Flat is out, full is in. While you may be applying all manner of mousse, powder, hairspray and backcombing to get that sexy volume you lust for you may be missing that key first step. Well, happy Friday; we've got six shampoos to start your primping process off right, in the shower.

1. BigSexyHair Big Volume Shampoo C$24.95/US$21.83
A concentrated blend of wheat proteins, panthenol and extracts gives the hair extra moisture and body while helping to increase the hair's diameter.

2. Kevin Murphy Angel Wash Shampoo C$29.00/US$22.50
The paraben-free formula cleanses hair with natural ingredients like mango and cocoa butter to moisturize and nurture fine hair without adding unwanted build-up.

3. Dove Volume Therapy Shampoo C$6.15/US$5.00
Contains a unique protecting serum that guards fine, flat hair from daily aggressions. It removes build-up, leaving hair looking healthy and volumized.

4. Aveda Shampure Shampoo C$13.86/US$11.99
Morikue, a plant based protein complex fortifies the hair shaft to revive silky-softness and shine without weighing it down.

5. John Frieda Luxurious Volume C$9.17/US$3.99
Ingredient PPG 9 increases body suppleness at the roots to increase lift for noticeably thicker hair and improves the texture of your hair over all.

6. Sebastian Volupt Shampoo C$14.64/US$15.95
Two micro-particles; microthene and sipernate bind themselves to the hair to raise the cuticles and fill in the gaps, giving hair strong and smooth volume.

Are you looking to add a little lift while you lather? What's your secret to a sexy head of hair?

I've only tried the Dove Shampoo, but i'm definitely going to try others too! I have a big problem with volume because of my stupid straight, fine hair. I hope these work!

Kevin Murphy Angel Wash is my favourite, and it smells so good like a herb garden (but not in a spice rack type of way).

I really want to try the BigSexyHair shampoo. I feel like just the name would be enough to make my hair feel bouncy.
