I received the Aveeno Ultra-Calming Hydrating Gel Cleanser for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product review club. I am always looking for a cleansing gel (no soap for my sensitive skin...way too drying) and was happy to find that Aveeno's is not only soap free, but fragrance free and hypoallergenic. It lathered up with very little water, and managed to take off a full day's worth of makeup, dirt and debris with ease. It left my skin feeling super clean, but most importantly not dry or dull. I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family. -

I received the Aveeno Ultra=Calming Daily Moisturizer with SPF 30 for free as part of the ChickAdvisor product review club. I was excited to try a daily moisturizer for sensitive skin that has an SPF of 30. Many of the moisturizers on the market with that level of SPF aren't great for people with sensitive skin. This one was fast absorbing, making it easy to wear under makeup. It is fragrance free, another plus for sensitive skin and people who just don't want their makeup to give off a scent and it was soothing. I did find it a little sticky at first, but it didn't interfere with makeup application. I am looking forward to wearing this daily and not having to worry about being out in the sun without protection. I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family. -

I received the Powerbar Plant Protein Cashew, Salted Caramel and Dark Chocolate bar for free from ChickAdvisor as part of their product review club opportunity. I was very excited to try a plant based protein bar. I am not vegetarian or vegan, but do try to incorporate as many plant based meals/snacks as possible into my day. I also love cashews and dark chocolate so how could I not love this bar? Well, at 230 calories per bar this is more of a meal replacement than a snack/post workout option. My biggest concern was the fact that the bar has only 10grams of protein (on the low side for a protein bar) and an equal number of grams of sugar 10grams!!! That is crazy! Add to that 12grams of fat and this is not something I will ever buy or eat again. For a bar that is labeled as cashew, salted caramel and dark chocolate it was really sweet. Too sweet for my taste buds. I would be better off eating a chocolate bar and not pretending I am eating something healthy. -

I received the Powerbar Plant Protein Almond, Sea Salt and Dark Chocolate bar for free from ChickAdvisor as part of their product review club opportunity. I received the Nude By Nature Radiant Loose Powder Foundation for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product review club opportunity. This powder foundation is great! It goes onto the skin easily, provides a light coverage and blends really well. The texture is very light and doesn’t leave that heavy feeling on your skin like some other powder foundations. I found it helped to even out my skin tone, but didn’t eliminate all of my redness. I would definitely buy this product and recommend it to friends and family. -

I received the Nude By Nature Mineral Brush 11 for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club Opportunity. Nude by Nature Mineral Brush 11 is a wonderful brush. It applies powder foundation flawlessly and evenly to your face. The bristles are soft on your face and don’t scratch your skin. The brush cleans easily and when left to dry the brush keeps it’s shape. I would definitely buy this brush (doubt I will have to as it seems like it will last forever) and would recommend it to friends and family! -

I received the Nude By Nature Perfect Primer for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product review club opportunity. The primer has a great scent to it, which coming from someone who usually dislikes the scent of most cosmetics, is high praise! The primer went on well, absorbed quickly and left a smooth feeling. Any makeup applied after it, powder, liquid foundation, concealer, etc all went on well and stayed on throughout the day. I found that if I was trying to cover a particularly stubborn spot - i.e., a pimple I didn't get the perfect coverage I was looking for. The price for the size of the container is a little high, and it might prevent me from buying the product in the future. However, I would recommend this product to my friends. -

I received the Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher in Dark Brown for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product review club. I waited until my grey roots started to show and then eagerly followed the directions given to use the product. Even with holding the can at the recommended distance of 10 cm and applying soft pressure (as directed) the spray ended up flying everywhere! I had dark brown dots on my forehead, hand and scalp. I then tried removing these spots and needed nail polish remover to get them off my hand and forehead. My scalp wouldn't come clean. The product also left a dry, dull residue (similar to when you use too much dry shampoo). The product did cover my grey roots, but even if I could master applying it without covering my scalp and other body parts, I still didn't love the look when it was done. The dry, dull residue, which still managed to come off onto my fingers for sometime after applying, wasn't the look I wanted. All in all, I wouldn't waste my money on this product as it is too difficult to achieve a good look quickly. Less work to go and buy a box of root touch up or hair dye and I know the results are what I want. I won't be recommending this product to anyone or buying it myself. #GOTITFREE -

The top coat on its own is a clear coloured polish that goes on smoothly and dries fairly quickly. Unfortunately, when I use the entire system, base coat, nail lacquer, and top coat, my colour started to chip after the second day. I don't know if this is a problem with the base, nail lacquer or top coat. Or maybe the whole 3 step system. As a result I can't recommend any of the products in this 3 step system. -
