I am in love with this lip gloss. It’s tingly, smells amazing, and it doesn’t taste too bad either. It’s nice and thick (but not sticky), and stays on for hours! I love that it feels more moisturizing that regular lip glosses and is super shiny. I have been using it like a fiend for weeks and have barely made a dent. It’s supposed to freshen breath, which I am not too sure it actually does, but the cinnamon and mint extracts make the scent so strong that I suspect it more so gives your breath the illusion of being fresh if you know what I mean (kind of like the difference between taking a shower and putting perfume on maybe?) It is absolutely lovely and I gladly recommend it. -

This is a great hair spray. It’s a fine mist which is very important for curly hair like mine. It holds your style together without affecting the texture of your hair. It doesn’t make your hair sticky, hard, or crispy. Your hair’s style and natural texture is fully maintained without looking like there is any excess product in it. And if you make a mistake, removing the sprays hold is as easy as running a comb (or your fingers) through it. My only complaint is that the scent is quite strong, but if you like the scent of hair care products this won’t be a problem. Its definitely worth the price (14.99 CDN). -

This moisturizer is amazing! I’ve been very pleased with the lotion version in the past, but have never tried the foam. I saw it on clearance recently (after reading an article on msn.com that rated it one of the best products of 2009) and given my skins lackluster look during the winter I decided to give it a try. I was concerned that it might look super fake given that its winter in Canada ha ha but there’s no need to worry. The colour builds very gradually (it takes about 3 applications before there is a noticeable difference) and because it’s a foam and not a lotion, it goes on super smooth which means … NO STREAKS! YAY! Very big thumbs up! -

I am never disappointed with Cover Girl Mascaras, and although I like this one I have to say that Lash Blast is still my absolute favourite.
I don’t think this mascara particularly brings out the colour of my eyes like it claims to do, but I suppose truthfully I didn’t really expect it to. The shimmer is only visible when you have your nose to the mirror.
As mascara in general it is quite good: it makes my lashes longer, thicker and very dark which I love. I also really like the brush: it’s stiff and combs the lashes really well. It is also long and thin so it’s better for getting the tiny corner of the eye lashes than the thick Lash Blast brush.
Overall it is a good product but I am not blown away so will probably go back to Lash Blast for my next mascara purchase.

I have mildly acne prone skin and have been using Proactiv for years because it has proved effective for me. However recently I have been noticing that I don’t seem to need it anymore; I get pimples very infrequently and my skin was starting to get a little dried out. I decided to try Burt’s Bees to give my skin a natural and gentle break from the harsh chemicals that it had been enduring for so long.
The last time I stopped using Proactiv for a gentler alternative I broke out immediately but that was not the case this time. This cleanser removes all of my make up, smells pretty nice (like chamomile tea), and has that cool fresh tingle. It makes my skin feel clean, nourished and soft. It also refined my sometimes large pores on my cheeks which I really love. My skin looks clean, smooth and healthy.
I have been using this cleanser for several weeks now and have no intention of stopping.

I am completely and utterly in LOVE with this lotion. With the dreaded colder Canadian weather just arriving my skin is beginning to lose its lovely summer glow, and get a little drier than I would like. I love Vaseline’s regular Cocoa Butter Lotion and I am a complete sucker for things labeled extra nourishing, deep conditioning etc, so I decided to purchase this lotion instead. I am SO happy I did – it is thick (it not only contains deep conditioning cocoa butter but also petroleum jelly which locks in moisture) and smells divine. The scent is beautiful and not at all overwhelming. Even though it is a really thick lotion it does not leave you with that thick greasy feeling and leaves your skin unbelievably soft and smooth. And the best part is, it restored the lovely glow that I was missing taking my skin from lackluster and dry to radiant and smooth.
I highly recommend this for the cold and dry winter months!

I really like this product. Usually I am weary of products that promise two different functions – especially with base/top coats because in my experience they are not effective at both. However this product really is good at both. Admittedly I like it better as a base coat than as a top coat but that is because it really is a great base coat, and just a so-so top coat.
As a base coat: It dries quickly, prevents nail discoloration (particularly under dark coloured polishes) and really does help my poor constantly polished nails stay healthy. When compared to not using a base coat at all, my nails are stronger, less prone to breaking and peeling and shinier (after I remove nail polish) when I use this base coat.
As a top coat: It doesn’t dry as fast as a base coat (which is typical of top coats) and is not really as shiny as I would like. It promises diamond shine but I think my nail polish itself is shinier in some cases. Also, if you apply it too early it causes your polish to wrinkle and dimple which pretty much defeats the purpose of using a top coat in the first place. It is an adequate top coat (when used properly), I am just not blown away.
It also emphasizes on the box that it will extend the wear of ANY nail colour which I would totally agree with. Even my cheapie polishes that typically last anywhere from 2 to 4 days last close to a week with this base/top coat, which is VERY impressive.
Overall this is a very good product (certainly the best base/top coat duo I have used) and I will definitely repurchase it when this one runs out.

I have been a fan of Clean and Clear products for a long time, and this product has definitely become one of my favourites. It is a gentle scrub that exfoliates with smooth scrubbing beads. It is packed with vitamin C and Ginseng which is supposed to wake up tried looking skin and give you a radiant glow. I was skeptical about the glow part but I have to say it really does make your skin radiant. I have been using it for more than a month now every morning and my skin looks healthy and bright. It also smells lovely.
I give this one a BIG thumbs up!

This cleanser is my go-to facial cleanser. I have been using it off and on for years. It is a gentle cream cleanser that leaves your skin squeaky clean, cool and tingly. It effectively removes make up and makes your skin feel ultra smooth and soft. I have changed cleansers countless times over the years but always come back to this one. Clean and Clear is one of my most trusted facial care products – I love their make-up removing cleansing wipes, facial lotion, oil absorbing sheets and their morning burst scrub. (Note: the only clean and clear product that I am not a fan of is their Sensitive Skin Deep Pore Cream Cleanser. It was a little too moisturizing for my skin and clogged my pores.) -

Anyone who knows me knows that I have a ridiculous crush on Carrie Underwood. She is one of my absolute favourite artists right now. That aside, her most recent disc Play On is simply fabulous.
Her single Cowboy Casanova is so much fun! (Try and resist the urge to roll your eyes that Cowboy is in the title of this country hit) Its no “Before He Cheats” or “Last Name”, but it’s certainly a similar caliber. And if you like those songs, you’ll also like “Undo It” and one of my favourites on the disc, “Songs Like This” (“If it wasn’t for guys like you there wouldn’t be songs like this. If you hadn’t gone and done me wrong I wouldn’t go off like this”) Play on also has Carrie’s usual heart warming tear-jerkers like “Change” and “Temporary Home”
If you like Carrie’s other stuff you won’t be disappointed with this CD. Enjoy!
