10 Bronzers For A Sun-Kissed Glow

Why fry like an egg on the sidewalk (or at the beach, or by the pool, or in a tanning salon, or in your backyard nowhere near any water to justify that bikini you’re wearing) to get that perfect summer glow, when a dusting of bronzer gives you the same look. Lay out in the sun if you must, coated in SPF, but with one of these you’ll already be bronzed to perfection.

1. The different shades of bronze in Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks ($49.00 CAD) make it easy to customize a shade perfect for your skin.
2. Life Brand Sunthera3 Sundust Bronze ($10.99 CAD)—you really can't say no to a deal this good.
3. Baked bronzers have a marbled look, so one sweep of your brush over Lise Watier Havana All Over Baked Bronzer ($35.00 CAD) catches several different shades for a natural look.
4. Dior Bronze Matte Sunshine High Protection Bronzing Powder ($44.00 USD) is perfect for hitting the beach since it contains SPF 20.
5. Not only is the packaging of Lancome Star Bronzer ($46.00) pretty, so too is the delicate design on the bronzer.

1. The shimmery pigments in the Quo Baked Bronzer ($20.00 CAD) will give you a perfect summer glow.
2. You loved the Multiple as an eye shadow, lip gloss and blush, now try it as a bronzer: Nars The Multiple Bronzer ($44.00 CAD).
3. This new bronzer is made with Amazonian clay and mineral pigments to remove oil, reduce the appearance of pores and rehydrate the skin. Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder in Bronze ($36.00 CAD)
4. The Surf, Baby! collection is a limited edition, and the adorable packing of Mac Surf, Baby! SkinSheen Bronzer Stick ($35.50 CAD) doesn't hurt either.
5. Stash Victoria's Secret Sun Dust Bronze Shimmer Body Powder ($14.00 CAD) in your beach bag to glow like an "Angel" on the go.

Which bronzer will you hit the streets wearing this summer?

Forgot to mention, Milani also has beautiful baked bronzers which are exactly like the overpriced Lise Watier product for approximately $9. It will last you forever. Milani product are actually really good as far as quality goes and perform extremely well. Their baked blushes are also amazing. Lise Watier products really are NOT worth the putrageous prices that are charged for them. Take a look at their ingredients lists and compare them to far cheaper products. There is little to no difference when it comes down to the details.

Skip the expensive NARS product and get NYX's beautiful Tango With Bronzing Stix. I got one in Cha Cha With Sun God and it works just as well as the NARS Multiple, but is far FAR cheaper. It also goes a very long way and can be used anywhere on the body you want. It's a gorgeous product. I have 2 Bobby Brown Shimmer Bricks, including the bronzer and the rose colored one with 4 lip glosses/lip sticks in it, and absolutely hate them. They are far too sparkly and magnify the pores immensely. The NYX product itself is hard to find and I have never seen it in stores, so I had to order it online, but it is well worth the $3 or $4 I spent on it. Cherry Culture sometimes has it in stock. It blends very well, stays put, doesn't wear off or fade, looks very natural and is low on shimmer and sparkle. I run my synthetic foundation brush over it lightly and blend it in like that. Another great bronzer is actually Sephora's mineral foundation powder in Dark, which has no shimmer at all. It can be used for not only bronzing, but also for contouring. Beautiful finish. $6 in their bargain bins for a massive jar you will never run out of. It can also easily be mixed with foundation to darken yours up in the summer when you have more color to your skin. Sephora also has a solid compact bronzer which is a dry powder product. I picked that up for a mere $6 in one of their bargain bins. It might be discontinued now, I'm not sure. It also has no shimmer or sparkle to it and goes a long way. Yet another is Meow Cosmetic's Sunsplashers which come in a tonne of shades for all skin tones. Once again, no sparkle, no shimmer, but beautiful, natural bronzing qualities, and the product goes a long way. And no god-forsaken orange color to it. I am medium in skin-tone and got mine in Medium Abyssinian, which is very similar to my Smashbox Halo in Medium but just slightly more pigmented - I also use this Smashbox product as a bronzer. I think the Sunsplasher was approximately $10 for 10 grams of product. Worth every dime and will last me at least 2 to 3 years, if not longer.

None of the above mentioned bronzing products have an orange tint to them at all, which is a big problem with many bronzers. I tried Quo's product and didn't like it for this and other reasons. Between the orange tint to it and the pore-magnifying shimmer, I wouldn't spend a dime on it. Most expensive bronzers are also just not worth outlaying that amount of cash for them. There are so many drug store and online mineral makeup products on the market now that it just doesn't make sense to waste the money on nothing but a brand name and a label. Especially when there are many others which perform far better and last a very long time for a fraction of the price.

This is on a total different line...self tanners...I just tried St Tropez foam for the first time - hands down the best fake tan ever. You have to try it!!

I love bronzers but not a huge fan of the shimmery ones. I have never tried one of the sticks, super curious what they feel like and how they go on!

I've seen number 3 the Lise Watier one in real life and it is HUGE. The picture doesn't do it justice. You def get a lot of product in that one. I love bronzers btw it makes me look like I've been in the sun instead of being pale.
