Yay or Nay: Jennifer Morrison Red Carpet Menswear

As a guilty pleasure fan of the show Once Upon A Time, I'm actually a kind of a closeted Jennifer Morrison fan. I like her cute, unique style and her tough as nails attitude, which is why when I saw her rock a men's suit on the red carpet, I was pretty impressed with her moxie.

I'm usually not a fan of women doing menswear, it always feels a bit like a novelty and too kitschy to me. However, I'm inclined to give a 'Well, played' nod to Ms. Morrison here for this androgynous look. I think it works mostly because she's contrasted her masculine look with very feminine makeup and hair. That crimson pout is gorgeous with her porcelain skin and her milkmaid-esque braid goes surprisingly well with her suit.

There is one thing that seriously bugs me about this look: the cut. It feels way too bulky and casual to me. I would have loved to have seen Jennifer is something a little sleeker and fitted to show off a bit of curve. However, when it comes to fashion, I think everyone should just go for it and have fun with it! Never play it safe! So, for this menswear look, I am going to give Jennifer a pass.

What do you think? Is this gender bending outfit a yay or nay? Leave a comment with your vote by April 29th for a chance to win!

Yay! She really carries the look off well. I love the sophistication of the look, paired with her summer hairstyle.

This outfit can go either way. Bad or good. As a suit can be a fashion risk, but that is why it is so brilliant. It shows the sleek and cool style that is Mad Men. I am all for the gender bending outfit. Jennifer Morrison certainly presents how confident she is and that it doesn't matter what other thinks about her. She can dress in anything and still be true to herself and on the plus side, be awesome.

Nay for me. Although she looks tidy and put together, I just see 'costume' when a woman wears a full on mens suit. A touch of masculine mixed with the feminine is more interesting to me.

I'm going to say nay on this one. She's lovely, but I think she could do better than this.

Nay - it's way too masculine.
