Mud wraps are great for detoxifying your body and stimulating the blood flow. It may even improve your acne, eczema, and body aches and pains. They are helpful in releasing some water weight and tightening your skin, but are not necessarily a solution for permanent weight loss.
Another bonus is that your skin will feel wonderful after the Dead Sea mud wrap is washed off and you are slathered in moisturizer.
What do you need to do a home mud wrap? You’ll need something to wrap yourself in. An old sheet is a good choice. You’re going to need to a place to sit or lay down for 15 to 30 minutes while the Dead Sea mud dries. You could lay in a dry tub, but how uncomfortable that would be.
After the Dead Sea mud dries and you’re satisfied with the amount of time you’ve dried, then you’ll want to unwrap the sheet, preferably in the shower before you turn on the water. You don’t want a bunch of dry mud all over your floor. Then, you shower. I found having a hand-held shower head it a good way to clean out the tub of the mud.
The mud sticks quite a bit, so you’ll need to put in some effort to get all of the mud off. Remember to keep it away from mucus membranes “down there”. While the Dead Sea mud is extremely fine, it could still be rough in tender places.
The really cool thing about Adovia Dead Sea Mud is that you can use it on your face as well. Simply slather it all over your face and let it dry. Wash it off when you’re ready. Not only will you face be well-exfoliated, but you’ll be helping to draw out oils and to dry up any acne.
I have tried numerous Adovia products and I have been impressed with every one. This company, based in Israel, is the real-deal when it comes to Dead Sea products. I highly recommend Adovia Dead Sea mud.

I am in the very early stages of changing my skin care regime, but the pictures on author Dana Ramos’ website, The Skin Regime, prove that it can do what it says is does. Dana has worked with dermatologist Dr. David Bank to create a skin regime that is affordable and effective for everyone’s skin. If you are tired of your dull, damaged, aging skin from years of not taking care of your skin, then The Skin Regime is for you.
Like many of us growing up in the days before actual SPF in our products, Dana had damaged skin, including melasma. She was tired of spending tons of money on products and procedures that didn’t work. She teaches about good skin care; from the bootcamp to maintenance. Then she moves on to makeup, dermatological procedures, care of all of your skin, and even perfume. This book is an imperative part of the process because you are making major changes in your skin care routine.
The second part of this review is the 1-4-All Peel. It is a layer-able skin peel that gets more powerful with each layer you put on to your face. The peel can transform your skin by minimizing fine lines, healing mild acne and fading brown spots that acne leaves behind, creating even skin tone and texture, fading skin discoloration (melasma and freckles), reducing large pores, reversing sun damage, and creating glowing, radiant skin. And one 2 oz bottle is enough for 40 peels! What that means is that one bottle is less expensive than one visit to a dermatologist.
The whole peel process from beginning to end takes about 20 minutes. I felt just a little bit of heat after applying one layer of the peel. After I washed it off, I have a little more heat and some mild redness that went away within the hour. My skin feels great! Without makeup, it looks healthy and actually glows. I don’t ever remember a time that my skin glowed.

I received Freeman Vita-K professional for deep facial lines, for crow’s feet, and for age spots. There were two smaller samples for dark under-eye circles. I was surprised that I received full-sized items.
The dark under-eye circle cream make my skin kind of tight. I never noticed any difference in my under-eye circles.
I have melasma. There is nothing that will make these spots on my face lighten unless it’s professionally done. Needless to say, the cream for age spots didn’t do a thing for me, except it made me break out with acne.
I have deep lines around my mouth and crow’s feet (smile lines :) ) around my eyes and neither product helped with those. It’s a good thing that I’m not ashamed of them because they prove that I smile a lot. ;)
I have to say that all of these products left me disappointed. I’m not sure how a company can make such large claims, but not deliver regardless of the cost of said product. I can’t recommend something that doesn’t work and these products don’t work.

The waterproof eyeliner that I usually get is backordered so I decided to try this inexpensive liquid eyeliner pencil from Jordana. How can you complain about a long-lasting eyeliner that costs less than $3?
I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks and it was time to sharpen it again. I pulled out my handy-dandy eyeliner sharpener and gave it a whirl. I ended up with a tipless eyeliner and a gummed up sharpener. What’s a girl to do?
My mind thought and through while I applied the brown eyeliner that I don’t really like to use. How can I make this fairly soft eyeliner harder? The refrigerator! I put the eyeliner in the fridge, after warning my husband that I was going to do so, so he didn’t think I had lost my mind. The next morning I took it out and used the sharpener on it, and voila! it worked.
This isn’t a problem, but next time I will probably buy the Jordana Easyliner For Eyes Retractable Pencil to save the whole sharpening thing. I do recommend this product.

I had the opportunity to try Studio Gear’s Hydrating CC Cream as a Brandbacker member.
So, what is a CC cream? CC stands for color correcting. When using a CC cream products are meant to address issues like redness or sallowness. Studio Gear’s Hydrating CC Cream is said to “deliver a fresh dose of color that adapts to your own skin tone creating the most natural looking coverage”. It has an SPF 20 in it as well.
I found that I got good coverage from the CC Cream and it was very light. It was definitely lighter than a traditional foundation and just as light as the BB creams that I’ve used before. BB creams are lighter than foundation but heavier than tinted moisturizers.

I personally appreciate having an SPF in my cosmetics because I have melasma, which causes brown to gray-brown patches on my face. Sun causes the spots to become darker and more noticeable. The CC cream did lighten the look of the spots, but not as much as the BB cream that I use regularly. I felt that the makeup didn’t last all day. It almost felt as if I hadn’t put any on while I did put on two applications to try to cover the spots (like I do with the BB cream). It comes in three colors: Linen, Natural, and Wheat.
For me, the biggest downfall of the Studio Gear’s Hydrating CC Cream was it’s $34. price tag for a 1.1 fl oz (33 ml) container. This is a huge difference from the $10.99 that I pay for my 1 fl oz (29.5 ml) of BB cream that I will continue to use. As an aside, I wasn’t happy with the coverage of the CC cream from the company that manufactures the BB cream I use.

I had the opportunity to try an 80 gummies bottle of Nature’s Bounty® Optimal Solutions® Hair, Skin & Nails Gummies. The directions recommend 1-2 gummies 1-2 times a day. I took two gummies two times a day for 20 days. I might even recommend that you take one gummy twice a day to even out the biotin intake.
Two gummies are 15 calories and contain 4g of carbohydrates and 2g of sugars. They have 15mg (25% DV) of Vitamin C as ascorbic acid, 15IU (50% DV) of Vitamin E as di-alpha tocopheryl acetate, and 2,500mcg (833% DV) of biotin as d-Biotin. They are gluten-free and free from artificial flavor, milk, lactose, soy, wheat, yeast, fish, and are sodium-free.
The gummies tasted really good. They were soft and chewy, but didn’t stick to my teeth. For me to be able to tell you if these work to strengthen my nails and improve my hair and skin, I would have to take Nature’s Bounty® Optimal Solutions® Hair, Skin & Nails Gummies for at least 3 months, so I honestly don’t have enough information to prove that. What I can tell you is that they tasted good and have a lot of biotin, which is the vitamin you need to take to strengthen your hair, skin, and nails.
