I’ve been hearing about shampoo bars & was curious to try them, unsure whether I’d like them or not. I was excited though a tad sceptical about what shampoo & conditioner bars could do for my hair & how to tell which 1 was for me. They have a quiz online - you answer questions & based on your answers you get results (it calculates your hair’s pH level & tells you what set is appropriate for your hair). Mine was the Vitality set. I love the compostable container & the minty scent. I followed the instructions & was amazed to find how well the shampoo lathers & how you really only need to use the water in your hair for it to lather. A tiny bit goes a long way. I waited for my hair to be very greasy before trying the set - it felt squeaky clean after using the shampoo& the conditioner surprised me with the way It made my hair feel so soft, really helped to detangle & make it smooth. I used the duo for 1 week & am in love with how my hair has been looking + feeling. I waited for 4 days since using it last to see how long my hair stays feeling clean. I can safely say my hair is not feeling or looking greasy, is still as shiny & soft as the day I washed it last! All their shampoo & conditioner bars are colour-safe, free of plastics, sulphates, & silicones, vegan & gluten-free! Do you know pH matters when it concerns hair care products? OGX Bond Protein Repair Sealing Serum: is a non-negotiable leave-in serum to follow the shampoo & conditioner! I’ve been using a serum after washing my hair for a while & this one is lovely! It has a gel-like texture & can be used on both damp & dry hair & can be slept on overnight (or you can style hair with heat)! It’s neither heavy nor does it leave my hair greasy, gets absorbed very easily & gives it a beautiful shine. It smoothes my hair even if I style it without heat & my hair doesn’t feel bogged down or heavy. It’s got the same fragrance as the shampoo & conditioner - stronger but I love it! I’ve found us a great system/routine that works to strengthen, repair & give hair a gorgeous shiny & smooth finish - this OGX Bond Protein Repair collection. If you haven’t got it for yourself yet, run don’t walk!

My hair’s back & finally growing out straight again - yay! But it’s damaged. So I was thrilled when I found I was getting the ultimate repair system it deserves thanks to the OGX Bond Protein Repair collection. It’s here to transform our hair care routines! I’ve used it a few times since getting it & here’s what I found:
OGX Bond Protein Repair Shampoo: is very light + lathers easily, but I found I needed more than I expected (probably because my scalp was quite dirty the first time I used it). The next time, I didn’t need to use a lot. The texture & fragrance are both really nice. I only need a single wash to clean my hair well. It feels soft & is shiny when dry. I’m waiting to see how my hair improves after regular use of this shampoo with “Lipi Pro Shield Technology” specially since I’ve resumed colouring my hair since last year which dries my ends faster.
I love the fact that it contains no parabens and sulfates.

I’ve been a coffee addict for as long as I can remember! And let me tell you, I’m not just a coffee addict, but quite the coffee snob! I think need up buying an incredible coffee machine so I could make my own coffee at home because I didn’t like the coffee that’s available in most “coffee shops”! And I judge a place on how great it is based on the coffee I can find there! So you will believe me when I tell you - I wasn’t aware of this coffee till I tasted it! Saltwinds coffee really does live up to the hype and surpasses it too!
Despite being a snob - there’s one thing most coffee brands won’t tell you - and this is it - coffee wasn’t traditionally shipped in shops with metal hulls or even stored in metal containers. The really good coffee tasted as good as it did because it was seasoned with the salt winds that reached the coffee beans through the wooden hulls of the ships! And not that I know there is this incredible family in New Brunswick that’s keeping the true excellent taste of coffee alive the way it traditionally is meant to be, I’m so glad I discovered it! Now I urge you to go taste it for yourself as well! Don’t wait - the coffee is calling your name!

