I tried this deodorant courtesy of Chick Advisor. The fragrance is beautiful, subtle and I was surprised you could actually detect both the rose and the pepper, so unique and natural smelling. The formula goes on smoothly and I didn't experience any crumbly, white residue. It's s super gentle causing no irritation or dryness (it's infused with hemp oil). It worked all day, even while working in the garden on a hot day. What more could you want? Throw in vegan and cruelty-free and you've got an amazing product that is worth a repeat purchase! -

I had the chance to try a Becel unsalted plant based brick recently courtesy of Family Rated. It's ideal if you are vegan or have a dairy allergy. I've been using it on toast, on veggies, anywhere you'd use butter. It spreads easily and has a good flavour (although a salted version is probably better for toast!) Today I used it to make banana bread and it works perfectly for baking, blending nicely and completely taking the place of butter with no issues.
If you don't use dairy products like me or you'd like to cut back, give this a try (it comes in salted as well).

The Batiste waterless cleansing foam is an interesting idea and I certainly like the idea of using this over a spray as it seems it would be more moisturizing. It goes on sort of wet, but it really does dry quickly, So that's not an issue. I'm not the biggest fan of this hibiscus scent as I find it a little artificial and strong. It did make my hair feel soft moisturized and clean though, so it definitely delivers on the refresh.
I was under the impression that this company was cruelty free. I'm pretty sure that used to have some labelling to that effect on their cans. Having said that I see nothing of the sort on this can. Therefore, I cannot recommend this as I make it a point to use cruelty-free products. This will not be getting added to my regular routine.

This mask for me was just OK. It spreads nicely, is creamy (it's not like a drying clay mask) and smells really good. Unfortunately, as with the Pumpkin one, this one made my skin feel kind of irritated and red. I suspect it was either the alcohol or the added scent in the product. I'm not usually super sensitive so I was surprised by this reaction. It's easy to use and less messy than the drying masks. I do find the container quite small although a little goes a long way.
This one isn't for me due to being irritating and less natural than I thought it would be.

I received this mask free courtesy of Chick Advisor for review. This mask seems to be a very natural product based on how it is described but it actually seems to have a number of chemical ingredients in it. Unfortunately, these seemed to irritate my skin which surprised me! It does contain alcohol so I suspect that might be the culprit. Alcohol will make your skin feel "tighter" but it's not a good tight. In my case, it kind of stung. It was a very light textured product and spread on well. It smells very nice, but this might also be what bothered my skin (as it seems to be quite strongly scented). I could do without the added scent.
Ultimately, this one made me kind of red and irritated feeling. Something in it definitely disagreed with my skin.

I recently had the chance to try Dove 0% Aluminium Deodorant in Coconut and Pink Jasmine scent. First, I love that the scent is very light and feminine. It smells fresh but doesn't compete with your perfume if you wear any. It's in stick form, which I personally prefer to aerosol, and it goes on very smoothly and evenly. It is also designed to be gentle on underarm skin, containing no irritating alcohol, it didn't sting when applying after shaving.
Obviously the most important feature of the product is the lack of aluminium. Having said that, deodorants don't typically contain this ingredient; it is the primary component of anti-perspirants as it's what stops the sweating. So I'm thinking this is more of a marketing ploy than an actual, toutable feature (think of certain fast food restaurants featuring hormone free beef, when in fact ALL Canadian beef is hormone free). Perhaps it's designed to attract those worried about Aluminium. As a result, you'll want to keep in mind this is not an anti-perspirant; if sweating is a concern, this probably won't be the product for you.
Overall, this product does a great job at preventing body odour throughout the day without excessive perfumes. On a side note, Dove itself is certified cruelty-free by Peta, (but their parent company Unilever does sell some products in China, where animal testing is required by law).

I was pleased to be given the opportunity to try Arm and Hammer Cloud Control Litter as I have 3 cats so finding litter that does the job is a must. This one worked great! I noticed a reduction in the dusty layer that tends to settle around the litter area with other brands. There was no poof of dust when filling the box either.
The product also clumps effectively making clean up easy. In terms of scent, the product has a very light fragrance, nothing sickening or overpowering. It seemed to control odor well. I also noted the texture was quite fine which is probably a good thing if you have a fussy cat who might not like a coarser textured litter.
I definitely recommend this; I was impressed with how it does exactly what it says it will: no dustiness from using this litter! And the cats had no issues with the change either!

I recently tried this retinol "oil" courtesy of Chick Advisor in conjunction with the Neutrogena Prep Cleanser. Unfortunately I didn't find this product to be anything noteworthy and at $38.99 from Shopper's Drug Mart, there are many more effective options for a lot less money.
The bottle has an awkward dispenser that was tricky to fill with enough product; possibly I just received a damaged dispenser? Smoothing the product on I found it had a bit of a greasy texture and sat on my skin for longer than I would have liked. There are warnings on the bottle that you may experience mild tingling or flaking, which is normal for a retinol product but I didn't experience anything. It made me wonder if the product actually contains an adequate amount of retinol or if my skin is just accustomed to retinol products. The product is also scented, a possible irritant that is completely unnecessary in skin care, you don't need your face to smell good!
After a week of use, I didn't notice any discernible change that could be attributed to this product. I can't recommend this product for the price.

I recently had the opportunity to try the Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Prep Cleanser. This is a decent cleanser containing non plastic microbeads for gentle exfoliation. It did leave my face feeling clean & Fresh and after using for a week I would say my skin was softer and smoother. I was disappointed that it contain fragrance however, as this can be irritating in a skincare product and is completely unnecessary. I also felt that I had to take extra care in rinsing as it seemed to leave a bit of a film on my face. Having said that, once it was rinsed, my skin felt good.
My greatest disappointment in this brand is the fact that although they claim to be cruelty free and likely technically are in North America, they do fund animal testing on their products in China as it is a requirement to sell there. This discourages me from using their products as there are many companies out there with products that are equally good that do not sell in China or do animal testing.
My overall impression is that this is a decent cleanser that does what it is intended to do. Removing the fragrance would make it even better in my books.
