2011 Swimwear Trends: Striped Swimsuits

Strip down to stripes and hit la plage. From sailor to rugby to '70s-style brights there's a stripe for every kind of gal. Select the right size and direction and stripes can create width where you want it and create a more flattering shape (chevrons are great for disguising a tummy). Here's are some of our favourites:

From left: Quiksilver Kiss & Tell Bikini (US$88.00); Zara Wide Stripe Bikini Top (C$25.90) and Bottom (C$25.90); Old Navy Striped Swimsuit (C$24.50 sale)

From left: Nike Reversible Halter Bikini Top (C$40.00) and Bottom (C$40.00); J. Crew Marina-Stripe Ring Bandeau Top (US$56.00) and Bottom (US$48.00); Anthropologie Lane Lines Maillot (US$168.00)

From left: J. Crew Cutter-Stripe Underwire Top (US$56.00) and Bottom (US$48.00); Anthropologie Beach Comber Bikini Top (US$39.95 sale) and Bottom (US$39.95 sale); Tommy Hilfiger Rugby Striped Bandeau Top (US$39.00) and Bottom (US$39.00)

From left: Jets by Jessika Allen Coastline Striped Bikini Top (US$125.00) and Bottom (US$90.00); Victoria's Secret Hot Tuna Striped Bandage Halter Top (US$66.00) and Bottom (US$64.00); Old Navy Americana Bandeau Bikini Top (C$22.50) and Bottom (C$22.50)

Are you in to lines and stripes?

I love all these articles about swimsuits. It's really giving me a good idea of what swimsuit I should get for this summer!

Thanks for posting.