I have been using multiple PanOxyl products for my own and my daughter’s acne for the last 2 odd years. Then I heard that they launched this spray for Body Acne and I was so keen to try it. Specially because my daughter’s now has body acne on her back like her Mama used to.
With 2% Salicylic acid (I swear by Salicylic acid as an ingredient in all my acne products due to its effectiveness and have been using it since my own teenage years) - it’s amazing with the way it treats acne by reducing swelling, redness and unblocking blocked pores, enabling the shrinkage of pimples.
This spray is very convenient for acne on the body on anreas like the back that aren't always easy to reach & the spray ensures it covers a large area while maintaining hygiene since it doesn’t need to be applied by the fingers.
While I’ve only just started using it on my daughter & myself, I was pleasantly surprised to see and feel an improvement in just one use - overnight! Within just 1 week, we both noticed a significant reduction in the size and severity of our acne. I can’t speak for people with skin types different from ours, but this spray has done a great job for our combination skin that is more oily than not - specially on our backs.
What I’ve noticed the most is that in addition to treating existing acne, this spray appears to be very effective at preventing additional breakouts. It’s very quick and easy for us to apply it on each others’s backs after a shower before bed and that makes it very convenient to add it to my routine before bed. We use other products on our face and this for the body but this spray can also be used on the face.
This spray from PanOxyl has pleasantly surprised us with its quick-acting formula and results, specially for acne prone areas prone to frequent and painful breakouts.
This is now our go-to body acne treatment.

After using the lavender sugar scrub in my shower, I had to treat my skin to the incredible Nectarlife Shea Moostirizing Body Butter. This body butter is surprisingly non greasy after it gets absorbed into the skin. And it really moisturises the skin, keeping it feeling soft and bouncy while also looking like it had a gorgeous glow! I love the fact that it contains both vitamin-rich shea butter and avocado oil which was a new skincare ingredient for me! The scent of the body butter left me with a beautiful, light, delicate, sweet floral smell with a herbal undertone.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that I can also use this 2-in-1 Formula which consists of Whipped soap + shaving butter as a great way to prep my skin for a silky-smooth, irritation-free and easy shave. I felt that my skin felt deeply moisturised, hydrated, softer, nourished and smoother. It also had a definite glow after applying which I don’t get from my usual moisturizers. I find the best way to get it to really absorbed into my skin is to massage it immediately after my shower while my skin is still damp. Love this body butter and recommend this to anyone looking to deeply hydrate their skin without feeling greasy after!

I love using body scrubs but had to stop for a long while due to my radiation treatments and how sensitive my skin has become. When I got the Nectarlife Exfoliating Body Scrub, I was apprehensive if I would be able to use it but when I opened it I was pleasantly surprised to see how fine and moist it was. So I used it to not only cleanse but also moisturise my skin in the shower. I love the scent of lavender it has and I love how it makes my skin feel. It contains a blend of natural sugar, salt, shea butter, coconut oil, and sweet almond oil that all work together to remove dirt from my pores while nourishing my skin and leaving it feeling so beautifully moisturized and softened.It performs the following things to my skin : Exfoliates, Cleanses, Locks in Moisture, Softens, Nourishes and Makes My Skin Glow. You know I’m always on the hunt for deeply hydrating body lotions after my radiation treatment damaged my skin and left it so parched. And this is even more true in the harsh winters here in Canada.
We’ve already been hit by the Polar Vortex and a few storms and there are more to come as soon as tomorrow. These storms and weather systems bring extreme cold and dryness with them.
When I heard that I was getting the Keri Nourishing Therapy Shea Butter lotion to try, I was a bit apprehensive - since I’ve never heard of it before. Still, I’m always ready to try new products and that’s how I often discover great one!
The lotion has several ingredients known for their hydrating properties including vitamin E, Sunflower Seed Oil, Aloe Vera, and Shea Butter. I find the best time to moisturize my body is right after my shower so I decided to put it to the test. The lotion is thick and creamy, an emollient - rich formula with a mild scent. I found it rather viscous while applying. It got absorbed quite easily and left a nice shine on the skin. The scent while tolerable wasn’t the best for me but it didn’t irritate my skin at all. The hydration was really great and even after 24 hours, my skin still looked and felt moist and hydrated like the moisture had been locked into my skin, instead of it feeling dry and thirsty.
Although I hadn’t heard of this brand, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it is backed by over 50 years of experience in providing dry skin relief with dermatologist trusted ingredients. Keri also aims to empower women to feel comfortable and confident in their skin for generations to come. I was even pleasantly surprised to find that it’s very reasonably priced and is available at stores like Walmart and Amazon!
