I received the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum in exchange for an honest review. I have used the serum for a little over a week. The serum has a nice sweet citrus scent that dissipates quickly. It absorbs well into the skin but sometimes pills when a moisturizer is used on top. I have not noticed any amelioration of fine lines, wrinkles, or dark spots, but my skin does look brighter and is hydrated. I will continue to use this serum, but I’m not convinced that I will purchase it after I finish it. -

I received the Garnier Bio Anti-Age Day Care face cream in exchange for an honest review. I’ve been using this cream every morning for two weeks. I have combination skin with dry patches and an oily nose and forehead. The cream is very hydrating. A little goes a long way. It takes a few minutes to completely sink into my skin, but once it has, I can use my primer and makeup as usual. It has a dense cream texture. The cream has a nice fresh scent that doesn’t linger. Since I started using this cream, I’ve noticed my fine lines seem to have diminished, my skin feels smooth and feels hydrated all day, even with the cold weather. The bottom line, I will happily continue to use this cream and will probably repurchase. I would recommend it to a friend. -

I received the Dermalogica AGE Bright Spot Fader, part of a three step system (with Daily Microfoliant and AGE Bright Clearing Serum), complimentary in exchange for my honest review. I was really excited to test these products as I have visible signs of aging and breakouts. It seems that this combination is rarely addressed together. The kit’s claims are: clear breakouts, smooth skin and brighten skin tone. It is cruelty-free which makes it a great incentive for me personally. The AGE Bright Spot Fader is easy to use but doesn’t seem effective in reducing breakouts or preventing uneven skin tone from breakouts. I still haven’t found a spot treatment that has effectively reduced my breakouts or the spots they leave behind for months after healing. -

I received the Dermalogica AGE Bright Clearing Serum, part of a three step system (with Daily Microfoliant and AGE Bright Spot Fader), complimentary in exchange for my honest review. I was really excited to test these products as I have visible signs of aging and breakouts. It seems that this combination is rarely addressed together. The kit’s claims are: clear breakouts, smooth skin and brighten skin tone. It is cruelty-free which makes it a great incentive for me personally. The AGE Bright Clearing Serum comes with a dropper to allow the application of a few drops at a time. It sinks in to the skin quickly and feels quite nice. Some other serums for breakouts feel too strong and burn, but not this one. I can see some reduction in the signs of aging, especially on my forehead, however I’m still breaking out so I’m not sure it is effective in preventing breakouts. I will not purchase this product. -

I received the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, part of a three step system (with AGE Bright Clearing Serum and AGE Bright Spot Fader), complimentary in exchange for my honest review. I was really excited to test these products as I have visible signs of aging and breakouts. It seems that this combination is rarely addressed together. The kit’s claims are: clear breakouts, smooth skin and brighten skin tone. It is cruelty-free which makes it a great incentive for me personally. The Daily Microfoliant is a powder that you mix with water to create a paste. You then massage it in circular motion for one minute. The directions are pretty easy to follow, but I don’t enjoy the extra step of mixing the powder with water to create the paste. The product is not too harsh on my skin and leaves my skin feeling very soft and a little brighter. This product is effective as a gentle exfoliant, but I would not purchase it for myself. -

I received the new Dove 0% Aluminum Deodorant in exchange for an honest review. I was really excited to get to test out this product since I’ve been on the search for an aluminum free deodorant that actually works and won’t stain my clothes.
I received the cucumber and green tea scent. At first I was a little disappointed as that is not the kind of scent I usually enjoy, but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a nice fresh scent that is not overwhelming. I find that it leaves a cooling sensation when I first apply it and it seems wetter than other deodorants I’ve tried. It either dries in a few minutes or I just get used to the feeling. I have been using it now for about a week, and we had some pretty warm and humid weather so I really put it to the test. I am happy to report that it actually works! I still smell fresh at nighttime without having to reapply during the day. As a bonus, my underarms don’t feel as dry as before. I haven’t noticed any white marks on my dark clothes and so far no yellow stains on my white shirts.
I will definitely repurchase this product in the future and recommend it to my friends.

I received the L’Oréal Wrinkle Defense cream in exchange for an honest review. I have been using this as my night cream for a couple of weeks. The cream has a light “cream” scent. I’m not sure how else to describe the scent… It’s very light and dissipates quickly. This product is very thick, but melts quickly into the skin. I find that I use more product than I usually use with other face creams. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and not sticky. I haven’t tried it under makeup, but I would think that it would work well as a day cream (as long as SPF is used with it). The next morning, my skin looks plumper and the appearance of fine lines seem diminished. I didn’t see much of an improvement on my deeper lines however. The price point is really good. I am happy to add this cream to my routine. -

I received the Vichy Dercos Densi-Solutions Thickening Shampoo in exchange for an honest review. I have very fine, thin, limp hair so I was really excited to try it out. The shampoo has a light fresh scent that lingers a little. I found it cooling on my scalp which was an enjoyable sensation. It lathers really well and rinses off cleanly. My hair feels nice and soft after using this shampoo. After my first use, I was disappointed that I couldn’t see any results, but after using for a couple of weeks, my hair does feel thicker. I also find that I’m losing less hair when brushing and washing. This product will definitely be added to my shampoo rotation. -

I received the Vichy Dercos Densi-Solutions Hair Mass Recreating Concentrate in exchange for an honest review. I have very find, thin, limp hair so I was really excited to try it out. When I received the product I was confused as to whether to use it on wet or dry hair. I contacted Vichy who explained that it was meant to be used on wet hair but could also be used as a protectant on dry hair. The instructions mention to divide hair in four sections and spray five sprays on the roots of each section. The first time I used the treatment I was afraid it would weigh down my hair and leave it greasy so I used one spray on each section. I didn’t see any results, but I also didn’t feel the product in my hair once it was dry. The next time around I followed directions. After drying my hair, I found that it looked thicker but still felt soft and I could run my hands through my hair. The only negative point I have is that I have been going through the concentrate way faster than the shampoo. Since the directions tell you exactly how much product to use, I would have thought that they would have included enough product to last through a bottle of shampoo… I enjoy the light fresh scent that lingers after use but some may find it too much. Overall, I am very happy with the product and will purchase after I finish it. -

I received the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream in exchange for an honest review #gotitfree. I have very dry skin in Winter so I was happy to test out this product. After the first application, I immediately noticed a difference. I used it at night before bed and when I woke in the morning my skin felt much better than usual. I’ve been using it daily and my skin feels silky smooth. The gel consistency feels amazing on the skin and it’s so easy to rub in. Goodbye tight, itchy skin! I found it also had a cooling sensation that makes me want to try it again in the Summer. It does absorb quickly, but I still have to wait a few minutes before getting dressed. I don’t mind, since I’m actually seeing results. It has a very light fresh scent that I found pleasant. The value for the price is amazing. #tryNeutrogenaHydroBoost -
