I experience really bad tooth sensitivity, and was recommended Sensodyne by my dental hygienist. Now it is the only toothpaste I use. I like the subtle minty flavour, and I do think my sensitivity has slightly diminished over time. However, it's not a miracle product, so my teeth are still pretty stained and sensitive to cold/hot foods :( -

I swore by this product when I was a high-level competitive Irish dancer. I would get chronic knee pain from stomping the floor and a fellow classmate recommended I try this to alleviate the discomfort. It works pretty well, although I found that it takes a bit of time for it to actually take effect. It numbs the pain and tingles a bit on your skin. I think it would be great for anyone who is physically active but experiences pain from repetitive movement. -

I had a free sample of this product sent to me in the mail recently. I think it's pretty good, but nothing special (most clay masks seem to do the exact same thing, in my experience). The container had just enough for one heavy application on the face. It took longer to completely dry down than it advertised on the package. When I looked in the mirror, I could see the spots on my face (my cheeks, nose, and chin, mostly) where the clay had absorbed the oil in my pores and cleaned them out. It's one of those weirdly satisfying things, lol! It's pretty messy to remove this product. The clay is thick, so it takes quite a bit of water/scrubbing to get it off completely, and it makes a cakey mess in the sink. After the redness from rubbing my face died down, my skin was left feeling soft and smooth. If you can find this one for a good deal, don't hesitate to snatch it up. Otherwise, there are tons of equivalent products on the market. -

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

I feel like such a cliche saying that this is my favourite mascara, but it really is that good. Although the L'Oreal Lash Paradise is in the same tube and has the same wand, it is the BTS formula that sets it above and beyond its drugstore counterpart. The liquid is thick, so that it gives your lashes a beautiful curl while also lengthening them and making them appear thicker and darker. I use one coat on my top and bottom lashes; any more than that and its gets clumpy. I would never buy this mascara full price because it's $30 and you're supposed to throw out mascara every 3 months in order to avoid eye infections, and that adds up really quickly over a year. I'd suggest buying a mini version, which I have found to last me 3 months easily anyway, and you get the exact same wand. I really dislike the name of this mascara and I feel embarrassed saying it, lol!! -

I received a mini of this product as my free birthday gift last year from Sephora. I applied a good amount of it before going to sleep, hoping that when I woke up I would have ultra-soft lips. My lips WERE soft the next day, but no better than if I had put ChapStick on them at bedtime. I don't understand the hype around this product, or why it is so expensive. -

I chose this as my free birthday gift at Sephora this year. I have heard a lot of great things about Drunk Elephant skincare, but I just can't bring myself to ever pay $80+ for one of their products. This skin cream is really nice! A small amount on your finger goes a long way. The packaging is really cute, too; I like the minimalist design with the neon lid. I think it's a nice cream, but not worth the price tag. The cream that I get from Nivea works just as effectively for a tiny fraction of the cost of this one from Drunk Elephant. I'm glad that I was able to receive this free mini so that I could try it out without wasting my hard-earned money. -

I truly love this dry shampoo. You can't go wrong with Batiste, but this product is my favourite that they offer. The packaging is so, so pretty; I love the pink flowers on the container. The scent is lovely, too. It's a soft, floral fragrance that is very feminine without being overpowering. My word of advice is to buy it at Winners/Marshalls rather than at the drugstore because you can find them there for around $7!! -

I picked this up after hearing it being compared to the Benefit Gimme Brow, which is significantly more expensive that its counterpart from Essence. That definitely piqued my interest. It's less than $5 and totally exceeded my expectations! I have medium-brown hair, so I chose the browny brows shade, and it's a great match for me. The wand is the perfect size so you can apply it with whatever angle you want. The bristles don't hold too much product, so there is no worry about applying it too heavily. It gives my brows just the right amount of hold and tint. I pair it with my Nyx micro brow pencil to get a lovely, natural brow look. You really can't go wrong with this one! -

I purchased the shade HD Obsession after swatching the new hot pink Fenty liquid lipstick at Spehora. I was going to buy the Fenty one, but I was held back by the $30 price tag. Instead, I went to Shoppers and began swatching different lipsticks beside the Fenty one on my hand to see if I could find a dupe. I did!! This is an exact colour match for Fenty's, and, in my opinion, is a superior formula. The Fenty one is watery/liquidy, and I noticed that it bled into my skin so it wasn't a clean line. The Revlon lipstick is much thicker, and stays comfortably in place. Since it's a bright shade, I usually put the product on my fingertip and pat it onto my lips to get a more subdued, blotted look. I also really like the smell of this lipstick; it's a vanilla scent that reminds me of the Lime Crime Velvetine line. Be aware that this is a matte lipstick that does not dry completely, so it is not transfer-proof. -
