I’ve heard a lot of good things about dry shampoos this past year, so when I came across TRESemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo I thought I’d give it a try. I hate washing my hair everyday, or even every other day, but if I don’t it tends to get way to greasy. It took me awhile to even find any brand of dry shampoos where I live witch surprised me. Even after I did find this one I put off buying it because I just wasn’t sure how I’d like it and I didn’t want to waste my money. The store I found it at wanted $7.99 Canadian for it when its only $3.99 at the store shown on here. Well I finally broke down and bought TRESemme’s Fresh Start Dry Shampoo before Xmas. For those of you that may not know much about dry shampoo, it’s supposed to let you skip a day of washing your hair by zapping the oil and any orders from your hair, giving it a clean look and feel. Witch for someone like myself that tends to have oily hair, it seemed like some pretty big promises to me. Any how after reading how to apply it properly I went for it. I really wasn’t thrilled with the smell or the feel of this dry shampoo; it was like I added baby powder that smelled really bad to my head. You’re supposed to hold the can a few inches away from you hair and give it short burst of spray and then let it sit. I did this and my hair not only looked like it had baby power on it, it felt like it too. I gave it the right amount of time the can said to before I started to brush it out, but my hair ended up looking worse not better. I even tried it again a few days later thinking maybe I didn’t do it right the first time, but I had the same results. I tried putting my hair up thinking this might make it look better, but it still looked dirty to me so I gave up and was very disappointed with it. If you tend to have oily hair then I’d tell you not to bother with dry shampoos, or at least not with TRESemme’s Fresh Start Dry Shampoo. If you’re really wondering how your hair will take to a dry shampoo like I was, then maybe try and get a sample, or a travel size can before you spend your money on a full size can no matter how much you find it selling for. -

I was sent an eight package of Band-Aid Advanced Heeling Cushions to try for free from Klout, but you can buy a six pack at Well.ca for $6.99. These band-aids aren’t your average band-aid; they have a cushioning gel pad that you place over a blister you have gotten from say new shoes. This gel pad helps to relieve pain while it protects the blister from braking open and perhaps becoming infected. They’re waterproof and they’re strong adhesive makes sure they stay in place for multi days. They are also very flexible and comfortable because they conform to your skin giving them a much better fit then a plain old band-aid can. The seal not only keep water from getting in while you shower, or swim it also keep dirt and germs from getting to your blister, or broken open blister that can cause it to become infected. My husband bought me two new pares of boots for Christmas this year and I ended up with blisters on both of my ankles. One blister had already broken open before I had a chance to apply the Band-Aid Advanced Healing Blister Cushions to it, but the other was there big as a house. I applied a healing cushion to each ankle and I couldn’t even tell they were on. The pain I was feeling was gone with in minutes and I was even able to wear my new boots the next day with out feeling any pain. The Band-Aid Advanced Healing Blister Cushions are the best things I have found to not only help to heal my blisters, but to allow me to continue to wear the boots that caused the blister to forum in the first place. If your have new shoes, or boots to brake in then I highly recommend you pick up some Band-Aid Advanced Healing Blister Cushions, they work great and keep your feet comfortable and in style! -

I received a free ten package of Genacol Anti-Inflammatory pills to try out and see what I thought of them. You can buy a package of 30 pills for $19.99 from their web site and if you spend over $40 you can get free shipping in Canada. People have given Genacol Anti-Inflammatory a four out of five star rating on their web site and from what my son told me he would give it a five. I’m on so many different medications that I didn’t want to try it with out speaking to my doctor, but because Genacol anti-inflammatory is a 100% natural anti-inflammatory I let my son give them a try. My son suffers from scoliosis, witch is a curving of the spin and he has high levels of lower back pain. So I let him give Genacol a try. With in a short period of time he came back to me asking me where I got it and if I could get more. I asked him; “Why did it help.” He said “This is the best stuff I have ever tried for my back pain, I have no pain left after I took that stuff!” My son has taken Tylenol one, witch is Tylenol with codeine in it and has never had this much pain relief from them as he has gotten with the Genacol Anit-Inflammatory. Both of us were and still are very imprested with how well it works for him. Genacol is made to rapidly help decrease throbbing aches and pains and is a natural alternative with out long term side effects. Genacol anti-inflammatory is capable of targeting inflammation and easing away your pain improving pain and quality of life. It’s gentle on your stomach unlike a lot of other pain relievers. If you have a bad back like my son, diseases that cause joint inflammation, sports injuries, or just over worked muscles and joints and don’t like to take, or just can’t take over the counter pain relievers, then I recommend you give Genacol Anti-Inflammatory a try. They are very effective and don’t up set your stomach. For more information about Genacol Anti-Inflammatory please go to the web site. -

