A friend of mine that I was visiting while I was travelling had Schwarzkopf Bonacure Sun Guardian Shampoo in her bathtub so I decided to give it a try. This shampoo is for daily cleansing of sun-stressed hair. This product has aloe vera extract that is supposed re balance moisture levels and leaves your hair and scalp feeling soothed. I found that this product tamed all frizziness in my hair when it dried naturally (without a blow-dryer). My hair looked voluminous and healthy and all traces of dried ends were not really visible. The downside is that my hair felt somewhat ‘waxy’ in texture afterward. The upside is that my hair itself looked fabulous but I was not really impressed with the ‘feel’ of my hair. The shampoo did what it claimed however. My hair looked a lot better and it did sooth the scalp after spending a day in the sun!

Recently in Toronto there was a cold snap and the air was dry leaving my skin very dry. I needed to pick up a new lotion so I had read reviews on ChickAdvisor to see what people were saying about products there. I stumbled upon the review for Vaseline’s Cocoa Butter line of lotions. I decided that since my skin was so dry that I would try out the Cocoa Butter Smoothing Body Butter. This is a blend of cocoa and shea butters that smells divine.
Although I know it is good for your skin, I normally shy away from cocoa butter products because I can find the smell to be overpowering. This was completely not the case with this product. Vaseline’s Cocoa Butter Smoothing Body butter gives off a light and pleasant fragrance but not that stereotypical strong cocoa butter smell.
This body butter is smooth and the thickness really moisturizes your skin. It does not feel heavy or greasy and shortly after application it is absorbed and leaves your skin feeling silky and moisturized. A little of this product goes a long way so it is well worth the price. Try this product out, you will love it as much as I do!

Mr. Greenjeans was by far the WORST experience I have had at a restaurant in Toronto. I went here after watch the Obama Inauguration speech in Yonge/Dundas square. A friend of mine and myself wanted to go eat lunch, relax and listen to the rest of the days events.
We entered the restaurant and they almost immediately muted the tvs that were showing the broadcasts but then started to pump upbeat music. I asked if there was an area we could sit where we could listen while we eat. The others that were already dining were protesting that they too came in to eat and would like to listen to the broadcast that was now muted. The bartender (rude), told us that we could all go home to where our TVs were. We asked to speak to a manager and she came out and told us that they had the audio on for the speech but turned it off as most people wanted to hear music. It was then that others in the restaurant (the majority) started to protest and say that they wanted to hear the speech not music.
The bartender protested to a man sitting at the bar saying "i've had enough, I am not serving those people". A hostess then seated us and we were going to order but the bartender kept muttering complaints about us. At that point I had lost my appetite and decided that we would leave. I will NEVER return here again and will advise ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN to NEVER GO TO MR. GREENJEANS. That is, until they replace that bartender and start listening to their patrons.
Funnily enough, they did put back on the tv audio as we were leaving and when the manager lady went to talk to the bartender, he kept flailing his hands and talking about 'us people making him sick and how he can't stand Obama reports on tv etc' I have to say that I am SO highly offended by this place that it makes me SICK just thinking about it. I have reviewed it on almost every Toronto dining website possible and plan on still writing a letter of complaint to the manager....not that I would EVER eat there again but I have to let them know how offensive our experience was.

Dove Nutritive Solutions Daily Moisture 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner
I am not a big fan of this shampoo. I think it comes down to personal preference, I find it very strong smelling and in terms of results I find them to be average. I would never go out and buy this product but I would use it if I had to.

I bought this shampoo after a bad experience with Herbal Essences Color Me Happy Shampoo. I had good experiences with other Pantene products so I decided to try this one out since it was named Moisture Renewal and I have dry hair to begin with. This shampoo has been wonderful thus far and I will definitely buy this product again. My hair feel clean (no build up) and this product did not leave my hair feeling dry at all. If you are looking for a drug store shampoo that will not disappoint, try Pantene Moisture Renewal Shampoo. -

I had to write about this shampoo and conditioner as it was the worst hair washing experience I have ever had. In fairness to Hebal Essences Color Me Happy Shampoo and Conditioner, this product probably did not work for me because I was allergic to it in some way...which is weird because their products have never caused me problems in the past. Color me Happy Shampoo/Conditioner cause my scalp to turn red and itch like crazy. I promptly washed the product out and soaked my head with water for awhile. The weird thing is that within a day, my roots were oily as though I had worked out but the rest of my hair was dry and felt brittle. Needless to say I will not be using this product again. -

I had really hoped for more when Step Brothers came out. I thought Talledega Nights was absolutely hilarious and thought that this would perhaps be along those lines. I was sadly disappointed. I had a hard time with some of this movie because of how the parents talked to the step brothers like they were 10 when they were close to 40! Instead of finding it funny I found it a bit disturbing. If they had down played on the parents treating them like kids and just focused on them being immature it would have been a lot more funny in my books. Ah well. Hopefully the next comedy these two do together will be better. -

I received this product to test out and I have to say that I was pleasantly suprised at how much I like it! When I first saw the color in the tube I thought it was going to look ridiculously synthetic on or else it would be one of those glosses that look bright in the tube and goes on completely sheer. This product did neither of those things. This gloss was shiny and also gave my lips color that looked natural.

I won the Karmin Titanium Flat Iron in a contest I heard about on the ChickAdvisor blog! My hair is normally a frizzy mess...half way between straight and curly and just a mess. I was so eager to see the difference this flat iron could make so I flat ironed half of my head so you could see the difference! Check out the pic (warning, I am not wearing any makeup lol). In any case, this flat iron is amazing. The results acheived were in less than 2 mins of just runnig it through my hair. It made my hair soft and silky smooth. If you are in the market for a new flat iron I would definitely check this one out.
At first I thought the price was steep and I would never pay the 265USD that it retails for. However you can find it online now for approx $100CDN which I think is perfectly reasonable for a flat iron that will not fry your hair and leave it looking smooth and soft. Check this flat iron if you ever get the chance! You will NOT be disappointed.
