I have been using the Dove Nutritive Solutions Coconut & Hydration Shampoo for the past two weeks. I have noticed a differenxe in the softness of my hair, especially when used in combination with the matching conditioner. But I have noticed that because it hydrates/moisturizes the hair it does make it my hair greasy faster. I like to wait 2-3 days between washing my hair...but I have not been able to as it makes it greasy faster. -

I have been using Dove Nutritions Solutions Coconut & Hydration Conditioner for the past three weeks. I really like the smell of the conditioner. It really does hydrate my hair and leaves it feeling soft. But I have noticed that it does make my hair greasy faster and it typically looks greasy the second day after I wash it. I usually like to wait 2-3 days between hair washes and I don't have that option. -

I received a coupon from Chick Advisor to try Almond Dream. I chose to try the vanilla flavor. I was diagnosed as lactose intolerant as a teenager. I tried soy milk beverages but never liked the taste. I was pleasantly surprised with the almond milk beverage.
I really enjoyed the vanilla flavor and found it paired well in smoothies, protein shakes, or just with cereal! I also appreciated that it comes in chocolate flavor...something I really crave and am usually not able to drink. Stick with original if you do not want a sweet product. Would definitely recommend and will buy again!

I was given a free sample of Secret Outlast Xtend Invisible Solid from Secret. I have been using the product for four weeks now. I have been disappointed and have found it unable to provide 48-hour odour protection as advertised. To be honest, it hasn't provided 24-hour protection for me and I have been forced to reapply it throughout the day (in the morning, before and after a workout/swim, before going out in the evening). I think that I should only have to apply an antiperspirant once and it should provide odour protection for the day. The invisible solid has also left white marks on my clothing when applied, which is quite inconvenient. Many times in the past four weeks I have been forced to change my outfit as it left white marks on my clothes. I do not think I would purchase Secret Outlast Xtend Invisible Solid; however, I was recently a part of the Secret Clinical Strength campaign. I would strongly recommend the clinical strength antiperspirant version in clear gel!! Provided great odour protection and left no streaks on clothing! -

I was provided with AnceFree Oil-Free Acne Cleanser to test for free from Chick Advisor. I was very excited to try this product, as I have been taking a new medication that is causing me to break out on my face.
After using this for two weeks, I wouldn't recommend the product. The cream-like cleanser is difficult to lather and I never felt like I could fully wash the product off my face (leaving a film on my face). After reading the ingredients, I found that there were too many preservatives for my sensitive skin (which may have explained some of the redness and irritation after using this product).
Price wise, it is inexpensive, but I would not recommend it based on the quality and effectiveness!

I absolutely love Bath & Body Works PocketBac Antibacterial Hand Gels! They come in various scents and sizes (not only in pocket size but also in a size comparable to the hand soap containers). There are great deals during different seasons to get them inexpensively (5 for $5)! They are so convenient to keep in purses, drawers, pack in lunches for children or even keep in jacket pockets! I can't resist adding one to my purchase every time I visit Bath & Body Works! -

I received GOSH Mineral Powder #004 as part of the Product Review Club. The GOSH product is a loose powder which is intended to provide a "medium to full coverage and a matt flawless look". It is advertised as being very light and "easy to blend into the skin".
I wasn't impressed with this product, and that was disappointing because I was so excited to try a mineral powder (as I use a mineral foundation). After initially applying it over my face, I found that the #004 was too white for my face (especially in the summer) and made me look extremely pale. I also didn't feel that it didn't provide as much coverage as was advertised - the powder actually emphasized any lines/scars/creases/blemishes on my face. I have continued to use this product not for coverage on my face, but as a highlighter for my eyes - it provides a nice, neutral base to apply eye make-up and I use it to highlight/contour the area underneath my eyebrows!
As for the container, I did appreciate that it had a revolving lid inside ("spinner") to lessen the opportunity for mess or loss of the mineral powder; however, I had difficulty getting enough of the powder out of the bottom container. I had to leave the spinner open, close the container, flip it upside down, and re-open it so I could have enough powder to use when applying it to my face. I would highly recommend that this container be revisited as it was difficult to access enough of the mineral powder when trying to apply it.

GOSH was I lucky to try the Giant Blush #2 from GOSH cosmetics as part of the Product Review Club!! I really liked this product - it is a "cream-to-powder" blush stick which adds natural colour to your cheeks/cheekbones. I was surprised that I liked both the texture of the blush and the natural and fresh colour of #2. The creamy texture is easy to apply to your cheeks - I would recommend that it is applied lightly and blended with a sponge (or fingers if you are in a hurry).
I have previously used powder blushes and illuminators, and I find that the colour usually disappears around lunch. I did notice that GOSH Giant Blush did have longer lasting effects, and the colour stayed longer than other brands I have tried. I would definitely recommend this product in shade #2, if you are looking for a more neutral, natural and fresh colour!
I do need to mention that there is a concern regarding the packaging of the giant blush in the giant stick. I have been very careful not to press the lid down too far as I know I would hit and damage/crush the blush applicator. I know other Chick Advisors have had difficulty with the blush being crushed/falling off and they were forced to try and squeeze it back into the stick applicator. I hope this packaging concern will be addressed in the future!

I was very lucky to be chosen to try GOSH Double Precision Mascara as part of the product review club. I was very skeptical to try this mascara, as I have longer lashes and usually find that mascara clumps on my lashes or sticks them together. I was surprised that this didn't happen with the mascara from GOSH. I liked that there were two brushes - one larger brush for your upper lashes and one smaller brush for your lower lashes. I also used the smaller brush to better define both upper/lower lashes and cover those hard to reach corners. I will note that I did continue to wipe the mascara brush with a tissue before applying it, to prevent clumps and ensure it applied nicely (which I do with all mascara brushes of any brand before use to avoid clumps or streaks left from my long eyelashes touching my eyelids).
The mascara retails for between $15-20 dollars at pharmacies/drug stores, which is pricier than other brands, but I would recommend it because you are getting a great product with two application brushes!