My mom bought some L’Oreal Youth Code BB Cream and she didn’t care for the shade she bought, so she gave it to me. I’ve been using Garnier BB Cream for most of this year and really like it, so I wasn’t to sure about changing to this one. The L’Oreal web site tells you that their BB Cream is a magic skin beautifier that contains beautifying beads that instantly self adjust to the prefect shade for a flawless nude look. I’m sure this can be true if you buy the right shade for your skin tone, but because it’s available in four skin tone shades, you still have a chance of buying the wrong shade like my mom did. This is why I highly recommend you ask if you can test the shade of a foundation, or a BB Cream that you’re thinking of purchasing before you buy it. If they say no, then go somewhere where you can try the shades. It will save you money and the frustrations that goes along with ending up with something you can’t use. The L’Oreal Youth Code BB Cream web site also tells you that it delivers multiple beautifying actions such as hydrating your skin, correcting your skin tone and it evens and prefects it. One of the others that reviewed this BB Cream before me mentioned that if you use too much of this BB Cream it can be a bit oily I found the same thing happen to me when I tried it, but I also found this was the case with the Garnier BB Cream that I have been using. As long as you use it sparingly you can get nice coverage with out that oily look and feel. Also if you do happen to use too much I found that using a bit of translucent powder does correct this. After I tried the L’Oreal Youth Code BB Cream in the light shade, I wasn’t overly thrilled with it. Yes it gave me nice coverage, it went on nice and stayed on until I took it off, I just ddidn't like the shade I have, it gave me to much of an orange under tone. Other wise I didn’t find anything all that special about it. It costs about the same as the Garnier BB Cream that I already use and is less then some others that I have seem in stores. I believe how much you like, or dislike BB Creams, no matter who the maker is just depends on each person, just like a foundation. We all like one BB Cream brand more then we do another BB Cream. This is just one of those products that you have to try yourselves. I believe as long as you get the right shade for your skin tone then you’ll be happy with the L’Oreal Youth Code BB Cream. I know I would have liked it a lot more if it was the right shade for me. -

I’ve bin using CoverGirl Pressed Powder since I started wearing makeup may years ago. They have changed the packaging over the years, but this one is still the one I use today. I also used to use the translucent powder, but I haven’t been able to find that one in a very long time. So I started using the oil control pressed powder in the Buff Beige shade at least ten years ago maybe even longer. If you tend to have oily skin like I have then you might like this powder because it helps to keep control shine and make’s your pores less visible. It gives me a nice fresh more natural look that I like with out making me look like I have a ton of powder on my face. You can also buy CoverGirl Pressed Powder for normal skin and for sensitive skin formulas. -

I’ve had three boxes of John Frieda Precision Foam Color sitting around for sometime now and I only just got around to trying it today. You get the foam application bottle, that you mix your color together with the solution that’s in that foam bottle, a very nice size conditioner that can be used several times after your first use and very nice thick black gloves in the box. I had I big problem right off the bat with the foam applicator bottle and I was so thankful that I had two more boxes on hand. My hair usually take’s two boxes of any hair color to completely cover all of it because it’s very long. Any how the applicator bottle completely stopped working. I couldn’t get it to work no matter what I tried and I had only applied one ball size of foam onto the top of my hair when this happened. I was so happy that I did have two more boxes on hand, other wise I don’t know what I would have done, or what I would have looked like. Once I got the second bottle mix up I was amazed at how easy and how fast it is to use! Although it doesn’t look like there is much in the bottle when you start, there was more then enough to do my long hair with out having to use a second bottle. That has never happened to me before with any other hair dye I have used. I also never had one drip from the applicator, but I did have a bit of a hard time keeping the dye off of my skin because of the length of my hair. I believe this is why they tell you to apply some lotion, or even Vaseline around your hair line before you start applying the dye. Any thing that did get on my skin washed right off with just warm water. If your going to do this be sure to use a something you don’t care about and not your good face cloths because it is a dye and it will make a big mess. After waiting the 30 minutes the dye rinsed out of my hair very fast, witch was another blessing to my bad back. You then apply the cream condition and message it through your hair for five minutes then rinse it out. The John Frieda Precision Foam Color completely covered all of my gray hair and left it a nice natural looking brown. Sometimes I have trouble with hair dye bringing out to much of the red that’s in my hair, but this never happened with this hair dye. My hair looks and feels great and best of all instead of having to use two boxes of dye and it taking me over two hours to complete the job. I was done everything in under an hour! The John Frieda Precision Foam color is a bit more then I normally pay for hair color, but with all the time I saved and with how nice my hair turned out I feel it’s well worth the extra bit more. After all you get what you pay for. I’d definitely recommend you give John Frieda Precision Foam Color a try if you haven’t already done so. -

