Yay or Nay?: Sarah Jessica Parker's Red Carpet Style

Posted by Alexandra C. | Monday September 5, 201157 comments

Known for her over-the-top accessories, sky high heels and bold colours and prints, SJP has confidence to pull it off- but not in everyone's opinion.

Sarah Jessica Parker has her haters and lovers like any other celebrity- particularly when it comes to her style. Her new film I Don't Know How She Does It will be released mid-September and she was recently in Moscow to premiere her film. She wore a Giambattista Valli red dress and... a cape? She seemed to really be into the whole 'Little Red Riding Hood' theme as she paired the dress with lion claw pumps from Christian Louboutin!

What do you think of the caped crusader combo? Sure it is a little strange, but she seems to be working it - you think? Is it a Yay or Nay? You tell us by leaving a comment by September 12th for a chance to win a prize!

The dress is too low cut, I don't think it flatters her breasts at all. I like the colour of her, but dislike the style of the dress and the cape is just too much. The shoes are just fun accessories, and your long dress pretty much hides them all the time. Not something I would ever wear though.

I actually dont mind the cape but the paw shoes creep me out. The whole outfit looks like she is trying way too hard. Overall I think its a nay

It's a Nay. Lose the cape and shoes and it becomes a maybe:)

NAY!

I am guessing nobody has ever told her "less is more" because the cape and shoes make the whole thing gaudy. Even without them, the dress itself would look better on someone younger.

It reminds me of an aging hockey mom's halloween party getup.

Without the cape, the dress would be gorgeous!

that cape has forced me to vote NAY. The shoes are kind of fun (though definitely red carpet, not real life) and the dress is beautiful. but there is no reason for capes. ever.

Nay! The shoes are cute, but I wish she didn't pair that dress with that cape. O_O
