I received the Maybelline New York The Colossal Big Shot Mascara for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. This is a good mascara. There isn't really anything that sets it apart from other mascaras on the market that also claim to give your lashes more volume. I needed two coats to get the volume and look I wanted, but I always do. The brush was fine, nothing really special about it. Overall, I wouldn't rush out to by this mascara. It works, but doesn't do anything special. -

I received the Maybelline New York The 24K Nudes Eyeshadow Palette for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product review club. What a great eyeshadow palette! I have been looking for a new palette and this one hits the mark. With 12 different shades you have lots of options. Everything from nudes to smokey colours and they are all infused with metallic gold pigments. The colour selection gives you day and night options making it the perfect one stop palette. The shadow lasts on your lid, even without a primer, giving you a long wearing shadow. I would definitely recommend this palette. -

I received the Maybelline New York Dream Brightening Creamy Concealer for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I wanted to love this product, but was disappointed. I had been looking for something to help conceal the dark circles under my eyes (as this product claims to do), but found all it did was bring attention to them. Maybelline says it has "light-reflecting pearls" to brighten the area under your eyes. Personally, it made the area under my eyes look like I had applied concealer with sparkles in it, only drawing more attention to the area. Not what I was going for! The consistency of the product was good, went on smoothly, and I loved the large crayon like applicator that allowed you to dot the product under the eye. They just need to get rid of those "light-reflecting pearls"! Unfortunately, I would not recommend this product. -

I received the Maybelline New York Dream Cushion Fresh Face Liquid Foundation for free from ChickAdvisor as part of their product review club. I am not usually a liquid foundation user so I was eager to try this product as it comes in a compact that resembles a powder foundation. This makes it portable and easy to use on the go, unlike most liquid foundations. This product went on smoothly and provided even coverage. I was impressed with how easy it was to apply with the sponge applicator (provided) and get a smooth finish, without the mess of a regular liquid foundation. I will definitely consider using this foundation in the future and would recommend it to anyone who wants the convenience of a powder foundation with the coverage of a liquid. -

I received a coupon for the full purchase price of a case of Canada Dry Club Soda Orange-Mandarin for free as part of the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. I am huge fan of Club Soda (plain) and drink it daily, so I was excited to try something with flavour, no calories and the same carbonation as plain club soda. Unfortunately the product did not live up to my hopes. There was hardly any flavour, almost none. It had a very slight orange scent. I am sure if I gave it to people and passed it off as plain soda water, they wouldn't even have noticed. At $6.49 a case, I am going to have to pass on this product. Very disappointed and I won't be purchasing it in the future. -

I purchased the Glysomed Hand Cream - Fragrance Free because my office is a scent free environment. I need a fragrance free hand cream that would deal with the super dry conditions in my office. At first it goes on rather thick and feels like it won't absorb. It does however absorb into my very dry skin. If you don't have very dry skin it might feel a little too greasy. It lasts, even after hand washing and is great solution to my dry hands in a fragrance free office. I would recommend this product. -

China Glaze First and Last is a combination base coat and top coat. At first I was skeptical of something that works for both, but all my worries were put to rest when I tried the product. It is great as a base coat, dries quickly and is a perfect prep for colour. As a top coat it extends the wear length of any polish by at least 2 to 3 days! I will never use another base/top coat. So happy I tried this product! -

I received the Adrien Gagnon Super Energex for free as part of a ChickAdvisor Product Review Club Opportunity. Let's start with the taste of this product...it's awful! I added the liquid to a glass of water and couldn't drink it. I then tried adding it to juice (as recommended) and was able to drink a little more. It is hard for me to determine the products effectiveness given that I couldn't drink the whole thing. Personally I won't be buying this or recommending it to anyone. -

I received the Adrien Gagnon Decadent Fudge Nutriforme Bars for free as part of a ChickAdvisor Product review Club opportunity. I was excited when these arrived as I was looking for a good tasting, healthy meal replacement bar. The bar tastes great and holds true to its name...decadent. It is filling and leaves you satisfied for hours. Unfortunately, they have ingredients that I am not fond of, one being corn syrup. I personally don't believe corn syrup has a place in any diet. The other issue for me is the amount of carbs per bar - 35grams. This high for anyone who is trying to balance their protein/carb intake. -

I received the Arm & hammer Truly Radiant Clean & Fresh Toothpaste for free as part of a ChickAdvisor Product Review Club opportunity. I am pretty fussy about my toothpaste (and other things). I don't like ones that have a strong flavour/scent, so I was happy that this toothpaste was mild in scent and flavour. The consistency was good. Not too runny or too thick. It spreads well over your teeth and rinses easily. As for the whitening ability, I didn't notice a huge difference after using it for a week. I am due for my regular dental cleaning and will continue to use it after the professionals have had their way with my pearly whites and see if it helps to prolong that "just back from the dentist" white look. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a new toothpaste, but not if you are looking for quick whitening results. -