I received a chocolate cake charm from the Puddingfishcakes web site in the last Sweet Delight box I bought and was amassed at the great job this woman did making it. I can’t show you a picture of the cake charm that I received because she never did have one of mine on her web site and my camera isn’t working. I have how ever added a picture of the of Pop-Tart earring’s I bought for my niece for Christmas and just one of the charms she has for sale on her web site right now. She makes earrings and charms that can be hung on a chain, or if you want one for your cell phone she will send you a strap so you can attach it to your phone. The charms she makes that look like food look good enough to eat and I think they’re just the cutest little things I’ve ever seen. Any little girl would love to have a few to show off to her friends. All of her items are completely hand made and individually hand sculpted using polymer clay with no use of commercial molds, so each one is a little different. I have noticed that she has only made one of a lot of her charms and earring sets, so chances are that your little girl won’t show up on the play ground and find out her friend received the same thing for Christmas. Her prices run from as low as $2 for a pink sprinkled donut charm to $15.36 for a Tiny Boxed Pusheen Cats Standalone Ornament. When I ordered the earrings from her I was so surprised when they showed up the very next day! She says on her wed site that everything is ready to be shipped and she ships with in Canada and the U.S. If you’re looking for something a little different as a gift, or even for yourself then I’d definitely recommend you give Puddingfishcake charms and earrings a look. I’m sure you’ll be just as pleased with your purchase as I am with mine. -

I received my Avon Glimmerstick Eyeliner in a grab bag I bought when I was at the Ladies Expo back in October. You can buy them on the Avon web site for $7.99, or four for $12. The one I got is called their blackest black shade, how ever it does comes in eight other shades. The Glimmersticks are retractable and shelf-sharpening and can be used as a brow liner as well as an eye liner, although I don’t know why you would want to use it on your brows. Their web site says they are long lasting; however this was not the experience I had with this eye liner. I have hooded eye lids and if my liner doesn’t dry fairly fast it tends to get all over the place. I found the Glimmerstick eyeliner to be way to wet for me! It took for ever to dry and I had a mess to clean up five times before I could get it set, as well as it could set that is. Then through out the day it wouldn’t did stay put. I found myself constantly looking in the mirror checking to see if it had smudged again and again. This was my first experience with Avon eyeliners and it will be my last. I definitely wouldn’t recommend Avon’s Glimmersticks Eyeliners. -

I received my 17g sample of the new Dove Clear Tone Skin Renew for free, but a 46g solid can be bought on Well.ca for $4.99. This new Dove has calendula and sunflower seed extracts that is suppose to help moisturize your skin and help reduce underarm discolouration. It contains notes of violet; lilac, rose and vanilla musk witch is a combination of scents that I just happen to love. Dove says their new Dove Clear Skin Tone Renew can give you order and wetness protection for up to 24 hours and its specially formulated to smooth dry underarm skin. I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and although I like how it smells and how it keeps me dry and fresh smelling, I haven’t noticed any change in the color to the skin under my arms. They don’t tell you on their web site, or in any of the advertisements that I have seen, how long you are suppose to use it before you do start to see any improvement in any discolouration you may have. I had very little discolouration under my arms to begin with, so I can’t really say how well this aspect of the new Dove Clear Tone Skin Renew is working for me, or not working for me. I believe this is one of those products that you just have to give a try for yourself because everyone skin is different in so many ways. Over all I would recommend the new Dove Clear Tone Skin Renew, how ever I do with a warning not to expect miracles to happen to your underarm skin, at least not in just a few weeks. -

I’ve used Sunlight laundry soap on and off for years from their powder format to their liquid format. So it sure didn’t surprise me when they came out with a pac format right along with all the other laundry soaps that are available. Their Spring Splash scent is available in 24, 48 and a 68 count package and their Sensitive Skin pacs are available in 24 and 48 count packages. They sure can’t be any easier to use, you just have to pop one, or two into your washer depending on how large of a load you are washing at the time, start your washer and away you go. I’ve used only one in a large load and everything came out just as clean and very fresh smelling. So I really don’t know why they tell you to use two in larger loads, other then to make you use more and end up having to buy it more often. They are convenient to use, but I’m not sure that the cost compared to the amount you get pre package is worth the price when you can get more for less with their liquid laundry soap. With the amount of laundry that I do ever week, I don’t think I’ll be buying more even though I like how well the Sunlight Tripe Clean Pacs do work. Once my kids have left the nest and my husband has retired I may change my mind and buy them, but for now I think I’ll stick to the liquid format. If you like the convenience of the pac format then I would recommend Sunlight Triple Clean Pacs to you as they do a great job. -
