We really enjoyed the McCain Tasti Taters as a side dish to a homemade weekend brunch. They provide the same taste and texture as a hashbrown patty from McDonald's, but are more convenient and quick to make. I especially like the crunchy exterior and the soft, fluffy potato interior. It's hard to stop at eating just one or two or three... Or more. -

I really enjoyed the opportunity to try the Scotch Essentials Adjustable Hem Tape as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. These little tapes are easy to use, and allow you to adjust the hem on any pants, skirts or dresses without having to pull out your sewing machine or bring the item(s) to a seamstress. I was able to use the product to change the hem length on a dress that I've had for ages but which was always a bit too long on me. It worked like a charm! I was very pleased with the results and would likely buy this product again in the future. I've got a lot of clothes, and it will be nice to have them fit better. Thanks for letting me try this out, ChickAdvisor! -

I received Scotch Essential Easy Fix Button to review as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. The instructions seemed easy to follow, and the button is meant to be a temporary fix when you're out and do not have a sewing kit at your disposal. It's not meant to be a permanent fix so it won't replace the need for a needle and thread to securely affix a button to a shirt. For me, this product does the trick as a quick stop-gap measure; however, it won't replace my needle and thread in the long-run. It worked well, and I carry it in my make-up bag for emergencies that may occur. -

My sewing machine recently stopped working. The timing could not be worse as the stitching came undone on the hem of one pair of pants that I regularly wear to work. I'm a klutz when it comes to hand-sewing anything so I haven't been able to wear the pants until I received the Scot Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips as a result of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I tried using the bonding trips for my pants and was surprised by how easy it was to use. It worked! it was such a cinch to hem my pants again, and I was able to wear them immediately after. The hem continues to hold strong after a few washes, and I am very happy with the results. I'll certainly keep this in mind the next time I need to hem something. -

I received the Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep to try out for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. This fantastic and rich sleep mask did everything that it promised. I have been trying this every night for the past two weeks, and can see and feel the difference in my skin. The product settles nicely on my face after I massage it on, and it keeps it hydrated and moisturized overnight. I rinse it off in the morning after my skin has absorbed all of the nutrients in the cream. According to Vichy, the ingredients in Idealia Skin Sleep include hyaluronic acid, vitamin B3, and LHA among others. My skin looked and felt more smooth and supple the next morning. The effects reminded me of what a good sleep mask (a very popular facial skincare product in Asian markets) can do. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family, and would likely buy it once I finish using the current jar of cream. Oh, and I love the beautiful pink jar that it comes in - with a mirror on top, to help in ensuring smooth application of the cream. -

I recently had the opportunity to try Vichy Idealia Life Serum as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. The product is a bit more expensive than I would usually spend on a facial serum so I was very glad to receive it as a product reviewer. Unlike many serums that are more gel or liquid in nature, the Vichy Idealia Life Serum is rich and thick when you dispense it from the bottle. It goes on smoothly on your face and absorbs into your skin almost immediately. A little bit (dime-sized amount) goes a long way. I used two small pumps to cover my face and neck, every morning and evening. I was initially worried that the product might be too rich for my skin and that it might cause pimples (I have combination skin with an oily T-zone); however, I need not have worried at all. The product worked beautifully for me, and after a week's use, there is visible improvement in the skin texture on my face. My skin is smooth and hydrated, and I don't have to worry as much about dry skin flakes on my nose as my work day progresses. The Vichy Idealia Life Serum performed so much better than I had anticipated, and worked much better than the other serums I have used in the past. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family, and I plan on buying another bottle when this one runs out. -

I received the Cottonnelle Flushable Cleansing Cloths to test as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. My partner and I have been using this product since receiving it a couple of weeks ago. His comments were that the flushable cleansing cloths were not very good. He has previously tried the Kleenex Cottonelle Flushable Moist Wipes, and preferred that variety more because it felt more substantial for its purpose. I tried them for a while at the beginning, but found that the cleansing cloths fell apart during usage. It did not leave me feeling cleaner or more fresh. I found that I still needed to dry up after using these cloths. I was unhappy with the product and will not be purchasing it in the future. It may work well for families with young children, but it did not work well for two adults with healthy bowels. -

The Origins Clear Improvement Mask uses active charcoal to help draw out environmental toxins and dirt that can clog your pores and dull your skin. It is suitable for all skin types, and can be used once a week or more often as needed.
I use it twice a week. Start with a clean face. Apply a warm towel to open up the pores in advance of the treatment. Apply the mask and allow it to dry. It will take 10-15 minutes. Relax while it is drying - it may feel tight on your skin as the mask works its magic. Rinse well once the mask has completely dried. Then gently pat your skin dry and enjoy the new glow.
I was very pleased to see the improvement in my skin after a few uses. My skin has cleared up - less acne and smoother, brighter skin with less visible pores. The Origins Clear Improvement Mask is well worth its $27 MSRP and one tube will last you many uses.

I used the Crest Pro-Health Multi-Protection Rinse for 2 weeks while testing it as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. The timing of this review was perfect, as I had just visited my dentist and the rinse was recommended by my hygienist. I am usually a Listerine girl - love my Vanilla Mint Listerine, which doesn't sting but leaves a pleasant freshness in my breath. I didn't notice any difference in using the Crest rinse even after 2 weeks of constant usage. I'm not sure if I would buy this after I finish the bottle, but if it was on sale or if I have a coupon, I'd likely give it another try.
