Yay or Nay? Taylor Swift's NYFW Style at Rodarte

Taylor Swift attended Rodarte's Spring 2012 collection show at New York Fashion Week and she was in good company - also in attendance were Elle and Dakota Fanning and Beyonce and Solange Knowles.

Taylor may have snagged the best parking spot however, seated next to Vogue editor, Anna Wintour. Swift wore a long-sleeved lace and crochet midi dress from Rodarte's Fall 2011 collection.

The waist cinching detail and the flared hemline on the dress flatter her figure - there's the good news!  I don't think I'm wild about the sleeves and the high lacy collar: a little matronly?

Dakota Fanning wore a similar dress to the same event but pulled it off because of a shorter hemline and skipped the sleeves. Maybe Tay's recovering from her Marilyn Monroe-style wardrobe malfunction last month?  We're also a little disappointed with her uninspired hairstyle.

While I usually love Taylor, this look is a nay for me! What do you think?

NAY. Definitely not a fan of the hair or the look. The sleeves and lace does not do it for me. I do however like the waist clenching detail and flared hemline is a nice look, just not with that combination.

I think she looks beautiful as always but this dress is a little too elderly woman and does not show off taylors youth

Total Nay!!! Although the dresss and makeup would look great on someone else, it does not suit her style. She looks like a porcelain doll that has been dressed up by someone in the 1800's, definately does not gel with her current image and looks. However, it is nice to see celebrities breaking out and trying something different fashionwise. Had the dress length and sleeves been shorter, it would have been a better twist on a traditional lace look.

Nay!!! The length is wrong.. the neckline is not flattering either. The best thing about the dress is ... nothing!!!

Its a yay for me...love the vintagey look, but I must say I would've really liked some little cap sleeves instead of the full length ones. I think that's what's making her look "matronly'. But, I would wear it!!

Everything about her look is awful! In the first photo it looks as though there's no lining under her lace.

Like the skirt portion of the dress, but the rest is too cluttered for my taste
