I used to be all about flavour & how long a granola bar filled me up. Recently, I've tried making small changes to my diet in an effort to make healthier choices overall, so I purchased my first box of Made Good granola bars. I must say that I was quite impressed! I didn't feel like I was compromising on taste at all. And although it didn't tie me over completely until dinner (as I usually eat granola bars as an afternoon snack), it did fill me up more than most typical bars of similar size. I attribute that to it being made more of whole foods/healthier ingredients than say a traditional Quaker chocolate chip granola bar. It was a little bit chewier than most granola bars, but I'm okay with that. -

The box claims that it's 'gourmet' which couldn't be farther from the truth! Obviously I don't eat a frozen meal actually expecting it to be gourmet, but this is quite possibly the worst frozen meal I've ever had. The sauce itself isn't terrible... +

Obviously I don't eat a frozen meal actually expecting it to be gourmet, but this is quite possibly the worst frozen meal I've ever had. The sauce itself isn't terrible, but just about everything else about it is awful. The quality in general feels like you're eating scraps. The chicken is substandard & has a funky flavour that makes it seem like it's going bad. The broccoli is 80% stems, almost no florets. And the rice doesn't cook properly as it comes out of the microwave still a bit hard. Not to mention I'm pretty sure eating this for lunch got me sick. -

I absolutely love Roc's Pro-Cleanse extra gentle facial cleanser! I'm in my late 20's & still deal with pimples on a regular basis, but since using this product, my skin's the best it's ever been! The only reason I didn't give it a perfect star... +
I absolutely love Roc's Pro-Cleanse extra gentle facial cleanser! I'm in my late 20's & still deal with pimples on a regular basis, but since using this product, my skin's the best it's ever been! The only reason I didn't give it a perfect star rating is because it's more money than I like to spend, but it's worth it. Not only is the gel great quality, but so is the pump. It dispenses the perfect amount every time, right down to the very bottom of the bottle, so there's no waste. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find this product in stores again, so I really hope it hasn't been discontinued! -

For a granola that's labelled as crispy, it's anything but! Normally I'm a Special K fan, but this product does not even come close to the standards I'm used to them delivering. Considering the brand name is Special K, you'd think there'd be a bit of Special K cereal flakes in it, but that's a very wrong assumption. In fact, it has a bunch of other cereals instead! The oats are okay (although bland), but the Rice Krispies get soggy pretty quickly. I'm used to packing a yogourt parfait in the morning & eating it about 15 minutes later at my desk. Every other granola I've tried can stay crunchy at least that long, & usually much longer. This stuff went soft almost immediately! There are no clumps to hold anything together, so you're just left with a mushy sprinkle of random ingredients. I can see that some people would appreciate the dried berries & although they weren't particularly bad for dehydrated fruit, I'll stick with only fresh fruit from now on. -

I tried these PowerBar ProteinPlus bars as part of the Chick Advisor program & was quite satisfied overall. Chocolate is my go-to flavour for just about anything, so I was really happy that I #gotitfree. I do find that a lot of healthier food options that come in chocolate &/or peanut butter variety end up tasting pretty fake, but I didn't find that to be the case with these protein bars, so that exceeded my expectations. There was a subtle hint of a crunch to it, but I would've personally liked to feel the texture of a few peanuts as well. -

I was lucky enough & #gotitfree from a Chick Advisor review club. I'm really glad I tried this flavour because it was unexpectedly delicious! I wouldn't normally gravitate towards this flavour, so without this trial, I probably never would have chosen it, & now I know that it is worthwhile. I found the flavours to be quite authentic compared to most protein bars (others I've tried have very obviously simulated flavours, this did not). I didn't find it too heavy, but it was definitely filling enough to keep me going through the afternoon. I can see this being a great snack to bring along on hiking or fishing days to tie me over to my next meal. The one suggestion I'd have if PowderBar is looking to improve this product is the addition of texture. It was quite smooth, which some people might like & I didn't mind, but would prefer if it had a little crunch or something. #PowerBarReducedSugar -

I recently tried L'Oreal's Extra Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner for the 1st time & was absolutely thrilled with the results! I was shocked at how smoothly it applied, as it just glided across my lids with ease. At 1st this worried me because I thought it meant it would also come off as easily as it went on. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that after the end of each work day, it had barely budged. There was a little bit of smudging above my lids after being outside in the sun for a while on the weekend, but that is 100% normal for me as my lids tend to get greasy throughout the day, especially in heat. So I really can't blame that on the liner as I've never found an eyeliner that can completely prevent that, but this is certainly as good, if not better than I can hope for. -

Batiste Dry Shampoo Lotus is the ideal product for those extra busy days. I was fortunate enough to be chosen for this review club & #gotitfree from Chick Advisor! I usually wash my hair every other evening, but like many other women, sometimes life just gets too busy to take care of ourselves the way we'd like to. So Batiste has made a range of dry shampoos, any of which I would trust to get the job done when there simply isn't time to really wash my hair. The Lotus product is one that I quite enjoy & will definitely consider buying in the future. However, I might also choose to try one of the other types of dry shampoo that Batiste has to offer, since there are several to choose from!
This is also a great new tool to have on hand not only for days that are too busy to wash, but to extend the life of my hairstyle. Sometimes I don't have the time or energy to both shampoo, blow dry, & straighten or curl my hair, & I often end up choosing to just wash & go with my hair still wet in a ponytail. But Batiste lets me keep my tamed locks longer without feeling greasy. Not to mention, it's perfect for those days where my hair might look fine in the morning, but because my last shampoo was 2.5 days ago, by the end of the day it gets gross.
Thank you Batiste for giving me back my time & style!

I received the shade Paaarty as a birthday gift from Sephora & it's a great everyday blush. The colour is a nice, natural looking pale pink with the perfect amount of pigmentation. It wears well throughout the day & is quickly becoming my go-to product in the morning, especially for the office, but I'm sure it would also work well with other makeup styles for evenings & weekends. It compliments my skin tone & type really well, & I feel like it would be easy wearing for a wide variety of other skin as well. -
