Since When is Mark's Work Warehouse Cool?

Have you been to Mark's Work Warehouse recently?  You might be surprised.  Shocked is probably a better word.
Marks Work Warehouse
In the past this is not a store I'd consider shopping at unless I was planning on doing some renos or yard work (which would require me to have a house and/or a yard - of which, I possess neither).  Alternatively, if I needed a gift for a lumberjack Marks would be top of my list.

I'd heard some positive comments about them lately, and then on a recent trip to Winnipeg my Mother lent me a gorgeous scarf that she bought there for $10.  So, when an invite to attend a media preview of their fall collection arrived in my inbox I had to check it out.

I was completely gobsmacked to see they carry stuff like this:

And like this!

These cozy, ultra soft sweaters can be tossed in the dryer without consequence.  What?! Since when?

And then there are these comfy yet chic leather boots...

...that are mud and water resistant, as they so cleverly demonstrated.  I don't know about you, but I need a pair of these for fall.

Would you wear any of this?  Does this change your opinion of Mark's?

What? Omg.. I had no idea that Mark's was such a great place to shop! The last time I was in there was probably around 6 years ago, and I needed to buy a pair of work boots for my boyfriend, haha. Wow!

MWW is great for work cloths as well as everyday wear. They have different clothing styles with each season but the sizes 12 and up go pretty fast, there sales racks are usually full of sizes 2-8. They have ladies night sales as well as the regular sales and $10 flyer cards which you can combine. Regular prices can be high on some things so watch for sales.
I have not worked for Marks but I do see that the staff can be rude or scarce at times like night sale times.
I like shopping there when there are sales!

I worked at MWWH for several years between numerous locations in Ontario and one thing I know is that other management is a joke and most treat their employees poorly.
Minimum wages for most and unrealistic demands with lowered hours due to decreasing sales.

Don't forget their 100% guarantee. If you grow out of it, damage it, burn it, wear it a couple times and want a new one, they'll take it back and give you your money or store credit.

After working in both the corporate office and Imagewear, I got to see the development and change of their image. Pretty interesting. Watch out for the store names being changed to just "Mark's." They also have a unique vending machine that supplies shoes, scrubs and other such small clothing items intended for hospitals, construction sites, etc.. Neat stuff.

Nah, I used to work at Mark's.
Sure, the clothes are great, but the employees are just plain rude to one another.
Apparently respect isn't important these days....

I've been shopping at Marks for a while! Their petite clothes are great, and reasonably priced compared to other "petite" stores. Its good to keep an eye on their advertising or instore event listings - the store here in Cambridge will do fundraiser nights or theme nights where you go and shop and get reduced prices, as well as enjoy treats and raffles and door prizes :) Last winter they had a used coat drop-off... and for each coat you took in, you received a $10 Marks gift certificate. Win/win for everyone! I love Marks :)
