10 New Fragrances for Spring

| Sunday May 2, 20102 comments
This season brings fresh new scents and classic remixes alike: don’t be afraid to allow the aromas of citrusy fruits, floral scents and precious woods revitalize you.

“There is a continued trend in the use of woody notes for Spring, but done in a very feminine manner,” says Victoria McManus, Trade Marketing Manager, Fragrance for Elizabeth Arden Canada. “The industry is forecasting a trend towards sensuality and signature which will be shown by the use of the Fl-oriental family of fragrances.”

(1) Guerlain 'Mitsouko', (2) Nina Ricci 'Le Paradis de Nina'

Take Nina Ricci’s new Le Paradis de Nina: stored in a cute pale pink apple shaped bottle, the fragrance is a combination of florals and citrus fruits including hints vanilla and a soft woody undertone.

(3) Jo Malone London, (4) Burberry 'Summer'

If sweet-seductive is what you desire check out the floral accents of Jo Malone London, or the musky Burberry Summer For Women with fragrant notes of mandarin, green apple, rose and vanilla.

Perfume is an affordable luxury, an extension of our personal style that we all take pleasure in.

“Fragrance is a very personal choice and it’s a matter of taste,” says McManus. “We pick a fragrance in the same way that we would pick a great outfit or hair style! It’s an expression of our personality.”

(5) Elizabeth Arden 'Red Door', (6) Juicy Couture 'Couture Couture'

For example, a strong bold women who loves luxury and makes a great entrance in a room may love Red Door, whilst a woman who wants to push past the rules and loves life might like Couture Couture by Juicy Couture.

(7) Tom Ford 'Black Orchid' Pen, (8) Juicy Couture 'Couture Couture' bracelet, (9) Leslie Blodgett 'Perfume Diaries' roller ball, (10) Philosophy 'Amazing Grace' perfume oil

These days there are a number of ways to wear perfume - spray or mist being the main two. Other options are available, such as gels, roller balls, spray pens and now fragranced jewelry pieces. These are usually solid parfums that are fun and speak to the brand’s character, like the Couture Couture Solid Parfum Bracelet. It’s about items that are easy and portable.
