I wanted to love the McCain Onion rings but in my opinion they fell short. First off the price sits around $4 for a box. There are not enough onion rings in that box for the $4+ price tag. Second, they don't get very crispy. It doesn't matter how hot the oven is, the coating just doesn't live up to what you expect from an onion ring. The coating is also very gritty for lack of a better term. I will stick to deep fried restaurant onion rings or homemade for that true flavor and experience. -

I had the opportunity to try the shelf stable Coconut Dream as part of the Chick Advisor product review club. I was sent a coupon valued at $5.00 which allowed me to purchase the product of my choice. I have tried a variety of dairy alternatives, Soy, Almond, cashew and coconut milk. I have never been a big fan of eating too much soy so that left me with almond and cashew primarily. Both were fine but didn't do much for me so I was excited to try the coconut. I used it in a few soup recipes with much success. I used recipes that called for dairy milk products and substituted the coconut dream. It work perfectly. I must say my favourite was a cup of Mexican hot chocolate made with the coconut dream. It was devine! This product has no strange after taste, is smooth and the flavour is subtle. It works well in cooking (ie, being heated). I would definitely purchase this product anytime I am looking for a dairy alternative. -

Love this hand cream! Super easy to carry in your purse as the container size is round and flat and not very large. The great thing about this cream is a little goes a long way. This time of year I have super dry skin, especially around my knuckles. A little dab of this makes the dryness go away, without leaving behind a greasy residue. My suggestion is grab a few and leave them everywhere....your desk at work, in the bathroom at home, in your purse, even in the car. -

I received a coupon for a free case of Canada Dry Club Soda Lemon-Lime from Chick Advisor. It came in a cool kit containing fancy straws and a decorative swizzle ice cube tray. I went out immediately to redeem my coupon for the free case of soda. To my surprise my local grocery store was charging $6.29 for a case of 12. Good thing I had my coupon for a free case, otherwise I would not have picked I up at that price. When I got it home I tried it right away. This beverage is not good at room temperature. I tossed a few cans into the fridge and waited until they were well chilled. First reaction was it had the bubbles you expect from a Canada Dry product. As for the lemon lime flavour I found it a tad too artificial for my liking. It started to remind me of the smell you get from some lemon cleaning products. Ack! All in all it isn't a bad product, but at $6.29 for a 12 pack I will stick to regular soda water and add fresh lemon and lime to it! -

I had the wonderful opportunity of receiving the Amope Pedi Perfect Electronic Foot File for free from Chick Advisore for the purpose of evaluating and reviewing this product! I have to say I didn't have high hopes as my feet are always a mess and need regular professional help to look summer sandle ready. #BarefootBeautiful at home was not something I thought could exist! I was wrong. The Ampode Pedi Perfect is easy to use and highly effective at revealing smooth soft feet. Callouses are a thing of the past and it extended the life of my professional pedicure by double! I would definitely recommended this product to friends and family (I already have in fact) and would buy it again if needed. It is light weight for being such a work horse and easy to use. It sits nicely in your hand and contours the edge of your feet with ease. This is a good investment and I love using it! -

I received the Coppertone Sunscreen Lotion Sensitive Skin Faces SPF 50 for free from Chick Advisor for the purpose of reviewing the product. I must say I was pretty excited about the prospects of a sunscreen for sensitive skin that was to be used on my face. I have always had an issue in the past with sunscreens as I have very sensitive skin. The texture was lighter than most face sunscreens, which is a good thing. I didn't feel like I had a big gloppy mess on my face. It worked well to keep my skin protected, even when I started to melt in the sun. Added bonus, no post sunscreen breakout. I did still find this was definitely a go to the beach, hang by the pool or play sports sunscreen. It wasn't something that felt like it could go under my makeup, despite it being lighter then most sunscreens. This is a great sunscreen for someone with sensitive skin that wants to be outdoors enjoying the sun and not get burned. I would recommend this to others. -

I love this toothpaste! Let's start off with I don't like toothpaste in general. It is a necessary evil in my books. I have searched far and wide for a toothpaste that doesn't make me choke and have finally found it. I don't know what the ingredient is in most toothpastes that makes me start to choke and cough when I brush my teeth, but it seems that Arm & Hammer has left it out. On top of this they have the two other factors I want/need. It whitens and strengthens enamel. Thank you Arm & Hammer...my toothpaste nightmare is over! -

I received the Vichy Idealia Life Serum from ChickAdvisor for free. The product packaging says it is a "Skin Idealizer Serum" and that you will get even and illuminated complexion, refined looking pores, and rested facial features. Personally, I am very particular about the scent of the products I use and as a result didn't like this one . I found it to be a very strong perfume smell and the scent did last a long time. The consistency of the product was perfect for something you can wear under makeup as it was light and absorbed quickly. The product did have a slight shimmer to it. I guess this is where the illuminated complexion comes in!?! My favourite part of this product is how it smoothed the skin for even makeup application. This would be the one reason I would buy it, but at $59 for 30mL I can't say I would rush to the store. So long and short if budget isn't an issue and you aren't scent sensitive and you need something to prime your face in the morning, then this is your product! -

I received Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep from ChickAdvisor for free. My first thoughts when I applied it was I didn't love the scent. I am pretty sensitive where scents are concerned and it seemed pretty strong to me and I was tempted to wash it off. I didn't as I wanted to give the product a fair chance. I also found it to be fairly sticky and it took awhile (at least 30 minutes) to absorb into my skin. This is a product you want to put on and not immediately jump into bed or your pillow case will end up wearing most of it. Having said this the next morning I did wake up with appeared to be plumper and well hydrated skin. For me I think this is a product that I would see being more beneficial during the dry winter months when my skin is crying out for extra hydration. I would recommend this to anyone with extremely dry skin who needs immediate relief. This isn't something I could see myself using daily in the warmer months. While the product did hydrate the way it promised, I can't get over the texture and scent so I can't say this is something I would purchase. -
