I was hopeful because I saw a lot of positive reviews, however this wasn’t a win. If I’m being honest, I’m not a huge fan of aerosol deodorants to begin with, but thought I would give it a try since I hadn’t purchased one in many years. This just reminded me why I don’t like them. It’s like inhaling scented powder. The moment I start to spray, I hold my breath to avoid breathing in the deodorant which is fully airborne, but inevitably it’s still in the air for some time when you are done spraying.
For the women’s antiperspirant, spraying it was a bit a of a challenge. I have arthritis, so if that’s an issue for you, this will be hard to press. It went on dry which was a positive as many aerosols go on wet, but I didn’t feel it held up to keeping me dry. I’m not a very active person being chronically ill, yet I still felt I was fairly sweaty after walking my child to school and back. Smell wise however, it worked well as a deodorant keeping me smelling fresh.

I was hopeful because I saw a lot of positive reviews, however this wasn’t a win. If I’m being honest, I’m not a huge fan of aerosol deodorants to begin with, but thought I would give it a try since I hadn’t purchased one in many years. This just reminded me why I don’t like them. It’s like inhaling scented powder. The moment I start to spray, I hold my breath to avoid breathing in the deodorant which is fully airborne, but inevitably it’s still in the air for some time when you are done spraying.
Sweat wise it was fine, however it didn’t hold up to the 72 hour claim as a deodorant. I showers anyway before 72 hours, however I didn’t feel I still smelled fresh after a day of general activity.

We just received Gabby’s Dollhouse Kitty Camera made by @spinmaster. This life-sized toy camera for kids looks just like the camera in the Gabby’s Dollhouse series, which makes it a cute addition to any Gabby’s Dollhouse Collection!
That being said, as a parent, I do feel this toy is geared toward younger kids. It’s novel for my 6 year old right now and she’s enjoying it, but I can see she will outgrow it very quickly. If you however have a younger child that isn’t ready for a real camera, this make believe camera would be great. She also dropped it a couple times on our hard wood, and it’s still living to see another day, so it is also durable.
It includes 3 pretend photos. Once the photos are loaded, take a quick look through the viewfinder, say cheese, and then push the button on top to make Kitty give you a wink, as the photo pops out on Kitty’s tongue!

This week I tried Hello’s naturally friendly deodorant! Goodbye stinky, hello naturally friendly deodorant. Featuring a natural fragrance for any and everybody in 100% recycled packaging.
Full disclosure, I’m a sweaty human being. So I don’t typically use deodorant, I use antiperspirant. Since this is a deodorant, I had to alter my expectations. Immediately I really liked the scent. It was very fresh and clean smelling. Upon trying it however, it doesn’t have the powdery finish my antiperspirant does. It went on very sticky (you can see from my photo how it mushed a bit when applied). So I didn’t put my clothes on right away. I did my morning care routine, moisturizer, hair and what not, and in that time the stickiness went away and I could put on my shirt (it really wasn’t very long). I went about my day as usual which involves housework, daily walks to my child’s school and running errands. I was pleasantly surprised with its effectiveness. Although yes I did sweat from physical excursion (deodorant not antiperspirant), I still smelled good after it all. So as a deodorant I would say it worked quite well. It would make a good alternative for low impact days. If you aren not a sweaty human being like myself, and are a regular deodorant user, I would definitely recommend this one.

I have been given the opportunity to try Colgate Total Whitening Toothpaste Gel Repair Reverse Refresh. I can’t speak to the whitening portion as I haven’t been able to use it for an extended period of time yet, however over all I would say it’s a great toothpaste choice. The flavour is a nice mint, not too strong, and the texture compared to other whitening toothpastes is light, not gritty and my teeth feel clean after use. I also like it has a flat topped lid for easy placement on the bathroom counter.
Repair, reverse, refresh with Colgate Total, the teeth whitening toothpaste that helps repair early enamel damage, helps reverse early gum damage, freshens breath and also protects sensitive teeth. Get 12 hour antibacterial protection with Colgate Total, a toothpaste that reduces bacteria on teeth, tongue, cheeks and gums and helps prevent plaque and gingivitis. Two formulas contained in two separate vials and housed in one bottle. One side oil & one side gel. I received these samples in little disposable pouches that you crack and mix together. I imagine the bottles are easier to blend the product together before use. I did find it quite oily and made my face initially quite shiny, so using this product at night worked best for me. It did make my face feel very soft and smooth and I can see using this as a winter serum to aid in the dry Canadian winter air.
There wasn’t a strong smell that stood out and nothing lingering on my hands. Anyone who has read my reviews before know strong scents are a deal breaker for me, so no issues there.
I wasn’t able to use it long enough to determine whether it helped in any visible signs of aging.

Do you have a Gabby’s Dollhouse fan in your home? I do. So you can imagine her excitement when a Gabby’s Dollhouse Cakey Kitchen set from spinmaster arrived. We were given the opportunity to play with this beautiful toy, and it’s already a fan favourite. To start I need to say this was a breeze to put together. Took a little longer because I had a helper.
Included with it are a variety of accessories & utensils. It stands at just over 3 feet tall, which I was a little worried about as we have limited space, however it’s much narrower than other play kitchen and takes up a lot less space than I anticipated. It includes 20 sounds and phrases that are activated by pushing a button or turning various knobs. Most importantly it has an off switch. She was quite happy to play without the sound though, so if sound isn’t your thing, just don’t put batteries in it and never show them the on switch in the back.

Personally I found the smell to be a little strong. I could smell my husband the moment he walked into the bedroom. I do have sensitivities to smells, so if you do too this isn’t for you or the people you sniff in your life.
