I was sent my Tulip Grease lip balm for free in their Lemon Love scent and its smells wonderful! It is made with zero artificial ingredients and has a soft scent of lemon and vanilla just like a lemon meringue pie. This lip balm isn’t the same old round shape like every other lip balm on the market. It has an oval shape witch I feel makes it easier to apply to your lips right where you want it. This lip balm gets it lemon and vanilla scent from a mix of lemon essential oils and natural vanilla infused oils. The lemon and vanilla scents are just that a scent, you don’t taste it so you won’t lick it off of your lips. I found that it stayed on my lips for a long time. Even after drinking, or eating I could still feel it softening my lips. These lip balms are a product from the U.S. so they are pretty pricey at about $6.29 Canadian plus shipping. How ever when you buy one of their Lemon Love lip balm you’ll be supporting Kiss for a Cause. They’re giving Kiss for a Cause 10% of the profits witch supports a thyroid cancer charity. So every time you use this lip balm on your lips your lips will not only feel good your heart will to because you’ll know you've helped someone out even if it was just a little. Tulip Grease lip balms are also available in Lavender Tartine- lavender vanilla, Plum Snuggle and Coconut Swoon: coconut Macaroon lip balm. When you buy their Coconut Swoon lip balm they will also give 10% of the profits to benefit disaster relief charities. Witch is another great charity and a great way for you to help out those in need. So all though Tulip Grease lip balms are pricey for Canadians, I feel they are worth every penny and I’m sure you will too. -

Simple Siren lip balms are 100% natural and organic. Their web site says that their lip balms are carefully handmade and blended from scratch from the best local organic ingredients around Ohio and all with in the U.S. They blend and infuse all of their lip balms with organic synthetic free scents and colours that promote health with a natural mellow scent that even the most sensitive will be able to enjoy. They say that at their shop they never use any toxic synthetic, sulphates, or any artificial scent and flavours in their lip balms. The lip balm I received from them to try for free was their Blueberry Butter lip balm and it smells good enough to eat. How ever once it’s on it has no taste, so you wouldn't be licking it off of your lips as soon as you put it on. It leaves your lips feeling very soft and this lip balm lasts for quite a long time. So you won’t have to continually reapply it to your lips. Simple Siren make’s lip balms in several different scents such as Raspberry Truffle, Lemon Meringue, Simple Put Lime, Multi Berry Burst-Berry & Vanilla Truffle Balm and Orange Crème just to name a few. Their lip balms sell for varying prices from around $4.06 to about $5.28 Canadian, how ever there is a high shipping coast of $6.33 Canadian because it will be shipped from the U.S. All though I really love this lip balm do to this high cost I won’t be ordering more of it when mine is gone. If the cost wouldn't be a factor for you then I’d definitely tell you to give the Simple Siren Organic lip balms a try. -

The last time I ordered some soap from Farmington Herbs she also sent me a few different sample bars to see how I liked them. This Lavender Mint soap was just one of them and am I every happy she included this one. It has a relaxing, uplifting combination of lavender, spearmint, orange and cypress essential oils, with ground up peppermint and orange mint straight from her garden. She swirls it with alkanet root, madder root and ultramarine pigment. It not only smell good enough to eat it looks very pretty sitting in your soap dish, with the light purple colors running through out it. This soap lather’s up very nicely and doesn’t leave your skin feeling like anything but good things have been left behind. If you enjoy naturally made soaps then I’m sure you’d love to have and use this Lavender Mint soap. I just can’t say enough about how much I have enjoyed using it and I’ll definitely be ordering more of it once this one is gone. One thing about ordering from Farmington Herbs is that she is located in the U.S and there is about a $9 shipping fee depending on the weight of your order. So if you would like to try some of her many different home made soaps and you do live in Canada keep that in mind before you place your order. Each bar sells for $4.50 U.S., but when I ordered two different bars she sent me two nice size sample bars to try out and told me that she will usually do this with all of her orders. The sample bars and the full size bars last for a long time as long as you don’t leave them soaking in a soap dish full of water. -

