I was very lucky to have been selected by Chickadvisor to try out this Neutrogena Peel Off Mask for free!
Now, to start off, I've used peel off masks before. I've never experienced any pain, issues, or reactions before. This mask is insane! It literally caused me pain to pull it off. I don't have a lot of facial hair but it pulled whatever was there out. My face the next day was so red and I had little bumps on both cheeks where I typically don't break out. I was super disappointed because my skin had been clear prior to using this product.
Secondly, this product is in a really big sachet and described as a 'single use' product. There is no way that this is only for one use -- I think I could easily get three out of it. And because of that, I don't like the size of the sachet. I would much prefer this type of product come in a tube because the packet just gets messy.
Application of the mask was super easy, but I did find it to be quite liquidy. You basically have one shot at getting this spread on your skin because it dries down quickly.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this product. The packaging is poor (it looks like it should be a sheet mask). It grips too much to your skin. I left this product on for 10 minutes and it was pretty painful to take off. And lastly, something in this product caused irritation to my skin (or maybe it was the pulling at the skin from the mask). I would not recommend.

I was very fortunate to receive this item free to try from Chickadvisor!
I was really curious to try out this product because I currently create a DIY lemon masque to banish brassiness and copper tones from my dyed ash blonde hair. I live on very hard well water, so I was hoping that the lemon oils in this John Frieda product would combat the brassiness just like my at-home lemon masque (with lemon juice).
One thing that the John Frieda definitely delivers is hydration! There is a noticeable difference in the softness (in look and touch) of my hair throughout the week after use. It also helped eliminate how static my hair gets from the cold weather. Overall my ends look evidently hydrated.
What it did not deliver on was eliminating some brassy tones. I was hoping that the lemon oil in combination with other Go Blonder products would neutralize that, but unfortunately has not had any effect (this is also not a colour depositing product, so I understand to a point).
The product itself is the consistency of a very thick, regular conditioner. I was expecting it to be thicker, but it was very easy to apply and run through my hair. The lemon oil scent is very gentle and does linger on my hair which I love!
Overall, the product itself I'd describe as just nice. Is it worth the cost? I personally don't believe so, since there are other products out there that can hydrate just as well (like a leave-in conditioner). But would I buy it again? Probably, if it was on sale. I don't know what this 'Blondemend' Technology is meant to be or do, but at the end of the day it's a nice product for deep hydration.

I didn't have high hopes for this product as I have extremely oily eyelids. Eyeshadow primers never work for me, and powder shadows last a few hours before creasing. Because of this, I never purchased a liquid shadow before and expected it to just slide into my crease like powder shadows typically do.
Boy, was I pleasantly surprised with this product! I honestly was shocked when i came home and noticed it was still in place after 12 hours of wear! I did place down concealer and translucent powder on my lid prior to application, and don't know if this helped with longevity.
I have porcelain skin and purchased the rose gold shade, and it shows up as a beautiful pink shimmer on my lids. It's important to let this fully dry down on your lids before blinking to make sure that the product doesn't move around. The plus side is that it dries down fairly quickly, but not so fast that you can't blend it in. The doe foot applicator is the best way to apply this product, and blend out the edges with a brush.
Overall, I was shocked by how amazing this product performed on my very oily eyelids. I literally had zero expectations, but this lasted longer on my lids than regular eye primer and powder shadows. I will purchase this product again and again, because it does not fade and the pay off is amazing!

I received this mascara in a deluxe sample from Sephora. At first I hated this mascara. It seemed too wet and would clump my lashes together. I threw it in my makeup bag and forgot about it for a few months. After I found it again and used it, it worked great! I think this is just one of those mascaras that you have to let dry out a bit because the new formula is super wet. Once it was dried out it applied clump free, added decent volume, but did not lengthen. Would I purchase? Probably not, simply because it isn't what I'm looking for in a mascara. Regardless, it looks nice and would be great if you're gifted with long lashes. -

I have very oily skin, large pores, and blemish prone skin. My face has a history of not absorbing cream lotions, so when I saw this gel version on the shelf I thought I'd give it a go -- and I'm so glad I did! This product doesn't break me out which is the biggest plus side for me. I don't see anything super mattifying, but it is the summertime right now and I'm perpetually oily. I love how quickly this absorbs into my skin, it doesn't leave a film or a feeling of heaviness. It feels very cooling on my skin, leaving a fresh sensation. Overall, it adequately hydrates my oily skin without breaking me out or causing redness. This product contains hyaluronic acid and aloe, which means it's gentle for my occasionally sensitive skin. The packaging is a weighty glass bottle, which makes it feel so lux and high end. It does have a scent to it -- I don't find it overwhelming, and my mother who is sensitive to scented products can use it without issue. I would recommend this to absolutely anyone and everyone with oily skin -- definitely a holy grail product! It does layer well under foundation, but if you have large pores you'll still need to use a pore filling primer.

