Makeup Transformation: Under-Eye-Shadow

Posted by ChickAdvisor Team | Monday September 5, 201139 comments
Why not try something new today? Instead of the waterline-eyeliner combo, lets try adding some colour to our lower lash line! Us girls at the ChickAdvisor Office decided to try putting more pop into our eyes.

Michelle added some gold under her eyes, similar to the metallic eyeshadow that we have used in the past. This time, she added it onto her lower eye line to pop her eyes out more. Don't they look bigger? The products that she used are from L.A. Colors 5 Color Metallic Eyeshadow in gold.

How dramatic are Alexandra's eyes? By using NYX Eyeshadow in Cherry and Joe Fresh Eyeshadow in black, Alexandra extended her eyes for a more winged look.

Tammy looks like she's ready for a night out after her makeup transformation! By using Annabelle Smoothie Eyeshadow Pencil in Purple, she lined her bottom line and a little more in her eyelid crease to create a dramatic effect.

Will you be trying this Under-Eye-Shadow trend? What colours would you use? Leave us a comment before September 12th and you can win a prize!

I like Tammys look the best ... I would not do this, as I have tried it and it just ends up looking like I was just crying or something smudgy that should not be there !!! I do love the look tho, not everyone can pull it off.

I have smaller eyes which are made even smaller by my glasses, I find that by using color under the eye it really closes them up. So as much as I like the look I just can't pull it off on myself. :(

I've always liked putting bright eyeliner under my eyes. Just remember to go more simple with the makeup on your lids though, because if you want that to be the WOW factor, you don't want to look too overdone. I usually do a bright purple, bright blue or deep green. I've tried other colors, but I tend to stick to those when I want a little bit of a WOW factor.

@Takoda I completely agree! Tammy used purple really well. If I had done it, I would look bruised!

I think this look is such an easy way to vamp up your makeup. I especially love the purple.

I like the look on Tammy, but I agree that you have to be careful on the colors that you use and how thick you apply it.

I've been a fan of this look for quite sometime. It makes a great eyeliner if you just dip your brush in some water before you use your eyeshadow. I like to use gold tones when I do the under eye shadow look similar to Michelle's

I've already tried this look. I used browns that match my eye color. I
haven't tried any other colors as of yet, but I'm going to. Everyone I
ran into this first time I did this asked me what it was that I did
differently to my eye's, they all really liked it. I think you still
have to be careful about the colors you choose when you do this, some
just won't look right under the eye.
