. I don’t think it made that big of an impact on my skin to justify spending that much money. Overall, fun to try but not something I’d buy going forward. -

It leaves your skin feeling clean and fresh all day long. Dove has always excelled when it comes to moisturizing your skin and this new product does exactly that. I can’t go a day without using it and will definitely continue to buy it in the future. -

Thanks ChickAdvisor for the free item! I’ve used the colour aid a few times and thought it was okay. The yellow colour really blends well and leaves a light feeling on my eyelid. It almost had a chalky texture after rubbing it on to my eyelids, which I consider to be a good thing. The physical compact is well made and I like the mini mirror at the top.
Although, I don’t know if it made a big difference to my overall appearance. My eye shadow did last longer, but I don’t see myself using it on a daily basis because it didn’t make that big of an impact. If you put a little big of foundation on your eyelids it has the same effect if you’re looking to create an even colour tone to your skin. Overall, it’s a nice to have but not something I see myself buying going forward.

Thanks to the Product Review Club for sending me this new product! I was excited to test out the collagen lip filler because I have rather thin lips. Using the tip was strange and I'm still not sure why they couldn't combine the creams into one lip gloss type tube. The product was smooth on my lips, but there was too much of a built up to apply lipstick or lip gloss on top.
I noticed a very small amount of boost in my lips, but my fiance said he couldn't tell a single thing (along with a female friend as well). The product was $25, which I think is so much money....especially since it didn't work for me! Overall, I wouldn't buy or recommend this product to friends.

I went to The Brow House for the first time this past weekend for the “brow fix” treatment. I’ve seen them in neighborhood, but the reviews on other websites were rather mixed. If you’re in need for an overhaul on your eyebrows this your place. They specialize in helping you bring back your original shape and giving you a natural appearance – instead of obvious signs of waxing.
The first treatment it was rather basic – the young lady tweezed my eyebrows and didn’t use any wax. I never thought my eyebrows were too thin, but the lady said I should concentrate on growing back specific sections for a fuller appearance. She recommended that I don’t tweeze between appointments so we could focus on getting the right shape first.
I bought their “repair” package, which includes 3 treatments for $65 plus tax. The price is definitely higher than I’m used to paying, but I’ll see by the end of the time if it’s really worth it. The basic eyebrow treatment is $20, which is yet again a little high but perhaps worth the extra couple of dollars.
The studio is really trendy, yet tiny. They have 3 or 4 old fashion looking red barber chairs in the main room. It was very clean, staff were friendly and non pretentious. I got the impression they were focused on natural beauty instead of high-end spa-like procedures.
