Sink your teeth into these two gents, ladies! Halloween is almost upon us so we have a vampire hottie face off this week with True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard a.k.a.Eric Northman and Buffy the Vampire Slayer's David Boreanaz a.k.a. Angel. Forget Robert Pattinson- these two men are the real hunky vamps! They'll square off in four rounds, going head to head in difficult, though sexy battles. Finally, we'll crown one man - or in this case undead man - the hottest of them all. 

Round 1: Who's the better vampire?

Alexander/Eric (left): Eric is a little more dangerous, he's edgy and unpredictable. You'd never be bored with him in your life! He'd surprise you whether for good or bad when you'd least expect it! Of course, the downside to this is that you'd never have a moment's peace. And you'd probably have to let him feed off of you. I don't know about you, but I don't pull off the neck scarf very well and I don't want to be spending a fortune on concealers to cover those fang marks up!
 
David/Angel (right): If you'll recall from our nerdy chic pose-off, I'm a huge Buffy The Vampire Slayer fan. That being said, I know that Angel is a 'good vamp', the explanation, without getting into uber geek territory, is that he has the soul of a human but the powers of a vampire. Angel always has Buffy's back in battle, he has strong morals and is passionate- all good vamp or boyfriend qualities. However, I've always found the lack of danger in Angel very irritating, I mean, sure he's had his moments but in general, he's kind of ho-hum. 

Winner: Like in past Gratuitous Hottie Face Offs, here, we have two extremes and I refuse to decide between them. It's apples and oranges! If only there was an apprange. 

Round 2: Who's working the t-shirt?

Alexander: This is one of my favourite pictures of Alexander. I love how he looks so strong in his grey tee. It's like he's walking towards you, with this look in his eye and as soon as he gets there, he's going to pull you up in his arms and kiss you. Or is that just me? 
 
David: Well, hello there, brooding, dark and mystery man in a white tee. You are lookin' mighty fine. Just stay there, against that wall, don't move, don't even speak. Just brood and look intense- it's working. 

Winner: Once again, my job is made more difficult by having to decide. After serious consideration, I'm going to go with David. Perhaps this is just my preteen crush talking but I absolutely love his broad shoulders and sculpted abs in a basic white tee! 

Round 3: Who holds their own without the fangs?

Alexander: Despite some rather embarrassing beginner roles (i.e. Meekus, one of the male model roomies in Zoolander), Alexander seems like a genuinely fun, warm-hearted guy. He's the kind of guy you'd love to have at your party- all around good people, you know the type? 

David: As one of the stars of the show Bones, David is funny and light-hearted but I miss the tortured soul of Angel. While I love and adore Angel, if you take away the powers, the fangs and the intensely emotional quotes from the show, what are you left with? A hot middle aged guy who has admitted infidelity. Kind of disappointing. 

Winner: Going with Alexander here, the infidelity stories have tainted Angel for me-- my 11 year old self is severely disappointed. 

Round 4: The question is- Who's the better dresser?

Alexander: Doesn't take many risks, but always looks sleek and stylish. It's masculine without being overbearing. Simple and modern without skimping on details. As his alter ego Eric, however, I think he needs to take a breather on the V-necks and leather. 

David: This is kind of a crazy outfit- I like my men in dark colours- this orangina sweater is too much! How about we just take off that sweater, David? I don't even think you need to wear a shirt. Ever. At all.

Winner: Giving this one up to Alexander, David is by no means a horrible dresser but I think this belongs to Alexander for always keeping it classy!

Champion: Congrats are going out to Eric/Alexander for this edition of Gratuitous Hotties for being sultry and mysterious and oh so very suave. That Sookie is a lucky lady.
