20 Products for Soft and Kissable Valentine's Day Lips

Whether or not you already have a valentine this holiday, you've got to be prepared for any kisses coming your way. This means you've got to have a smooth, soft and kissable pucker not matter the time or day!

Getting that perfect pout is easy with these simple steps and products you'll need to get your smoocher on!

Step 1: Exfoliate

First things first: scrub and exfoliate your lips to remove any dead and peeling skin. (Hint: try our DIY lip scrub here). Use your fingers or an old toothbrush with the scrub when applying the product and rub gently in a circular pattern.

Prods to Try:
1. Elizabeth Grant: The Socializer Can You Keep A Secret? Lip Exfoiliator and Conditioning Balm (C$38.00)
2. Clarins Extra-Firming Lip & Contour Gentle Exfoliator (C$31.00)
3. Fresh Brown Sugar Lip Polish (US$22.50)
4. Bite Fruit Lip Scrub (US$18.00)
5. Lush Lip Scrub (C$8.00)

Step 2: Moisturize

After the scrub, use a lip balm to seal in your lip's natural moisture. This is especially important overnight!

1. Eos Organic Sphere Lip Balm (US$3.00)
2. Korres Lip Butter (US$9.00)

Because lipsticks can be drying, we suggest applying over balm or choose a lipstick with extra moisturizing ingredients.

2. Cargo Lip Gloss Quad (US$24.00)
3. Principessa Pinkini Lip Gloss (C$16.00)

@missnicolemarie I have the Lush lip scrub in mint julep. I really like it for those times when my lips start to flake and no matter how much balm I put on, it doesn't seem to go away. It really just gets rid of all that yucky stuff.

I recommend using it with an old tooth brush to exfoiliate and then rinsing off and lathering on a thick balm or just vaseline.

Also- just using sugar and an oil will work just fine, it's a lot cheaper in the long run! Check out the DIY article for that. If you find you need more scrub action, just add more sugar to your mixture!

These all look so nice, I still haven't tried a lip scrub, but I'd sure like to. One day I'll get around to it.

Has anybody every tried the Lush Lip Scrub ?

Out of curiosity did it work well, I get really dry lips in the winter and find a lot of those scrubs don't cut it for me.
