The permanent hem bonding strips are a simple idea, yet innovative because of how effective they are. It is a very straight-forward product to use with good end results. Similarly to my review of the temporary hem strips, I do recommend having a second person around to help measure & mark the desired finished length so it ends up exactly where you want. I haven't had a chance yet to see how well it holds up after washing, but if it truly does last through multiple cold cycles, I think this is a great solution at a fair price. Even though I'm sure it's a very inexpensive product for the manufacturer to make, when you compare it to the cost of taking clothing to a seamstress to hem, you can get a lot of pants & skirts done for the price of 1 professional hemming. That being said, I wouldn't suggest using these bonding strips on jeans or pants with a cuff because it changes the appearance to what I consider to look unfinished. -

I think this product is great to have on hand for wardrobe malfunctions, but that's about it. I really can see the Easy Fix Button kit as something great to keep in your purse or car for those unpredictable moments where you suddenly find yourself missing a button. However, I only see it as a temporary fix, not a permanent solution. My main reasoning for this is because of how uncomfortable the backs are. They're so bulky that the only spot I could tolerate wearing it is on a missing button by my cleavage, where it wouldn't touch my skin. I hoped to replace a missing button on the elbow of my 3/4 sleeve cardigan, but as soon as I put it on, I had to take it off right away. Not only was it itching my elbow, but it was visibly protruding out much further than the adjacent original buttons, so I decided that 1 missing decorative button was the better option. That being said, these truly are an easy fix buttons, & the fact that it only takes a matter of seconds to do, it is a handy thing to have. -

I was so happy when I found out that I was chosen to be part of the review panel for Scotch Essentials instant tailoring solutions! The adjustable hem tape is the 1 that I was most looking forward to trying out because I have a pair of high waisted dress pants that I love to wear with various pairs of shoes. They came the perfect length for my stilettos & other high heels, but were constantly getting dirty from touching the floor & sometimes even caught on the bottom of my lower wedges. So I tried the adjustable hem tape & was very pleased with how quick & easy it was to use. I've only had a chance to wear them once so far, so I can't yet tell how well they will last through a few uses before they need to be washed, but I would be quite surprised if they didn't hold up a couple more days because there were no signs of loosening up after the first day.
I do have a few tips though when using this product:
- The tape comes at about 3/4" wide, so if you're looking to hem less than an inch, you'll have to cut the tape horizontally. (I haven't tried this though, so I'm not sure how well it will work.)
- If you're a perfectionist, I suggest getting another person to help you measure the hem length. That way you can wear the clothes in front of a mirror while they play with different heights & mark where you want it to end up. Not that it can't be done on your own, but it might not end up exactly where you want it (especially with pants because you have to bend so far down to adjust them when on, & that bending changes the effect).
All in all, I do like this product. However, I'm not convinced that I'll buy it in the future because the cost to buy compared to what I can imagine the cost to produce is, must allow for ridiculously high profit margins. It's essentially just double-sided tape cut into strips, so considering I needed 8 strips of tape to hem my pants for only a couple of days, I think I'd rather just pick one hem length & stick with it.

I tried the moisture line of Herbal Essences Naked collection & it exceeded my expectations. However, my expectations weren't exactly high. I typically use salon brand shampoo & conditioner, so taking into account that I'm comparing this shampoo to others at a much higher price point, I could tell that it's not as good as those, but the difference wasn't dramatically worse either. I didn't see a noticeable improvement in my damaged hair, nor did I see it worsen. So although it performed decently, the 1 thing that stood out to me that I didn't like was the masculine smell. The scent itself wasn't offensive, it just seems best suited to a male-targeted brand rather than 1 that's aiming at both male & female consumers. Perhaps it's the nature of 'naked' products since they're trying to avoid unnatural additives, but I think I'll let my husband use up the rest of the bottle. -

After using nothing but Secret Clear Gel for about 2 weeks now, I am relatively impressed with the product's performance. The weather's been pretty hot lately & it stood up to the test for the majority. The only time I found that it didn't withstand the pressure was 1 day when I produced stress sweat & I could feel the perspiration (+ see it a bit when I lifted my arm in front of the bathroom mirror). However, from what I could tell, even when the antiperspirant couldn't stand up, the deodorizer still did its job. Although it does work well, I have to say that it's not ideal for me simply because I really don't like the wet feeling when it goes on. I'm used to invisible solid antiperspirant which I apply after I've already gotten dressed & can go right away. But with the clear gel, I find that I have to apply it before putting my clothes on & then wait a minute or two before I can put on my shirt. I've also tried putting it on after getting dressed, but then half of the clear gel seems to end up directly on the armpit of my clothes. So I can see this being a great product for people who are used to this already, but personally I think that basic hygiene products should cater to me, not require me to change my routine in order to use them properly. I will continue to use this product until I run out, but do not foresee myself buying it in the future solely for this reason. -

This is my second day using LashBlast Fusion mascara & I can already tell that I will enjoy using it for my everyday routine. It's a great product that goes well with my daytime makeup, especially when I want a subtle lift & natural look for the office. However, it's not dramatic enough for my evening & weekend looks. I do have naturally long, dark, & thick lashes, so I found that LashBlast Fusion mascara didn't enhance them as much as some other mascaras I've tried. Although, as previously stated, it is still good for everyday. Also, I'm used to wands that have longer bristles, so the short bristles on this wand took a little bit of getting used to. But once I did (& it really didn't take long), I appreciated them more because I haven't had any issues with clumping so far, & I really love that. -

I received my Ninja Duo Blender Auto-IQ as part of Canadian Tire's Tested for Life program, & was thrilled when I saw it arrive. But what I'm even more thrilled about is how instantly I fell in love with this product! It's a powerful machine that has so many great Auto-IQ programs, each perfect for a different use. Yet, you can also pause or stop a program at any time & customize it to your exact liking. It even comes with a timer counting down how many seconds remain in the selected cycle. Although there are several different options to choose from, it also isn't too complicated, making it very user friendly.
My favourite uses for the Ninja are breakfast smoothies & frozen cocktails on the weekend. It used to take me 10 minutes to make a daiquiri with my old blender, but now with my Ninja Duo it crushes ice in seconds & mixes drinks to perfection! Plus I can use my Ninja as often as I want without the dreaded cleanup that comes with lots of other blenders, because all of the parts (except for the motor base of course) are dishwasher safe! I LOVE my Ninja & would recommend it to anyone!
The only reason I wouldn't buy this blender again is because I hope it lasts for many many more years!

Just tried this for the 1st time last week because the store was out of my usual black eyeliner, & I am SOOOO glad I got it! This is by far the best eyeliner I've used in a very long time, if not the best ever. It glides on effortlessly with precise, smooth lines. The best part of it for me as that it really does last all day. My eyelids tend to cause creasing & smudging very easily, but I haven't experienced that at all yet with Liquiline Blast. It lasts me all day long, even in the early summer heat waves. Not to mention, it's a very reasonable price (about $7-$8 @ Walmart). I LOVE this product, would highly recommend to anyone, & it is definitely my new favourite that I'll be buying from now on! -