I usually have trouble finding lotions that absorb into my oily skin and won't break me out. This Garnier lotion is great because it's a thin, lightweight formula that absorbs into my skin quickly and hasn't clogged my pores. Because it's thin, I think it helps you get a nice layer of moisurization, as opposed to a really thick formula that feels heavy on your skin. I also noticed that throughout the day, my skin doesn't seem to get as oily as fast whenever I use this product. Now that I've tried this product, I don't think I can go back to any other! Will definitely be purchasing again and highly recommending to others with oily, acne prone skin. -

I was very happy to have been selected by Chickadvisor to try out one of Ben & Jerry's newest non-dairy flavours -- Coconut Almond Fudge Chip! I love anything and everything coconut and this definitely hit the spot. The coconut flavour is subtle, which is nice because then you can taste the almond slivers and gigantic fudge chunks. I was initially worried about the consistency of the non-diary ice cream because I've had others in the past which were quite hard. I placed this tub in an area of my freezer that typically keeps regular ice cream at a soft, scoopable level, and this stuff was rock solid. I would recommend leaving on the counter so you can chisel some out. As for the mouth-feel of the product, if you didn't tell me it was non-diary, I wouldn't have been able to tell. I found it to be quite creamy when melted and it didn't have any off flavour.
Overall, would I purchase this again? No. The taste was delicious, but I can't justify the calories or cost. At 280 calories per 1/2 cup serving, it's outrageous because that amount of calories is a meal for me. Also, I can't justify paying such an astronomical price for what is essentially sugar water with coconut oil. I know Ben & Jerry's is ~fancy~ ice cream, but I just can't justify it when there are many homemade, healthier alternatives for people like me who avoid dairy for either personal or medical reasons.

I was selected by Chickadvisor to try this conditioner along with its corresponding shampoo for free.
To start off, I never apply conditioner from root to tip -- ever. I have very oily hair and it doesn't work out for me. I tried it once with this product just to see if, combined with the dandruff shampoo, it would just further hydrate the scalp. Unfortunately it made my hair oilier like most other conditioners do. So, to test out this product I used it in my regular way -- of applying it from the base of my head down to tips. What I love most about this product is its scent! It smells beautiful (like coconuts!) just like every other Dove product I've used before. It really does smooth out my hair, makes it feel incredibly soft to the touch, reduced frizz and easier to comb through.
In the end, the biggest benefit I've noticed from this product is how it has made my hair so smooth. It feels super soft to the touch and just feels bouncier if that makes any sense! Would I purchase this product again? I say undecided. There are many conditioners out there that can perform equally as well and at a lesser cost.

I received this item free to try by Chickadvisor last week. I thought I'd give myself about a week and a half of trying this product to test out its effectiveness.
I typically use Head & Shoulder Clinical Solutions Shampoo but I took a break from it for a few weeks so I could test out how well Dove would work on my scalp. I find that this shampoo is as equally effective as the Head & Shoulders. I followed the instructions on the Dove bottle and used the products twice a week, and I've noticed that it does reduce itchiness and the amount of flakes. Without using Dove, I would have lots of dryness, particularly in the hairline. But by using this product I'm able to comb my hair without having to worry.
Overall, I think after testing out Dove, I'll be making the switch from Head & Shoulders! What won me over completely with Dove is its scent. Head & Shoulders shampoos, in my opinion, smell awful. This Dove shampoo smells beautiful -- you'd never know it was actually a dandruff shampoo. It contains coconut oil, which I think is the main scent.
In the end, I would recommend this product to anyone who deals with an itchy scalp and flakes. Mine is due to winter dryness, dryness caused by the heater, and hard water. It has proved effective with me, so it's worth a shot for anyone else. The product is pricey, but you could reduce using this product to once a week if necessary.

I was very lucky to have been selected by Chickadvisor to try the colour Denim Blue for free. Unfortunately, this product did not work for me, nor would it work for anyone who does not have bleached, natural or dyed light blonde hair (and I'm talking WHITE). My hair takes very well to dyes so I expected a lot more from this.
As for the application, it was a bit messy until you get the hang of it. It is a very wet spray that I did get all over myself and the walls. Luckily, it is very easy to take off with water and a towel. The way I applied the product was by twisting my ends (I went for a dip dye look), and completely saturated the hair. The package suggests to apply this product with damp hair, but I would argue that dry is best. Dry hair allows you to see where you're applying better and seeing that everything is easily coated. I deviated a bit from the instructions believing that letting the product sit for a bit before drying would give better colour pay off.
As for the product itself, it's more of a grey-blue than a denim blue. It is nothing like the colour that is dispensed. When I applied it to my ends, it seemed like it would be well pigmented but unfortunately it isn't. In the past I've customised my own pastel colours with Manic Panic and conditioner, so I know what to expect. I have blonde hair, which is what this product is marketed for, but this did not show for me at all. This is so poorly pigmented that, in my opinion, this would only be effective on pre-lightened or naturally very light blonde hair. I attached an image showing the before and after, and there is no difference other than this product seems to make my hair a cooler tone of blonde (both photos taken in natural sunlight). It's disappointing because it is possible to have pastel shades for ALL blondes (look at hair chalk!), and I hope they redevelop it to add more pigment (because I love the idea of a spray-in temp dye).
Overall, I would not purchase this product again. It is useless for most blondes unless you've purchased a pre-lightening kit or have very very light blonde hair.
