Yay or Nay: Angelina Jolie's Red Carpet Style

Posted by Alexandra C. | Monday February 20, 201270 comments

When I first saw this dress, I kept flip flopping back and forth on whether or not I liked it. When I looked at the dress on it's own, I couldn't help but be underwhelmed and a bit confused. I mean, why the flower? And why so big?

However, when I looked at the dress in it's entirety, with Angelina, I kind of dug the sophisticated and soft lines of the flower, mixed with a modern and sleek cut. Needless to say, I was a bit stumped.

Then, I realised, the dress itself is on the weird side, but if anyone can wear it, it's definitely Angelina. Just like Angelina Jolie herself, this dress started to grow on me after a while. I love the skirt portion especially, that shilouette is to die for on her. While I am still not sold on the flower, for Angelina, I'll let it slide.

What do you think, is this red carpet style a yay or a nay? Leave a comment by February 26th for a chance to win!

I'm on the fence with this one. The dress is actually very pretty and different and can be worn nicely. However, on her, it washes her out. Was she always that pale?

I think Yay! She wears it so well, but I don't think that many of us (especially if you're petite like me) can pull off this dress.

I think the ombre for the flower and the wavy ruffles are a strange gradient. It was as if the designer mixed photoshop and pretty dress and came out with this result.

Love the one shoulder style though!

Yay! I definitely see what you mean it was really awkward at first :P I think the skirt really makes the dress though, its beautiful!

Nay! I feel like someone took a "safe" dress and tried to make it bold by adding an enormous flower, which to be honest just looks like rolled up extra fabric to me.

I say yay, but minus the sleeve, the flower is ok i guess but the 3/4 sleeve is too much

This is a tough one but I am going to say Yay. The flower is a bit distracting but I think it still works on her.
