Now that summer is officially here, chances are you can’t avoid that beautiful sunshine. If you’ve been avoiding the good advice the world (and ChickAdvisor) has been telling you and burnt your skin to a crisp, or if you’d jut like to rehydrate your skin after a day at the beach, we rounded up some after sun care items for you to try.

1. Extend your tan beyond the beach with Life Brand Sunthera3 Tan-Extending Body Moisturizer (C$11.49).
2. Rather than rubbing an aloe plant all over your body, try Life Brand Sunthera3 with DNA Defense After Sun Aloe Vera Gel (C$11.49)
3. Life Brand Sunthera3 Face Hydrating After Sun Mask (C$3.99) comes in a tiny package, a perfect addition to your beach bag, it soothes and hydrates your face.
4. The two-in-one The Body Shop Body Butter Duo (C$18.00) contains a light moisturizer for your skin, and an intense cream for drier areas of the body.

2. Dry skin needs oils and fatty-acids to stay soft and after a day in the sun the shea butter, apricot kernel, black currant, and essential oils in
 Biotherm Sun After Oligo-Thermal Milk
(C$35.00) will prevent dehydration.
3. Clarins After Sun Replenishing Care for Face & Décolleté (C$45.00) promises to repair damage caused by UV rays and leave you with a glowing tan.
4. The watermelon extract in Clarins After Sun Gel Ultra Soothing (C$45.00) hydrates your skin, to keep you looking hydrated (if a watermelon is 90 per cent water you should be too right?)
5. Pure coconut oil mixed with the bud of the tiare flower nourish the skin in Nars Body Glow (C$61.50), while the chocolate shimmer adds a little colour to your skin.

How will you treat your skin after a day in the sun?

I think moisturizing is a must to heal the burnt skin. I especially like the body shop duo moisturizer. It allows you to choose whether you want to moisturize, or intensely moisturize!

I have never used a tan extender before, once in a while, on that rare occasion when I do tan it doesn't go very far. I will have to check these out!

I bet the Nars one smells amazing! I love the smell of coconut oil in the summer.
