On The Go Beauty Purse Essentials

With the new school year on the horizon, I was thinking about all the beauty products that travel with you while you're on the go with your busy life.

I always have a few products in a travel makeup bag that help me look my best throughout the day and provide a little pick me up for that 3 pm slump. Even if you aren't heading back to school, this is an excellent guide for an 'on the go' beauty kit or great suggestions to keep in your desk at work!

Here are the products I recommend for your purse essential kit:

1. Cheek and Lips

Carry a multi-tasker product that will do double duty for your cheeks and your lips. A little flush and colour will bring a little life into your face. If nothing else, I do a bold lip for an 'off duty model' look.

1. Becca Beach Tint (C$30.00)

2. Josie Maran Argan Lip & Cheek Color Stick Set (C$41.00)

3. Benefit Cosmetics Gettin' Cheeky! (C$20.00)

2. Moisturizer

I like to always have a thick, do-all moisturizer with me. Something that I can use for dry patches, lips, hands or body. If something this emollient isn't for you, go for a hand cream and lip balm.

1. Kiehl's Lip Balm #1 (C$8.50)

2. eos Hand Lotion in Fresh Flowers (C$3.99)

3. Eucerin Aquaphor Skin Protectant Ointment (C$8.99)

4. Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream (C$5.27)

3. Conceal and Highlight

My concealer definitely starts to fade fast in the afternoon. A little cover up perks me right up and makes me look more awake and alert. I might add some at the top of my cheekbones and underneath my brow for some highlight. If you don't wear concealer on a daily basis, try just carrying a highlighter.

1. L'Oreal True Match Crayon Concealer (US$7.99)

2, Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Matte Concealer (C$40.00)

3. Lorac Double Feature (C$33.00)

4. Nars The Multiple (C$46.00)

4. Emergency Treatment

Eek! A zit? Dry, frizzy hair? Not on my watch. I like to carry a few emergency fixes in my kit for whatever comes my way.

1. Pantene Ultimate 10 BB Creme 10-in-1 Hair Perfector (C$8.99)

2. Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot (C$21.00)

3. e.l.f. Essential Zit Zapper (US$1.00)

4. Batiste On The Go Dry Shampoo (C$4.99)

Batiste is pretty much my go-to with every hairstyle. Not sure how I'd get along without it.

I love the eos lotion, it was so handy for my purse, I just recently ran out, but I will definitely go buy more!

I find the Eucerin cream slightly greasy feeling afterwards.
