I am a skincare junkie and I am staring to realize that I am very picky when it comes to makeup, but I can be flexible when it comes to natural products though there are basic standards. I expect my foundations to help my skin look better than before I put them on, at minimum. Unfortunately, The Goodness Glows Tinted Moisturizer by Burt's Bees hit absolutely none of my boxes.
To be fair, I tried applying this with my fingers, a brush and a sponge, none gave good results. The product is a cream that comes out of the tube in a blob that is not smooth, and it applies horribly. It smears all over, leaves streaks, does not absorb and does not set. Somehow it looked both patchy and semi-sheer at the same time, some areas looked ok, some areas had any imperfections highlighted to the highest degree. I did my skincare and gave it time to settle before trying this the first time. The second I just washed my face, dried it and didn't apply anything before trying this, both times I had the same problems and I have dry skin, not oily.
There is also a scent to it. I don't know why you need your tinted moisturizer to be scented, as scent is an irritant, but it's not a strong smell. However, it's not really pleasant either, like bitter green tea.
All in all, this tinted moisturizer is a complete no from me.
I received this product as part of a testing program from another company, but my opinions are my own.

I must have tried at least 10 different facial sunscreens or skincare products with SPF in the last couple of years trying to find ones that worked for me and that I liked. Before trying L'Oréal Revitalift Triple Power LZR I only found one I was happy with, now I have another!
While called a day lotion, Triple Power LZR does have the look and consistency of a light sunscreen. It's smooth, but slightly thick. You do need to work it into your skin but it will absorb if you work at it a little and give it a bit of time (not long, a minute or 2). It has a bit of scent, but not like sunscreen, it smells a little like a light floral when you first apply it, but the smell does go away relatively quickly. I am happy it doesn't smell like traditional sunscreen. I found it did protect my skin enough for daily use. I wouldn't use it alone when spending a long time in the sun, but as an everyday product, if you apply enough of it, it's good.
As for the promised skincare benefits, I didn't see too many, but that's not to say it's a bad product. My skin is dry, and I found it to be moisturizing enough that I felt no need to reapply a moisturizing layer throughout the day. The sunscreen aspect didn't irritate my skin in any way, which can happen to me, and my skin did look nice and bright. I just didn't notice any firming or wrinkle-reduction changes while using it.
Overall, I am very happy with this product and I plan to get another when this one is empty.

I take many different medications, and they have a definite effect on my digestive system. I was very happy to be offered the chance to try Metamucil Unflavored Sugar-Free Powder, as I was hoping it would help me.
I had to take it slow, and timing was key for me given my medication intake. My goal was regularity. I started by taking Metamucil once every few days and worked my way up to once a day, and I find that this approach was helpful, and that the product has been helping me. It's not a radical difference, but it's been a steady improvement that I truly appreciate.
The Unflavored Sugar-Free Metamucil Powder isn't really unflavored. I find it has a bit of a bright, almost citrusy flavor that I like. However, I had a very hard time with the texture, which I found very hard to swallow. I added more water and I had to take small but steady drinks to get the entire glass down in one "shot". It felt like trying to down liquid jello with smushy shreddies. I didn't enjoy that at all.
So while this worked well for me, and I liked the very slight hint of flavor, I have a lot of trouble with the texture. I will finish the bottle but may look at what other options Metamucil offers after it's empty.

Huile Prodigieuse does last very long. But it's extremely light, and the scent is just so nice, a light sweet scent, yet not sugary. Because of my sensitivity I don't spray it on myself directly, but when in the mood I treat it like perfume and spray the air and walk under it. It settles lightly on my hair and lasts a long time, scenting my hair just enough and making me feel good all day. I really enjoy it!

I really like my Clinique Superprimer - Color Corrects Redness overall.
My redness isn't super bright, and it does help cover it under foundation. It's definitely a yellow product and it stays that way, it cannot be worn alone. It's a liquid but applies well, it doesn't absorb but lies over the skin and settles. It dries in place to a matte finish but I don't feel like my skin is dry or tight with it (and I have dry skin), I just need to ensure to have done my skincare beforehand.
It's not the cheapest though, and since I got it and I have seen regular concealers and other primers do a great job as well at a lower cost. I will happily use what I have left, but may not repurchase.

A delicate subject, but sometimes it's good to have something to help toilet paper do it's job and to feel cleaner and fresher. Cottonelle Flushable Cleansing Cloths are what my family buys and uses. A big box such as the photo, purchased on sale at Costco, is of great value and lasts just about a year. Unopened, each package does not dry out and stores just fine.
They are flushable, so do not expect them to be super strong as they are meant to be able to come apart easily and not clog drains. I didn't rate them as excellent as we find they can be finicky to get out of the package.

I started using Tatcha The Silk Canvas right before the Coronavirus hit Canada and restrictions came into effect. Having used it only a few times this is an initial review only, but my experiences were positive.
My mini Silk Canvas came as part of a set and I used it on the parts of my face where my pores were the most visible and also where I had the most texture. I followed the instructions and just used a very small amount, though larger than a grain of rice because I am not that dainty. It spread very well when warmed against the skin and set a nice layer under my foundation. I only tried a serum and a liquid foundation as that's what I have on hand right now, but I found that the primer made a noticeable difference in the areas it was used in. I haven't tried it over my entire face, I think that might be overkill and a waste of a rather expensive product. Using it strategically, the mini should last me a long time. I will decide after more use if I want to repurchase it.

I received a bottle of Nature's Bounty Calcium with Vitamin D3 free as part of a goody bag for a Women's Fair/Market. I thought it was an interesting item given the prevalence of Osteoporosis in women. I am somewhat ambivalent about them though.
I like gummy vitamins. I have to take a lot of prescription medication, so they are a bit of a treat for me. Calcium is something I have to be careful about because it can interfere with my medication so the timing has to be just right. Gummies mean that I don't have to carry water around to take them if the time falls during a meeting or on the go. But the taste of these are a combination of chalky and very sweet fruit-flavored yoghurt. Not really appealing. I honestly have most of the bottle left months in, because I "forget" to take them, and reach for my multivitamins instead later in the day. I won't purchase more when I either finish the bottle or they expire. The taste may be ok for others though, I thought the texture was nice.

I got a travel size Sephora Collection All Day Hydrator - Hydrate & Glow. I was excited to try it as I had heard that a number of products from the Sephora Collection skincare line were dupes-but-better of the elephant brand of skincare. I was not impressed with this cream.
I have dry skin, so I was looking for it to primarily moisturize, and it did not meet that goal. The cream is smooth, but omg does it look, feel and SMELL like sunscreen! Nowhere does it say that it's sunscreen but it smells like body sunscreen and applies like it too, hard to absorb, and with a white cast, leaving my skin feeling tight. If I glowed it was because the cream was still shiny on top of my skin. I tried to use it up, but I gave up after 3 uses. It just felt gross and my skin felt tighter and tighter each time. I've had to use body sunscreen on my face in a pinch in the past, honestly, that felt better than this cream.

This is an early review for Lala Retro. I received a mini size of the cream from Sephora a while back and I opened it recently. So far, it's the Drunk Elephant product I like the most.
I find the cream to be thick, and while it feels a little stiff scooping it out of the jar, it warms quickly in my hands and applies easily to my face. It absorbs very well and feels rich and very moisturizing. Compared to another of the DE moisturizers, this one works much better with my dry skin and leaves my skin feeling taken care of for hours, with no desire to apply any additional moisturizer. The focus of Lala's being oils, it makes sense.
But the cream is really not cheap, and there are other alternatives at lower costs, so I don't know if I will buy the full size.
