I received the Colgate 360 Gum Health Sonic Powered Batgery Toothbrush from Butterly to test a few weeks ago. The brush has extra soft bristles and has a tongue cleaner on the back of the toothbrush head which is a big plus for me. I thought it would be like a proper electric toothbrush but realized upon using that it only vibrates when you turn the power on. The soft bristles are definitely very soft and it has these silicone things sticking out along with the bristles that give a nice massage to the gums. I like the fact that it uses a battery - it’s a very convenient factor - (when I’m traveling, I prefer to not take my electric toothbrush with me because of the hassle of having to carry the charger etc along with me). It’s got a compact, slim design and is lightweight, which I like. However I’m not very convinced about the effectiveness in cleaning. So I would give it a 3 out of 5 stars rating. -

I received the Urban Decay Face Bond Waterproof Foundation from Butterly to test a few weeks ago but I ended up having surgery so I haven’t been able to test it out…till today. Today being my birthday, I wanted to make myself look and feel better since I’ve been dealing with a lot of pain, so it was the perfect day to make myself look better even if I’m just sitting at home with no plans 😊
The foundation claims that you only need a drop of it to cover your whole face and it’s waterproof for up to 24 hours. It also says it’s lightweight, vegan, packed with 3% niacinamide to minimize the appearance of imperfections, redness, acne scars, blemishes, and pores & last but not least, it’s formulated with sebum- and sweat-absorbing setting powders inside, what’s more, it’s available in 40 shades from fair to deep!! The first part is true. I put a very small amount on my hand and used a make up sponge to apply it on half my face for the video I took. The sponge obviously absorbed some of the foundation and I wanted to show the difference in how it looks on the half of my face that I applied it on. Once I saw how well it did the job, I applied it to the rest of my face as well. Next, it covered my blemishes, reduced the appearance of imperfections and acne scars and pores quite well considering I only applied a tiny amount and it was so easy to apply and spread. It got absorbed into my skin immediately and didn’t feel even the slightest bit oily. It in fact gave the appearance as if I had finished off my foundation with a compact over it (I did not). It also didn’t transfer from the bridge of nose to my glasses despite my putting them on very soon after application (normally all my foundations always transfer onto my glasses). I’ve had it on all day and it hasn’t smudged and still looks totally fresh! I can see it is easily buildable but for today I only wanted light coverage since I was sitting at home all day and am in post surgical recovery with no plans to meet anyone or go anywhere and it more than did the job. So I would say it really stands up to the claims it makes and those are some really tall claims!
This will be perfect for me to wear if we are having friends over at our pool in the summer. And yes I did test it by wetting my face multiple times and it still didn’t budge!
I’m so glad I had a chance to try it. I definitely recommend it for people who like to wear foundation and don’t want to have to worry about reapplying it even once during the day!

I received the Panoxyl PM Balancing Moisturizer a couple of weeks ago and my daughter has been using it every night for 2 weeks.
This is her review: My skin feels clean softer and lighter after using it. I like how light the moisturizer is and how easily it gets absorbed into my skin. I only need a very small amount for application every night. It doesn’t leave any residue on my pillow. My skin still feels soft when I wake up in the mornings and I feel like my skin texture is looking better since I started using it. The smell is a little odd - but that doesn’t affect my skin.
I recommend this product and am happy with the results.

I received the Panoxyl Oil Control Moisturizer AM a couple of weeks ago and my daughter used it a few times.
This is her review: My skin felt very clogged up all day and it felt like there were remnants of the oil on my skin even the next morning. I didn’t like the oiliness of it and stopped using it after a few attempts.
I don’t recommend this product because of the heavy oily feeling on my skin but can’t say if others will have the same reaction.

I received the PanoxylClarifying Exfoliant a couple of weeks ago and my daughter used it a few times.
This is her review: Unfortunately for me, this caused an unpleasant burning sensation on my skin. I tried to use it 3 times and at different times of the day but every single time I used it, I got the same feeling. As a result I am no longer using it.
I don’t recommend this product due to my sensitive skin’s reaction to it but can’t say how it will be for other people.

