Even on a chilly day, Geremie and I could not wait to try Chapman’s new Premium Pecan Butter Tart Ice Cream.
This flavour really reminded us of a classic butter tart, with hints of maple, crunchy praline pecans, and pieces of buttery sugar cookie throughout. The ice cream was rich, creamy, and packed with flavour without being overly sweet.
We also liked that it’s made with 100% Canadian dairy and comes in a full 2L container. Between the two of us, the tub did not stand a chance. We’d happily reach for this flavour again.

I really enjoyed trying the new Ferrero chocolate squares. The chocolate is smooth and creamy, and the crunchy crispies inside give them such a satisfying texture. I also liked that each piece is individually wrapped and has the Ferrero emblem on it which makes them feel a bit more premium.
The assortment comes with milk hazelnut, dark hazelnut, and white hazelnut flavours. Geremie’s favourite was the dark chocolate because it wasn’t too bitter, while I personally loved the classic milk hazelnut and white hazelnut flavours most.
We already buy Ferrero chocolates pretty often, so it was nice getting to try this new product line and I could definitely see us picking these up again

I brought this hot sauce to a family birthday party and ended up using it way more than I expected. Filipino parties always have a lot of food, so it was perfect for trying it with different dishes.
It tasted especially good with siomai. The heat is noticeable but not overpowering, more smooth than intense. You can actually taste the black truffle, which gives it a richer flavour than typical hot sauces.
I liked that it adds depth instead of just spice and makes simple food feel a bit more elevated.
Thanks to Butterly and Truffles and Circumstances for letting me try it. Definitely something I would keep using, especially at gatherings.

I tried Balloon Water Green Apple with my coworker Tiffany during our break at work and it was such a refreshing surprise. The flavour is crisp with a clear green apple taste, but it’s not too sweet at all. It has a nice balance of slightly sweet and slightly tart which made it really easy to keep sipping.
I usually reach for something quick during breaks, and this felt like a lighter option compared to sugary drinks. It definitely helped me drink more water throughout the day while still enjoying some flavour.
We didn’t have ice at work, but I can tell this would taste even better extra cold. I also like that it’s only 25 calories with 4g of real sugar and that it’s a Product of Canada. It’s definitely more flavourful than other sparkling waters I’ve tried so I am a fan!
I’d pick this up again as an easy everyday refresher, especially since it’s available at Sobr Market.

I’ve been trying the SUKU Vitamins Fibre Gummies and they’ve been such an easy addition to my daily routine. Each serving has 6g of prebiotic fibre which helps support digestion, and I like that they’re sugar free, plant based, and made in Canada. The taste honestly surprised me because they feel more like a treat than a supplement. It’s nice having a convenient way to add fibre without changing much about my day. I also appreciate that they’re clean gummy supplements and easy to take consistently. Definitely a simple option if you’re looking for extra fibre support in a way that actually tastes good.

I tried the Farming Karma Sparkling Apricot Soda for the first time and honestly I was surprised by how refreshing it tasted. The fizz is light and crisp and the sweetness feels natural from the fruit instead of being overly sugary like some sodas. You can really taste the apricot flavour which makes it feel different from a typical soft drink.
I also like that it’s made with real fruit and simple ingredients. It feels like a great option for summer when you want something cold and refreshing but not too heavy or sweet. Definitely something I would reach for again.

I tried the Nam Fruits dried mangoes with my mom and they were our favourite from the three flavours we received. Growing up Filipino mangoes are one of our favourite snacks so it meant a lot that she really enjoyed these too.
The mangoes tasted naturally sweet and fruity without being overly sugary. The texture was soft and chewy and they truly tasted like real mango instead of artificial fruit snacks.
As someone from Southeast Asia the flavour felt very familiar and comforting. I would definitely keep these as a snack at home or bring them with me when I am on the go. I would recommend them to anyone who enjoys real tropical fruit flavours.

Geremie and I tried the Sixteen Grains Pancake Mix and it was really easy to make together at home. The batter came together quickly and the pancakes cooked up nicely without needing anything complicated.
We added a little vanilla extract to the mix and topped our pancakes with strawberries bananas and maple syrup. They turned out soft and filling and were perfect for sharing as a relaxed breakfast together. Really delicious.
We also like that the mix is proudly Canadian made and each bag makes enough pancakes for more than just one serving which makes it great when you are cooking for two or for family.
It’s an easy option to keep on hand when you want homemade pancakes without starting from scratch. The Sixteen Grains Pancake Mix is available online and in stores at Healthy Planet along with the rest of their products.
