Oh 2012, you were indeed good to us. Not only did you provide some seriously sexy eye candy, but you also gave us the unexpected news of a Kimye baby at the very last minute. Those scrumptious delights (hello, Magic Mike anyone?) and baby madness aside, 2012 was also the year of drastic celeb hair makeovers. Celebrities were switching colours, chopping it all off or changing it up to suit their new images and we were there to witness it all! 

Here are our top 5 celeb hair style makeovers for 2012, which ones do you think will stick and which ones do you think should have been left alone? Let us know!

#5: Lindsay Lohan 
 

Lilo is ending the year the same way she started it: with legal troubles. Well, at least her hair will be different right? While Lindsay's been a blonde for quite some time, she decided to try her hand at being a ginger again. At the Liz and Dick premiere (left) she had fiery, auburn hair. We like it better than the blonde for sure, but we're not sure any amount of dye will save her. 

#4: Lady Gaga
 

Miss Gaga is no stranger to crazy colours and styles, but the brunette colour she debuted this year was far more subdued than we were used to seeing. No doubt it's a pretty colour but we're not sure it really makes and impact the way her platinum blonde locks did. We don't think this one will stick around. If we know Gaga, she'll be walking around with pink or purple hair any day now. 

#3: Taylor Swift 


We're used to seeing TayTay with long, curly locks but not too long ago T.Swift got a major fashion overhaul on the cover of Vogue and since then, she's been showing off some serious style. I'm impressed Tay. Keep up the good work! Your sleeker hair is chic and mature and with just a slight nod to mod, you're lookin' good. 

#2: Anne Hathaway 
  

Gone are the days of Anne's long, wavy locks! Anne had to chop off her hair for her recent film, Les Mis and though at first we were doubting if she could pull it off, she's really made the style work for her. With the couture gowns she's been wearing lately, the cropped 'do looks even more stylish and really brings her features to the forefront.
 
#1: Miley Cyrus 
 

Miley definitely has the most dramatic cut on our list. We grew to love Miley's long hair, but this year she made the decision to cut it all off into an edgy, shaved and bleached blonde style. It seemed that people either loved it or hated it. But we say kudos to Miley for being so bold!
