5 Ways to Use Bio-Oil (Aside From Stretch Marks)

Bio-Oil is the best selling scar and stretch mark product in 11 countries, but as we've recently discovered, it has many more uses!  Here are a number of surprising ways you've probably never even thought of using it before (well, at least we didn't).

Eye Make Up Remover: Not only is Bio-Oil effective in removing eye makeup (even waterproof formulas), it will moisturize your very sensitive eye area and condition your lashes!

Hair Treatments: If you have dry hair and split ends from years of dyeing your hair like me, then a Bio-Oil hair treatment might be exactly what you need. Pour a small amount into the palm of your hand, warm it up between your hands, and apply to your ends. Apply it to dry hair before bed and then wash in the morning. Or, put it on hair after styling to tame frizz and soften ends.

Cuticle Softener: Even if your nails are perfectly painted, dry cuticles can ruin the entire manicure. Try Bio-Oil as a cuticle treatment to soften them; if you're using an orange stick with your manicure, this will make your cuticles easier to push up.

For Travel: After a day at the beach, even the best of us may get a little too much sun. Bio-Oil can be used to soothe burnt skin and replenish moisture. As an added bonus, it relieves those itchy mosquito bites too!

In Your Make-Up Kit: Bio-Oil is a great addition to your cosmetics bag, here are a few tips and tricks.
- Mix with an illuminator or any creamy blush with sheen, using a fan brush, sweep on the cheekbones, nose or forehead to give a dewy complexion.
- Bio-Oil can be used as a primer because it makes skin soft. Makeup can be applied smoothly over top once it's absorbed into the skin.
- For a little pick-me-up, mix cold water with a few drops of Bio-Oil. Put the mixture into a spray bottle and spritz your face for a little refresher.

Can you think of anymore uses for Bio-Oil? Let us know in the comments below, the best tip or trick will win a bottle of Bio-Oil!

I slather it on my feet at night and then wrap them with saran wrap and it keeps my feet smooth and soft. Especially great for summertime when you're wearing sandals a lot. No one likes crusty feet!

I used this on my c-section scar, but kept forgetting to apply daily. Needless to say, I did not experience any changes that I could be sure came from the Bio Oil. Best results come with good habits! So do as I say, not as I did...

I actually just started using this! Bio Oil is a really good moisturizer, (I've been using it on my cuticles like you guys mentioned, plus hands and feet and elbows when my regular moisturizer isn't enough). I love how it makes my skin look dewy and radiant, so it's definitely good for summer when you're showing more skin. Also, it works nicely as a massage oil too!

I got this for my boyfriend before because he has some acne scars on his face. He was lazy about it though and didn't really use it. Has anyone tried it with acne scars and does it actually work?