The last time I ordered some soap from the Farmington Herbals she sent me a nice sized sample bar of their Rooibos & Tulsi Chai Tea Latte soap. This lady make’s all of her soaps at home and uses things straight from her own garden, so it’s always fresh. This soap smells absolutely wonderful!! It’s made with a blend of spicy aromatic oils and antioxidant rich Rooibos tea with coconut cream and shea butter for extra rich lather. The Tulsi is actually Holy Basil from her garden that is infused with organic Rooibos, organic Cloves, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Allspice, Ginger and Nutmeg spices is the water portion of this soap and is also made with additional powdered tea and red sandalwood that is swirled into the bar for color and exfoliation. It sounds good enough to eat! It’s a real wake me up in the morning and it lathers up very nicely. It make’s your skin feel smooth and give it a nice healthy look. The next time I order from her I’ll be ordering a full bar of Rooibos & Tulsi Chai Tea Latte Soap for sure! -

I came across the new Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Soft Bakes a few weeks ago and I can’t get enough of them! They taste so much better then their other Nutri-grain bars. They’re only available in two flavours right now, but I’m hoping they will come out with a few more down the road. You can buy them in, banana bread flavour witch I feel really does taste and smell like real banana bread. The other flavour is blueberry muffin witch reminds me of real blueberry muffins. They’re both soft and moist not dry like the other Nutri-grain bars seem to be. There’s only five to a box and they do coast a bit more then the other Nutri-grain bars do, but I feel they’re worth the extra money you pay for them. Each bar contains 14g of whole grains, so they are a better snack option then say a cookie would be for you. Most stores have had them on sale on and off since they hit the shelves. So if you do want to try them, but don’t want to pay full price just to see if you like them, watch for sales and give them a try. I bet you’ll get hooked on them like I am. -

I ordered this Hawaiian Dreams Sea Salt Bar soap from Farmington Herbs simply because it sounded really nice. The water portion of this home made soap comes from Pineapple Sage tea made from the leaves and flowers of her home grown Pineapple sage plants. It is also made from red Hawaiian sea salt, black lava salt, activated charcoal, Hibiscus flowers and red clay to help exfoliate your skin along with mango butter and macadamia nut oil to give your skin extra moisture. The picture make’s this soap look like its more of a gray and pink color, but it’s actually more of a light black and orange color. I thought I was really going to enjoy this soap as much as I have some of the other soaps I have ordered from here, but I’m really not all that excited about this one. I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve been sick that I can’t seem smell much of a scent from this soap, or if it just doesn’t have that much of a scent to it like I was expecting it to have. I’ve also had a bit of a hard time getting it to lather up nicely. I can get it to give me some bubbles but not much. It does leave my skin soft and smooth and it rinses off well with out any residue that I can see or feel. It also doesn’t seem to be giving me enough moisture like it says it can. I’m not overly dried out after using it, I’m just not feeling moisturizes. So for those reason I won’t be ordering this one again. -

I received a sample package of Kiehl’s Rosa Arctica Eye and was very pleased with how well in worked for me. Their web site says its an anti-aging eye balm that is infused with rare resurrection flowers that are supposed to re-energize skin giving you visibly younger looking eye’s. It contains natural brighteners that instantly smooth and illuminate the area around your eye’s giving them a smoother firmer look. This eye cream is pretty thick and not much is needed because it spreads well and absorbs well as long as you don’t apply to much. I used way to much the first time I tried it and I didn’t think I was ever going to get it to absorb. Once I discover the proper way to use it I really enjoyed it. It made my eye’s look firmer and brighter. They say the best way to use it is to warm it first by rubbing the formula in the jar in a circular motion to activate the formula and then to delicately pat it on along your orbital bone. Well like I said I only had a sample package so this was a bit hard to do. The sample I had lasted me for a good two weeks because a little goes a long way. I really do wish I had more because I would continue to use it if I could. How ever it is pretty pricey! For a 0.5 oz jar they want $46 American and that’s just not something that I can afford right now. How ever if you can afford to buy Kiehl’s Rosa Arctica eye cream then I’d definitely recommend you try it out for yourself. -

