Warm 'n Fuzzy Weekly Reading

Posted by Claire | Thursday December 23, 20104 comments
Our StyleCollective friends have us feeling all warm and fuzzy inside (and at this time of year, that's a good thing):

Gifted has a funtabulous gift idea for a party hostess - felted mistletoe!  Make sure to wrap it up in a uniquely personalized way, like using colourful yarn over simple packing paper (as seen on Coco&Lowe).

Not so much the "outdoorsy type"?  BeautyGeeks has the secret to a just-played-in-the-snow flush without actually, you know, playing in the snow.  And since you need something decadent to sip on a cold winter's night, try one of KimVallee's eggnog recipes (including dairy- and sugar-free)!

While you're at it, you might try snuggling up under a heavy quilt with a good book. We have a few suggestions there, too.

Oh my goodness I just checked out all the wrapping suggestions from Coco&Lowe;- those are seriously some of the best looking gifts I've ever seen! I love the idea of using newspaper or maps and adding some colour with a bright ribbon.

I also really like the idea of using natural accents like twigs and dried flowers to spice up plain paper!

Coco & Lowe have many more amazing wrapping suggestions, like using old maps, music sheets, burlap, and knitted ribbons - very cool!

My mom always used to save the comic pages out of the newspaper to wrap our gifts in - saved her a lot of $$ on unnecessary wrapping paper, and it was always so much fun to read! Sometimes we'd spend more time reading our wrap than playing with our gift.
