What Does Your Best Face Look Like?

It's a pretty obvious to all of us that washing your face twice a day is critical for clear, healthy-looking skin, especially if, like me, you wear a full face of makeup every day.

Unless of course you like blackheads.

Olay asked me and two of my Style Collective pals, Beauty Editor and Beauty Geeks to swap out the hoard of products we're testing every day from other lines to give theirs a shot for 5 days.  Understand this is a sacrifice for us since it's pretty hard to stay true to one brand for an entire skincare regimen when we have access to so much.

But I did it, I liked it, and most importantly, so did my skin.

Day 1: Olay Wet Cleansing Cloths for Sensitive Skin, $9.99

I loooooved this product.  If I'm exhausted at the end of the day, the cleansing cloths are my first choice.  But my skin is sensitive and I have had reactions to cleansing cloths in the past such as redness, stinging eyes and in one unfortunate case, hives.

The Olay Wet Cleansing Cloths for Sensitive Skin didn't bother me at all; I woke up the next morning with a nice dewy glow to my skin.  I especially liked how effective they were at removing makeup.

The cloths have a "lift and lock" texture that holds onto dirt, makeup, and even waterproof mascara - and we all know how stubborn that can be!

Day 2: Olay Foaming Face Wash (Sensitive), $11.99 & Olay Oil Minimizing Toner, $9.99

The Foaming Face Wash was one of my faves from the line.  No unnecessary scent, zero irritation--just nice, soft cleansing goodness.  Like the cleansing cloths, this product packs some punch when it comes to removing a full face of makeup.  No problems, no redness.

I followed it with the Minimizing Toner, which left my skin feeling refreshed.  It's a nice neutral toner for any skin type.

Day 3: Olay Pore Minimizing Cleanser + Scrub, $12.99

I'll admit I picked this one for the packaging.  The swirling layers of deep cleansing and exfoliating Microbead ribbons look pretty, don't you agree?  Its oil-free formula delivers a very soft, delicate sloughing of the skin that doesn't feel too aggressive or harsh.

Though skin gurus say you should only exfoliate 1-2 times a week, I ended up using this considerably more because I like the look and feel of the product.  Thankfully, only positive results to report!

Day 4: Olay Foaming Face Wash (Sensitive), $11.99

I'll admit - I used the sensitive Foaming Face Wash again.  As you can see, today was sort of a blue-eyeshadow day and I wanted to take off every last trace of it in the evening in the most delicate way possible.  When I'm not feeling lazy, this is my favourite product of the bunch.

Day 5: Olay 2-in-1 Daily Facial Cloths, $8.99

I was lazy today, so it was all about the 2-in-1 Daily Facial Cloths.  Last night's drooly, sleepy-eyed face was refreshed in seconds with one cloth.  (And, of course a shower.)  At night, I used the 2-in-1 Cloths again and my skin felt so soft I opted to skip the moisturizer.

My 5 day trial is over and I'm still reaching for the products with the cheery blue packaging.  My skin looks great, blemish-free and not a hive in sight!

@ LaurenBlair - you are too kind. I actually failed to mention here that my skin is experiencing a lot of pigmentation right now, which is a side effects of all of the hormones you encounter through pregnancy. I have blotches and freckles all over the place. They call it "pregnancy mask". I didn't touch up the photos here because I wanted the pictures to be authentic, but my skin is definitely clean!

@MissLissa and @ Becky - the wipes are awesome. I've used many different brands and find they are often lacking in removing eye makeup - especially mascara. I'm not one to bother with separate eye makeup remover.

Ali your skin's glowing! I love Olay and so does my mom. Out of all the brands she tries, she always comes back to this. Her fav is the regenerist line, and mine is the cleansing cloths! I am such a lazy bum, the cleansing cloths are a total life saver! I already use the Olay cleansing cloths... I wonder if the new packaging ones are any different? I actually like the new packaging. The cheerful fresh looking colours are so nice, and un-utilitarian!

I'm a fan of cleansing wipes, especially if they can take off the hard to remove makeup from the day. I'm definitely picking some up this week. I think the packaging is quite cute.

I actually quite like the new packaging! But that aside, the products are top notch. Great results for the price. :)

Gotta say, I am not crazy about the new Olay packaging it looks cheap. I am a fan of Olay, use some of their products. But for cleansing wipes, I turn to the Kirkland Brand that's sold at Costco, super cheap and just as good. :)
