Through my many experiments in beauty, I have come to realise that there are a few looks that no matter what the year or season, will come back again and again in some form. Without fail, we will see a smoky eye and of course, there will be a bold lip. However, it's far from boring because there is a reason these looks keep coming back every year. They're tried, tested, true and gorgeous.

We came up with a list and some breath taking examples of these classic looks. These are especially great for when you find yourself in a beauty rut and you need some inspiration! In no particular order, here are our top 10 essential beauty looks that every lady needs to try at least once. Consider this your beauty bingo card! With my very pale skin tone I think it would look a little too Goth for my comfort level. I might try the orange lip, though I'm really not sure I have the colouring for that either. I tend to wear cooler tones usually.
