We Love Fridays: Celebrating Movember

Posted by Alexandra C. | Friday November 4, 20118 comments

With Halloween coming to an end, it may seem like all we have left is the cold month of November until the Christmas season hits. That isn't the case anymore! Movember is the new November- the month of growing out our 'staches to raise funds and awareness for mens' health.

Not only is this a great cause but it's a ton of fun too! Think of how cool you'd look with a Tom Selleck-esque moustache hanging off your upper lip, or think of deviously twirling your 'stache ends while plotting the end of days like an old timey villain

While a big hairy moustache isn't everyone's cup of tea and men- your lady friends may not be so on-board with your Movember facial hair but there are other ways to join in this month! I, for one, am not growing out an unsightly upper lip hair, I will be celebrating in other ways.

I saw the above images floating around the internet and I knew I just had to try these out!

So guys- your girlfriend thinks moustaches are not-so-hot, what to do? A moustache mask is one way to semi permanently get the look. This moustache on a stick doubles as an adorable cake topper too!

Perfect for a Movember themed party or just for fun! I want to always have one of these... with every single beverage. This is my very own attempt at a moustache adorned cup!

(Clockwise from left) Support your moustache love with some cute merch too- t-shirts are cute all year round!

These TOMS are made especially for Movember and feature a little hairy friend on the side! (C$58.00)

A talking moustache keychain (C$5.00)? Why not! Everyone needs one!

(Clockwise from left top corner) A moustache necklace or button is a fashionable way to show your support and while wearing your stylish 'stache, why not read up on the manliest of endeavours?

'I Heart Moustache' Button Badge (US$2.46)
Mr.Moustache Necklace (US$19.86)
The Moustache Grower's Guide (C$10.87)

Will you be celebrating Movember? How do you feel about a 'stache on your man?

Love supporting all my friends with Movember, especially since most barely ever grow facial hair. The straws and toppers are so cute and a great idea for a Movember party!

Mike has officially taken the Movember plunge - he's doing a handlebar mustache... I'm not really a fan.
I do however LOVE these cute little accessory staches!

5 o'clock shadow is def' hot... sorry, i didn't even think of that when i thought of 'staches! I kept thinking of actual full grown mustaches lol. Totally agree about the 5 o'clock shadow 'stache, or morning shadow...any shadow is hot. Looks rugged, or as I like to tell my hubby, gives him the illusion of manliness teehehehehe (i'm evil, I know) ;-)

'Staches are hawt ... when used in moderation! I personally like a 5 o'clock shadow 'stache, or a really retro fuller version for short time frame (like Movember or a costume party, etc - I hate the paste on fake kind). As long as it's temporary, I think it's hilarious and a GREAT conversation piece! I much prefer it to the chinstrap beard or lambchop sideburns (even the modern version), for example.