I received the Panoxyl Acne Wash - 4% Benzoyl Peroxide Cream a couple of weeks ago and my daughter has been using it every night for 2 weeks.
This is her review: My skin feels clean and less oily specially around my nose which tends to get oily by the morning. My skin has started looking lighter and clearer. I’m still getting some acne as usual but I find that it’s clearing up faster and it’s not as noticeable. My forehead acne also seems to have cleared up considerably.
I recommend this product and am happy with the results.

I received the YSL Loveshine Lipstick in shade 44 a couple of weeks ago. I like wearing lipstick to work but never leave home or go anywhere without a lip balm on me. I don’t wear lipstick to work of late as much as I work from home and prefer to use lip balms. This lipstick was a revelation because I used it on a day when I had lots of Zoom video meetings back to back. I usually find that my lipstick is gone and needs reapplication after just one meeting. This one was more like a light lipstick meets tinted lip oil meets hydrating lip balm. I love the light pink colour and I love how despite the fact that I had only applied it once, it left my lips looking shiny (like a gloss) but more importantly left them feeling so hydrated!!
Even with my lip balm, I’m usually reapplying it after every few hours, and I kind of expected the same would happen with this one. I was really not expecting it to keep my lips looking nice while feeling so soft and hydrated the entire day!
So I looked at the ingredients and found that it’s enriched with fig pulp and six pure oils
The colour is buildable and I haven’t used it with a lip liner underneath but I’m sure it would give an amazing glossy tint to it as well.
I am in love with this lipstick and I love how it gave my lips just a hint of colour with oodles of hydration and kept them feeling soft all day and night!
I definitely recommend the YSL Loveshine Lipstick.

I got the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream Extra - Dry new formulation to use on my face because my skin has become extremely dry in lots of places thanks to my chemotherapy and radiation. I wanted to see if it lives up to its claims.
First of all I was surprised about why it was called a Gel Cream. Does it mean it’s a gel or a cream? It’s a cream but on application it felt like it got absorbed in my skin like a gel does. Application is very easy and it gets absorbed into the skin very fast and easily. It makes my skin feel soooo moist instantly and makes it feel soft and bouncy. I find that my pores are feeling and looking smaller but without feeling clogged. So that’s a big plus. It also seems to have cleared up my skin pigmentation and texture, doesn’t make it feel oily and it’s as easy to use on my face just by itself or under make up, because my make up glides on just as easily as it would as if I had a primer on!
It’s so much better than the original formula.

I received the YSL Lashash Mascara from Butterly and YSL beauty to test for free. The size of the mascara tube is longs, the brush is a good roundness but I was quite disappointed with the way the mascara came on. I couldn’t believe how clumpy it felt and the more I tried to separate my lashes, the clumpier it got. To ensure I wasn’t just dealing with bad luck, I washed the applicator brush, waited for it to try and then used it again, but the problem still persisted. The colour was a nice rich black and the mascara stayed put all evening, but it did smudge onto my eyelids when I applied it and it also wasn’t easy to remove despite using eye make up removing cleansing balm. So I was quite surprised and rather disappointed - maybe it’s just been my bad luck and I got a tube that wasn’t great, but I’m not sure I would buy it if anyone else had similar feedback.
I love YSL cosmetics, perfumes & products normally but I was left disappointed with this mascara to say the least. Wouldn’t recommend it.

I received these PanOxyl PM Blemish Brightening Patches from Butterly and Crown Labs to test for free. The size of the patches is very large, they‘re easy to apply, stay on overnight and come off the skin very easily the next day. I couldn’t believe how fast they acted and how much of a difference even a single use made to my blemishes. To make sure I was testing them well, I used the first patch on an old blemish which I have tried to reduce for very long, to no avail. So I was really surprised when it was significantly lighter and faded the very next morning. The patches are so large that for smaller areas, I started cutting them and using so as not to waste them.
I love them and am definitely going to buy and keep a few handy for myself and my teenage daughter all the time.