I picked this eye liner up back in Feb because I wanted to try a different liquid eye liner at the time. Maybelline’s Eye Studio Master Duo 2 in 1 Glossy eye liner looked like a good one to try out because they say you can create two different looks with one liner. Its applicator tip has a dual end letting you create thin precise lines with one side and thick bold lines with the other side. All you have to do is give it a turn and create away. This I found was easier said then done, especially when you need glasses to see close up. I could never tell just by looking at the tip witch side I had pointing at my lids. So I never could get the thin or thicker line that I was going for. It was always a surprise as to witch end I was using and it became very frustrating right from the start. I also discovered after just one use that this eye liner doesn’t wear very well. I sometime get what I call a leaky eye that will form tears for no apparent reason and I never know when this might happen. This is why I like water proof liners and mascara’s. I found out in a big hurry that this liner was not water proof and it would run like a river with just a slight bit of water. I also happened to be going out on a snowy day when I first tried this liner and the snow hitting my eye’s also made this liner run. It would never stay where I placed it no matter what I tried to do to prevent this from happening. It was a big waste of my money and I’d never recommend Maybelline’s Eye Studio Master Duo 2 in 1 Glossy liquid eye liner to anyone that prefers a water proof liner. -

The Flamed Out water Proof mascara is the newest mascara from Covergirl. It has a unique wire brush that coats your lashes giving you instant volume in a water resistant formula so you don’t have to worry about your mascara running down your face while you’re swimming this summer, or if you happen to get stuck out in a rain storm. How ever for those of you who don’t care for water proof mascara, it is available with out the water proofing. The brush is wide at the tip, thins out in the center, and then widens back out near its handle. I wasn’t sure if I’d like this brush because I’m use to a curved brush and I thought I might have a hard time with it. As it was I ended up having no trouble with this brush at all and I was able to reach each lash with out any trouble. It goes on very nicely with out clumping up, or flaking off, but it also is removed very easily with makeup remover. I put the new Covergirl Flamed Out Mascara on in the morning, went out in the rain, had it on all day and when I was ready to remove it that night, it still looked as nice as it did when I first placed it on my lashes that morning. It doesn’t feel heavy on at all, in fact I felt like I wasn’t wearing mascara. The new Flamed Out Mascara is available in Very Black Blaze, Black Blaze and Black/brown blaze. I bought the Very Black Blaze and didn’t find it to be to black at all, in fact I didn’t even realise I had picked that one up until after I first tried it. I thought I just bought the Black Blaze, so I can’t see there being very much of a different between the two colour shades. I’m happy with the new Covergirl Flamed Out water proof Mascara and I’m pretty sure you would be too. -

You can use a little or the whole package because it comes with a resealable lid. It has the prefect blend of cream cheese a touch of basil and a burst of tomato. You can use a little of it, or the entire tub. It melts very easily and gives any recipe a nice new twist. There are a few recipes on line that show you how you can use Philly Tomato & Basil Cooking Crème, or you can just make up your own new recipe, or just add a touch of this crème to an old recipes to freshen it up. Everyone in my family loves it. Every time I ask what everyone wants for dinner they always asking me to make something with the Philly Tomato & Basil Cooking Crème, or one of the other cooking Crème that are now out. You can find it in the same area where cheese is sold in your supper market and there are six different flavours to choose from. Original cooking crème, Herb & garlic, Savoury Garlic, Herb & Garlic Light cooking Crème, Italian Three Cheese and Tomato & Basil. You’re sure to find one that will give your old recipes a jump start, or give you a new idea for a new recipe. My family love’s it and I love that I’ve found something new to give dinner some new life -
