I love the Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil - it is my go-to moisturizer. The oil contains vitamin C and essential fatty acids, and works great on sensitive, dry, and acne prone skin. All it takes is three drops to cover your face - it absorbs easily and does not leave skin feeling greasy. I have oily/combination skin but this facial oil does not leave my pores clogged, and my skin does not break in zits.
Pure maracuja oil is known for its anti-aging and healing properties. Only one crop of this rare Amazonian fruit is harvested each year by hand, by Amazonian women who are affiliated with tarte’s cooperative in the Amazon. It is not the cheapest facial moisturizing oil that you can purchase, but it is an excellent product that will work wonders on your skin. I swear by this product, and a few months ago, I would never have dared to try an oil on my face. Now, my face does not feel as well moisturized as when I use Tarte Maracuja Oil on it.

I was thrilled to receive the Maybelline New York Volum' Express Falsies Big Eyes Mascara for review from Maybelline. Having been a lifelong sufferer of "next to invisible lashes", I had given up hope that I would find a mascara that is easy to apply (I am a klutz and often stab my eye with the brush while trying to apply mascara) and works magic to make my lashes appear more lush. The brush for the upper lashes works great - my lashes appear more voluminous and lush. It separated my lashes and did not leave any clumps. The brush for the lower lashes did not work as well for me. I have sparse lashes, and my lower lashes seem non-existent. Using this mascara on them only made them seem more sparse since it accented the few lower lashes that I have. I didn't like the effect of using both brushes on my lashes. Perhaps if you are blessed with a nice set of eyelashes, this might be a good option. For me, I will use a regular mascara and skip applying any to my lower lashes. -

I tested the Crest Pro-Health ProFresh Toothpaste as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. After two weeks of consistent use, I can say that the toothpaste left my mouth feeling fresh and clean. Unlike other toothpaste, this does not foam up heavily. It leaves your mouth feeling and smelling fresh. I'm not sure that it kept my breath fresh for the whole period between brushings, but it did seem fresher for quite some time. I'll go back to my regular Crest Pro-Health Gum Protection Toothpaste once this tube is finished.

I was pleasantly surprised by how clean my teeth felt after using the Oral-B CrossAction Pro-Health Toothbrush that I received from ChickAdvisor for review. My regular toothbrush is a cordless Sonicbrush, which does a very good job. I did not have high hopes for a manual toothbrush so I was surprised by its effectiveness. While I will continue to use my regular power toothbrush, the Oral-B CrossAction Pro-Health Toothbrush will become a staple for travel and work.

I received this cleaner to sample as a Klout perk. I am very glad to say that the Green Works All Purpose Cleaner worked like a charm, cutting through grease and grime without leaving any residue behind. The lack of harsh chemicals was a bonus - no concerns about my health when using this cleaning product. Also, it left behind a clean, fresh scent. Until I tried it, I was skeptical about its effectiveness in a regular household, but I am a complete believer now. The glass and surface cleaner works well, too! -

Vicks VapoRub is my go-to ointment for anytime I have the sniffles - whether resulting from a cold, the flu, or seasonal allergies. It goes to work immediately to ease my congestion and open my airways so that I can breathe easily again. My mother used this on me when I was a child, and I've grown fond of my little blue pot of Vicks. Yes, it has that distinctive smell, but it works like a charm. My friends and colleagues always know when I'm feeling congested - they can smell the Vicks on me! I don't care that I might "smell like old lady" because when I'm having respiratory issues, anything that alleviates the congestion is a good thing. And Vicks VapoRub Topical Ointment is indeed a good thing. -

There are many make-up brush cleaners on the market, but the Sephora Daily Make-up Brush Cleaner is an excellent, low-priced option for keeping your brushes clean. A spray or two directly onto the bristles, then brush the bristles back and forth over a lint-free cloth or paper towel until no further colour is deposited onto the cloth/paper towel. It's a quick and easy way to remove the build-up from your brushes, in between washings. The product is made in Korea, antibacterial, and pleasantly scented. The large bottle will keep your brushes in good order for some time. If you have a Sephora Beauty Insider or VIB card, wait until you receive the semi-annual discount coupon to stock up at an even better price. -

The following review is for the MAC 129SH Powder/Blush Brush, which I purchased from MAC. As noted in a growing number of reviews online, the 129SH (short handled) brush is not without its flaws. Well, one significant flaw. No matter how well you take care of the brush (daily cleaning and weekly wash), this brush sheds. It does not shed occasionally, but every time I have used it. It is bothersome to use the brush to apply blush or powder, then notice that there is a sprinkling of hair from the brush all over my face. I have exchanged one brush already, and don't have a lot of hope for the new one as I have already found it shedding. If you're thinking about this brush, I would say look elsewhere - or go for the full-length 129 brush, which does not seem to share as many negative reviews as the 129SH. Good luck. -

The Make Up For Ever HD High Definition Foundation is my new favourite, must have, go-to make-up product. It blends perfectly into your skin, and feels weightless so I can completely forget that I'm wearing make-up. I use a small dime-sized amount to even out my skin tone, dabbing it on by using a quick stippling motion with my fingers. You can also use a brush, but it's not necessary. The foundation gives you the perfect photo finish, and will photograph well. I can't wait to use this as part of my wedding make-up. Yes, it's that good. -
