Graduation time is coming up and you know what a graduate wants more than finishing school? Presents! It's hard to think of something special, but not to kitschy, to get your grad—below are some gift ideas that are bound to please as much as taking off that gown.

Whether your grad is a guy or a girl, he or she will enjoy displaying and looking through photos from their school years, or try something fun or entertaining to go with a gift certificate.

1. The best way capture new memories in the next stages of life is by getting your grad a Flip Ultra 3rd Generation HD Camcorder (C$79.99).

2. Does your grad like to blast music in the house? Turn it down by pairing your grad's "great taste" in music with some Monster Beats Studio headphones by Dr. Dre (C$349.99) for better sound.

3. What better way to say Congratulations than a 1-line message Graduation Memories Photo Collage Frame (US$39.95)? This is not just any old picture frame, it can be personalized with a one line message.

4. Teach your grad to be more environmentally friendly this summer with I am not a paper cup (US$14.99). Excellent for stuffing a gift certificate in as well.

5. Create your very own book filled with personal pictures of memories with a Photo Book from Chapters Indigo (from C$11.95) you design yourself.

For the ladies...

1. A Diamond Accent Graduation Cap Charm in Sterling Silver from Peoples (C$139.99 on sale) is the perfect piece for her charm bracelet to mark this milestone in her life.

2. Don't have a bracelet yet to start her charm collection? What better way to show her how proud you are of her than by getting her a Tiffany & Co. Disc Charm and Bracelet (Disc Charm C$140, Bracelet C$180.00).

3. Getting ready to go on a graduation trip? Why not get her the stylish Travel Concepts Luggage and Accessories Exotic 4-Piece Hardside Set (US$293.95)

4. Time is of the essence, get your grad a beautiful Fossil Ceramic White Multifunction Dial Watch (US$225.00).

5. Don't know what to get her but you want her to love the gift? Let her go wild stocking up on beauty products at Sephora by getting her a Sephora Gift Card.

For the guys...

1. Nothing suits him better than a suit to wear to job interviews or a summer internship. We like the modern of this Band of Outsiders: Men's Suit Separate Blazer (US$1465) and Men's Suit Separate Pant (US$450), he won't look like he's wearing dad's hand-me-downs.

2. School's over! Treat your grad to a XBOX 360 250GB Console (C$199.99) to blow off some post-exam steam.

3. Remind your grad about the good times that have passed with Bulova Stainless Steel Watch with Diamond Markers (C$395).

4. Keep him financially organized with a Stainless Steel With Grey Cable Money Clip from Peoples (C$39.99 on sale).

5. Why not get him a Kenneth Cole Reaction 15'' Leather Messenger Bag (C$134.97) to prepare for the future, whatever that may be.

Have fun shopping!

Great idea Becky. It made me smile reading the way you guys presented the present to your brother. It's really sweet.

We've been looking (googling) for gift ideas for my brother's grad, and finally came up with an iTouch. We actually ended up getting him an iPhone which he *loved*. My mom wrapped the iPhone, charger cable, wall charger plug, and headphones all separately and she put all of the items into a big box with lots of shredded coloured tissue paper in it. And then wrapped the box in sparkly silver wrapping paper and stuck on a huge sparkly red flower. To top it off we put the box in a Winnie The Pooh gift bag ..lol !! When he saw us walk up to congratulate him with a huge bouquet of flowers and a winnie the pooh gift bag, he literally couldn't wait to go home and open the present. We had to find an empty spot on the grass to stand while he unwrapped it, dug through all the shredded coloured tissue papers to finally find the gift. He was SO blown over. Just the expression on his face was priceless, totally worth it :) I highly recommend iPhone or iPod Touch to the list of gift ideas! :)

It can be really hard to figure out what to buy to mark a milestone like this. I remember my grandpa bought me a wind up music player with a girl in a pink graduation cap and gown on it. It was awful, but awwww, grandpas don't know better.

The Dre beats are a necessary staple in my purse! They drown out all the city noise, and library chatter. I use these all the time, especially for studying! love this gift guide!
