ChickAdvisor Editor's Choice Buying Guide: Top Ten Drugstore Cleansers

Posted by Alexandra C. | Thursday April 3, 201420 comments

If just one more of my friends confesses to me that they don't wash their face before going to bed, I will seriously throw a fit. For me, skipping a cleansing routine means breakout city come morning, so I make sure to cleanse every single night before hitting the hay. A build up of oil, dirt, makeup and everything else the elements throw at you is never a good thing. Which is why today I am counting down ten of my all time fave cleansers. Bonus - they're all from the drugstore which means they're very reasonably priced!

Be sure to let me know if you give any of my choices two thumbs up. If you think I should test out something different, leave a comment!

I enjoy bioré. I used to use the blackhead cleanser, and it was so nice. I've been using the body shop tea tree oil wipes lately. It is amazing! I highly recommend it.

I really like the Neutrogena ultra gentle, though I'm currently using Cetaphil.

Addicted to Neutrogena Fresh Foaming cleanser - makeup remover and foaming cleanser in one quick shot. Perfect for my travel bag as well.

Agreed... Alex and @rachified are so right about making that effort to clean your face before bed. It gives your skin breathing time and rest. Maybe you won't see the results immediately, but as you age you will seriously pat yourself on the back for that good habit!

I just tried the new Garnier cleanser for combo skin, but other than that I haven't tried any of these.

The Clean & Clear line is amazing. I used to use it on my back when I had back-ne and it would always clear up.

They came out with a new "Night Time" Line and I'm going to try the facial cleanser and see if it's any good - I expect it will be.

I recently discovered cleansing oils and I can't express the wonders it has done for my skin. I love how it removes all of my make up and leaves my skin feeling moisturized. Since using it, my skin has cleared up an immense amount!

But yes, ladies - no matter how tired you are, WASH YOUR FACE. It's the most simple thing to do to maintain healthy, hydrated skin and will make you feel that much more "fresh" when you wake up in the morning (especially after a couple glasses of wine).
