Hellmann's Light with Olive Oil Mayonnaise
Since trying Hellmann's light with olive oil, this is my go-to mayonnaise. Same great taste, but a healthier option I can feel good about! Although I still like their original light mayo, I will continue to choose this variety whenever available.

I received a package of Adrien Gagnon Decadent Fudge Nutriforme Bars as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. These bars are pretty dense, & I found that they made me feel full quick, but didn't maintain a satisfied feeling for very long. As a snack, I would eat 1/2 a bar if I knew that my next real meal would be in about 2 hours. The chocolate flavour had that really fake taste that some 'healthy chocolate' has, & I'm not a fan. Even though it had more nutrients than a lot of bars, I can’t see myself actually replacing meals with it because it’s not nearly satisfying enough to substitute for lunch, & it’s too sweet for breakfast. Yet I wouldn’t feel healthy or that I’m doing myself any favours eating it as a snack because it’s too much. -

I received samples of Energex through the Chick Advisor Product Review Club & was pretty hesitant to use them. The tubes reminded me more of a lab experiment than a food product. Everything about them seemed like medicine more than anything else. The appearance, packaging, colour, smell, taste, the 'consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 1 month' note - everything about it was odd. The scent & flavour wasn’t particularly bad, just really weird. Once I tried to get over the initial strange 1st impression & tried to focus on the results, I’m still a little uncertain of my opinion. I almost never drink coffee or other caffeinated beverages, so I have very little tolerance to energy-inducing ingredients. Therefore it’s hard for me to compare, but I did notice a pretty quick spike in alertness. I wasn’t fond of it as it felt like a dirty energy & I thought I would crash hard after. Thankfully it tapered down much slower than expected, but I have no intention of continuing to use it this product. -

And because it's cold, I can enjoy it even more on a hot day, while switching it up from my typical ice cream or popsicle desserts in the summer. -

I absolutely LOVE these new granola bars! So far I've just tried the dark chocolate chunks & almonds flavour, which I will definitely get again soon, but I'm also excited to try out their other flavours. The combination of ingredients tastes so good, yet because it's gluten free & has no artificial flavours or colours, I can feel good about what I'm eating. And since it's packed with nuts & whole grain oats, it's the perfect afternoon snack to keep me satisfied until dinner. -
C. Booth Nourishing Bath & Body Wash

When shopping recently, I noticed this body wash I hadn't tried before with a free mail-in rebate offer on the bottle. Naturally I was curious & excited to try something new for free! I grabbed the honey almond scent & oh my god does it ever smell amazing!!! Not only does it smell divine while using it, but the scent lingers for a while after getting out of the shower - making our bathroom smell like heaven. Although I'm not familiar with the C. Booth brand, the ingredients they use seem in keeping with their 'natural' claims. As a body wash, it works well, but the only thing holding me back from possibly purchasing it again in the future is the price. It doesn't come at an outrageous cost, but it is more than I typically like to spend, & the bottle isn't huge. So far I've only tried it as a body wash, but apparently you can also add some to running water for a luxurious bath. Given the lathering I've seen on my loofa, I'm not sure that it would create many bubbles, but it would still probably make for a soothing bath. -

I just tried these for the 1st time & ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM! I can't believe I've never tried them before, because I will definitely be buying them again! The flavour combination was so delicious, with a perfectly balanced texture. I was a bit skeptical that the chocolate might taste fake since it's a better for you bar, but the top fudgey layer was utterly scrumptious! You can taste the coconut, but it wasn't overwhelming. So if you don't like coconut very much, you might still like these granola bars. I like that I can trust the Kashi name for being healthier than a lot of other options out there, yet they aren't outrageously priced either. -

I absolutely love the taste of the dark chocolate peanut butter flavour! I found that most better-for-you snack bars have a really fake taste, but this one has whole foods which actually taste great! However, it is EXTREMELY CHEWY. So much so that it made my jaw tired & I was concerned that it would make my currently dormant acute TMJ act up. Thankfully it didn't, but for that reason (& the high cost), I will not likely buy these bars in the future. -

Bombshell Volume mascara does give lashes a full look, & lengthens a fair bit. However, I found it to be clumpy & take longer to dry than most other mascaras I've tried. Because of this, I sometimes ended up with pigment transferred above my lid. And if I'd close my eyes for longer than a blink within 10 minutes of applying, it would transfer onto my bottom lashes & feel like the tops were getting glued onto them, making it harder to reopen my eyes! Then once it did dry, my lashes were left feeling dry & brittle.
The other strange issue I had was how well it stayed on. At 1st this may sound like a good thing, but when it comes to removing the mascara at the end of the day, it was a pain. There were a couple of times when I washed my face in the shower & tried removing even just part of the mascara gently with water, & I ended up with 3 lashes falling out both times! I also tried using pre-moistened facial cleansing towelettes, & they hardly removed anything either. So you have to be very cautious & use proper makeup remover every time.
I will finish off the sample tube I received & wear it on weekends, but between the extra careful removing technique, & the 2-step process to apply, it's too much hassle to wear everyday.
